everything went well. They were on time and finished the job to my satisfaction.

I made the appointment in October and they didn't arrive until December 15th....need I say more? The work was completed to my satisfaction but I would never have taken the deal had I realized the long wait for the work to be done.

Great job, my only complaint was they had to book far out, understandably if they are busy.

It went well but one of the workers was less professional and a little scary looking. Overall it was a good job but it took a long time to get this scheduled, probably got too busy with this promotion.

He was punctual, worked fast, was competent and professional. (The service date is a guess.)

The man who came to clean the gutters discovered that the problem was not the gutters but two downspouts, which were completely impacted. He could not disimpact them. I had had other companies clean my gutters, which still overflowed, so he was the first one to find the problem. The gutters are 3 stories up, so I had not been able to investigate myself. He said he did not want to charge me for a gutter cleaning, which would not do anything until the downspouts were replaced. Someone later came to give me a quote on the downspouts, and then, after a little confusion in their office, the downspouts were replaced and the gutters cleaned. They did an excellent job, though they were a little expensive, and there seemed to be some problem in the office with scheduling.

Initial response following the purchase was prompt and they came out immediately, providing a rough estimate of what the project would entail. Then they dropped off the radar. We had to call several times as well as visit their business location to finally get a response. Once a new project manager was assigned, things picked up quickly and the project got back on track. Overall very satisfied with the quality of the work, materials and job. We would use them again despite the minor hiccup involving the communication.

They were on-time and it was an easy process to schedule and get the appointment done. The only disappointment I have is that the moss on the roof seem to come back quickly. This may be an error in my expectations but I thought the treatment would possibly prevent the moss from coming back on the following rainy season.

I purchased special priced services online in late Sep or early Oct. The firm did contact me within the stated 2 days to schedule, but services could not be performed until late Nov. I was disappointed that scheduling was so far out. I contacted the firm a couple days before service to confirm and to verify that high pressure would not be used. The person assured me they use a special spray head to avoid damaging shingles. The crew informed me upon arrival that the service I was getting did not in fact include any washing/brushing but rather was simply blowing off debris and manually clean-out of valleys and gutters as necessary. I believe the online ad should have been more specific about services to be performed. I was still overall satisfied with the cleanup performed and the crew was diligent about cleaning up debris that fell on the ground.

Homemasters was prompt and timely to review my home for gutter replacement. I liked the estimator, their product, etc. After he left, it took 9 days to receive my quote. He said he'd email it to me on the 9th day (after he called on the 9th day) and it took another 2 days to email the quote to me. In the quote, their were errors, critical errors. The repair was mislabeled and most of the pictures of "my home" were of another home all together. It's too bad, I wanted to use this company, but their lack of professionalism, untimely response and follow up, as well as significant errors in the quote did not give me confidence that the project would be handled properly. I moved on.

As far as I could tell, they cleaned the gutters OK. However, they were unable to provide any photos of the work they did (we asked them in advance if they could do so), as it is a two-story house and so it wasn't possible to otherwise inspect their work. I believe their contract had a clause in it refusing to accept chargebacks, which is of course is a consumer protection and one of the points of paying with a credit card. They tried too hard to push other expensive services. They didn't photograph or inspect other problems with the gutters that would have been useful to assess while they were up there.

They were okay and came on time. They advised of additional work that needed to be done and then I never heard back from them. There was a lack of follow up.

I called the company and they will send someone out to look at it and retreat if necessary but that is an extra problem I don't need right now. I thought by looking at the agreement the moss would be removed now they say that it was just the treatment so if it doesn't die out it was a useless effort.

I have used HomeMasters twice to clean my roof and treat it to prevent moss growth. They are very thorough and do excellent work. The workman that performed the service took pride in their work and it shows. I would recommend their service.

They came on one of those really cold days and id a good job, cleaned up well

Service was purchased in early September. I was contacted later, and was told that no one would be available to come out until November 20th. About a week after the 20th, I noticed that there were still problems with the gutters overflowing. I called to see what exactly had been done, and after three days of calling I set up an appointment for someone to go back out to the house to take a look. I was told that a serviceman would report back to me what was done, and still haven't gotten anyone to return my calls. I gave them 3 months to try and do the job right. That was way too long. Homemasters seems truly unorganized. Service records and reports are vague if they exist at all, and scheduling is nearly impossible. Not recommended.

It went great. They did a thorough job and cleaned up sidewalks and decks afterward. I'm very pleased. Thank you.

They came out for an estimate. They took several weeks to get back to me about scheduling the job. I wondered if they had forgotten about me. I had already decided, though, that perhaps the gutters just needed a good cleaning, and that was, indeed, the case.

We didn't have any problems. They did a fine job.

The staff is super friendly but so unresponsive. We had someone come out two months ago to make sure we could make repairs before a new baby arrived. I had to call multiple times before they came back to me with a quote. The quote then didn't honor Angie's List pricing or break-down materials cost. Ultimately we're giving up because they aren't getting back to us with a revised quote. So disappointed.

On October 29, 2013, I purchased a gutter cleaning and roof debris removal deal through your site from Homemasters. I am very unhappy with the (lack of) service so far and have requested a refund from Angie's List. When I did not hear from the company for two weeks after purchasing the deal, I called the company. I was told that they were too busy with orders to even schedule an inspection (the inspection being needed before scheduling the actual work). I noticed that even though they were too busy to even talk about scheduling, they had a new big deal offer currently going on with Angie?s List for the same service. If you cannot take care of your current client load in a timely manner, you have no business taking on new clients. On Friday, Nov 22, 2013, Doug was supposed to show up at 4pm to do the inspection. He did not show up. When I called on Monday, Nov 25, the Homemasters office was unaware that he had not shown up. We rescheduled for 4pm that evening. Jim did show up, but was completely unaware of who I was (he called me by some other customer's name) and did not know what service I had purchased. When he was done with his evaluation, he handed me a contract to sign. This document said that by signing below, I "agreed to the terms specified on the back of the proposal" (the back of the proposal was blank) and that "I have read the following forms required to be included by the state of Oregon with this proposal: 1) Consumer Notification Form, 2) Owner's Duty to Contractor in the Event of a Residential Construction Dispute and 3) Information Notice to Owner about Construction Liens." None of these forms was provided. Jim said he had never heard of these documents. When I called the Homemasters, a man who identified himself as Gary (the manager) said that the forms were unimportant - they were just a bunch of good old boys who showed up to do a job and have fun. Since these documents are legally required by the state of Oregon, perhaps Homemasters should familiarize themselves with them. I have no confidence that Homemasters can do a proper job. Even if they could, the earliest they could show up as a bunch of good old boys to have fun with my gutters would be Dec 27, 2013. As such, I have let Homemasters know I am requesting a refund from Angie's List.

I bought the service 10-25-2013, they keep putting off the service with no actual commit date. |Finally, last week they committed to 12/27/13 - ridiculous! I called yesterday, told them to cancel the service, totally fed-up. They then offered to do the service for $75.00 initiation truck fee, plus $49/half-hour, and credit back the original $119.00 fee I paid Angies. I agreed to this. So net-net, they showed up today when more money was put on the table....

They were great and did a good job.

First, the nice people at the store guaranteed me that they would honor my Angie's List coupon. Then they booked the appointment for costing the job. They sent Greg Bray, a knowledgeable and experienced guy. He was very friendly and on time every time he came or called. He kept track of our job along with Steve in the job booking dept. He also sent us a computer file showing our job from a space mapping service. Everyone at Homemasters made sure all our questions were always answered. I must say it again, Homemasters are the nicest people, they treat their customers like gold. Our pricing along with our Angie's List coupon made this top of the line 50 year roof with fancy shingles the same price range as a regular flat shingle roof. We took 3 bids from local contractors and hands down, Homemasters offered the best roof at the best price. What we got: Top of the line Certainteed Luxury Shake shingles, with a content of zinc and copper in the shingle itself, a must for Northwest Winters because it keeps moss off the roof. These were installed on top of a 3 layer vapor proof sophisticated underlay system. We had all the old vents removed and had a top vent cut across the gable. We had the chimney to the old fireplace (which we removed) taken down; now the flashing won't leak ever again because it's gone. They installed very high quality metal gutter flashing in the valleys (we have a complicated roof with 4 peaks). The job also included our 2 car garage sized shop next to our house. Same roof, same quality, and the new vent is wonderful. Our roof is a very high very steep, and we are on a hill. This job was much harder than the usual job because our landscaping made it impossible to get the large truck that puts the shingles on the roof into the yard. The men had to carry shingles on their backs up the ladders instead. Also the very steep-ness of our roof meant it took more material to cover it. Lots of safety equipment was used too. The crew that did the job worked from sun up to sun down breaking only for lunch; which they took tailgate style on the back of their truck. They cleaned the entire yard of debris, leaving no trace behind. With all the fancy shrubs around our house, they never broke a stem. They were kind and polite and we enjoyed their company while they were here. A week after the job was done, Greg Bray returned to our house to inspect the job. He took a good photo of our house to share with us and he left us our Certificate from Certainteed for 50 year guarantee. He encouraged our each and every question and said to call if there was anything ever he could do to back up this job. We are so pleased with Homemasters and with Angie's List that we are planning to paint our house and put up new gutters with these same people next summer. I waited for a couple of rainy days to report the difference to you, the reader. Our roof is so silent now we can't hear the rain. Even upstairs is silent. Our heaters don't kick on because we aren't losing heat out the roof anymore. Cost savings. We are very pleased and we rate both Angie's List and Homemasters at 100 Percent. We WILL do business again.
