Crew cleaned debris (oak leaves and debris, ponderosa pine needles) from roof, hand cleaned gutters and downspouts, and secured some loose gutter supports. They then applied moss treatment to entire roof. This was during one of our cold spells so crew had chip some ice from the gutters. Great job, successful moss treatment.

The roofing crew worked hard and fast and completed the tear-off and replacement in 3 days. They cleaned up perfectly. The light tunnels had not arrived in time to be installed during the roofing timeline, so a pair of handymen arrived a week later to install them. We had to be home to determine the location of the tunnels, and they were not able to install one in the interior bath because of the location of plumbing and wiring in the attic and a roof valley. This was the main location we wanted a skylight, so we were very disappointed. If the estimator had looked in the attic when we were negotiating our contract, he might have been able to tell us that ahead of time. I think he had very limited experience with the product. We love our skylights, nothing leaks, just wish we could have put one in that window-less bathroom. The installers broke a picture frame during the install: the company deducted the cost of a new frame from the final bill.

Overall the company provided great service. We had not had our roof cleaned before (we have owned the house for 23 years), and it really needed it on 2 sides of the roof. The roof was really clean when the work was done and I was really pleased at how well the technician cleaned up afterward. The only difficulty was the original contact after the e-mail exchange that the company had received my work order. They did not have a valid phone number to reach me, and I had to contact them to get the ball rolling. However, this could have been my mistake (I was unable to check because I had already deleted the e-mail exchange at that point). I would like to point out that you should have the roof cleaned before you clean your windows. The spray from the roof cleaning impacts the windows.

I had some issues with cracked caulk. They actually taught me how to do it myself, which was really nice! It was definitely worth the price. They stuck pretty close to the three hours allotted and they were here right when they said they would be.

A while back I purchased a deal on gutter cleaning. The guy came out and said we needed a new roof. If you get a new roof, you don't really need your gutters cleaned because cleaning gutters is included in a new roof process. We started researching and figuring out what we wanted to do, and I called they guy back and left messages, and he didn't call me back. Several weeks later, he did call me to find out what we had decided, and I told him that I was disappointed that he didn't call me back. I told him we were still trying to figure out what we were going to do. A few weeks later, I called and left a message and told him that I would like to get the gutters cleaned, and he never called me back. (At that point we decided to stay with our old roof longer.) And now, finally, we have decided to replace the roof after all (because we are moving). So we don't need the gutters cleaned, and frankly, I don't want to do business with Homemasters because it's nearly impossible to get ahold of the guy. So I am requesting a refund for the gutter cleaning deal that I had purchased.

It turned out OK. I liked the work they did. The guy said I needed new gutters but I didn't believe them because I've never had any issues with my gutters and he also said the flashing around my chimney was coming loose. Hopefully the work they did was good but I didn't climb up there. I didn't spend anything extra. Normally they charge $50 more if it was over a certain amount of square footage but they didn't charge it to my bill. They were pretty booked out so they came out a month later in November.

It turned out very well. I was very happy with them. They came to the front door and introduced themselves. I offered to give the garden hose to help clean up the gutters. They said, "No." They went up on the roof and cleaned them from the roof; even over the 2-story drop. They used a bucket of water to flush the gutters. Someone went up and looked and said the gutters were cleaned but I question that because the first downpour we had I got a great deal of leaves in all of the downspout clean-outs. But I'm happy with their work. It was necessary for them to throw the material in the gutters out on the ground, but then they went around and raked and blew all of it away. The final cost of the service was $12 more than the big deal amount, there was a $12 cash payment prior to the service.

The service was alright. I ended up getting better guards from another company. I scheduled it then I cancelled it and they didn't get the word so they came out anyway...it happened right after I cleaned the roof so they didn't really do anything for me. It was miscommunication I guess.

The service tech was professional and fast.

The guy was a hard worker and he cleaned up after himself. He was very professional and finished in the time quoted.

It was ok. It took a few calls back to get them to complete the service to our satisfaction, but they were always willing to come back out. They weren?t as polite to my wife as I would have liked. But when I called the people on the line, they were always cordial. The deal seemed over priced for the service that we got. The first day they came out, it was pouring rain and I can understand why they wouldn't want to stay out there long, but the moss treatment didn't actually kill the moss due to the rain. They were ok coming back out to reapply, but they were certainly not polite to my wife who was there to meet them.

I originally purchased a Big Deal with the intent of having Homemasters simply repair my gutters because they were not installed properly by the prior homeowner. A rep came to my house and explained that they could do this or also replace gutters and quoted both. I agreed to the pricing for repair and asked them to schedule the work. The next contact I had was a week later when I found ladder marks in my lawn when I returned from work, and a voicemail saying a crew had been to my house that day and tried to do this work, but that they couldn't get the nails out of the soffits without tearing the existing gutters apart. I was OK with the result, but didn't like the fact that they didn't call to tell me they were coming. It would have surpised me to find someone on my roof if I had been home. The rep then came back a few days later and allowed me to choose a new color of gutter. A week later I got a call indicating they would come on Monday and perform the install; they did not do it on Monday, and I received no update. They did do the work on Tuesday. As part of the work, they also re-located one of my downspouts, which I was pleased about -- I considered this an upgrade that they did without charging me extra for the labor to do so. Overall my experience was positive, though they should improve their communcations between the work crews and the customer.

I think they did okay. My husband was home when they came so I didn't even see them. They did a good job I guess. I think it cost $25 more than the "Big Deal" because of the height of our house or something like that.

After purchase, I had to make several call to get the service scheduled. Each time I was told that the scheduler would call me back and set a date. |When the date was finally scheduled--they arrived at the scheduled time and did do a good job. |

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out very well; outstanding. They did a good job and they were very professional. I asked them to do additional service so I spent above the Big Deal price. They did not solicit the extra business and were good.

The service was fine. They did what they said they were going to do and they left. They were quick and professional to the point. They showed up knocking on the door. I answered the phone and they were here. They did the job and it looked cool. The price was fine.

I bought the deal from Angie's list and arrange a time from them to come up. They did a good job cleaning up the gutters! I'm pretty happy with the job.

Delivered exactly what I expected for a Big Deal promotion. Good work and timely correspondence.

They were scheduled a bit out, but showed up on the day they said they would and knocked out the job all in one day, There were a couple of last minute items that we added to their scope, and the change orders were in line with the rest of the job (no gouging.) I feel like all in all they did a good job, at a fair price.

They suggested some other work to repair/protect roof/venting flashing. I am waiting for a bid on that. They also do skylite replacement.

They were very polite. The blew off a small building room without any extra charge. The roof looks great.

They did a great job of gutter cleaning. Minor confusion about scope of work, but would use them in the future

First, the pros: Homemaster scheduled my roof replacement quicker than was originally set up, which meant the roof was replaced before bad winter weather set in. We are pleased with the quality of the finished roof and new gutters. Pricing was competitive. The crew installed a chimney cover I had purchesed at Home Depot, without extra charge (I did tip the crew leader). Cons: Cleanup was OK, but not perfect. Found pieces of old roof on ground, and a ledge with debris was missed. The crew failed to cover my outdoor A/C compressor, which got lots of debris inside it. The crew blew out the debris as best they could, and the A/C seemed to work OK, although the big test won't come until next summer. When the skylights were replaced, dirt fell into the house in our entrance hallway and bathrooms.We got no notice ahead of time that dirt would come into the house. The main problem was the dirt and debris that fell onto our attic storage area when the old roof was torn off. Items we store there, including electronics, photos, documents and keepsakes, were covered with dirt. We didn't notice this until we went into the attic for Christmas decorations in December. The debris inside our house could have been prevented if we had received notice from the crew that that would happen, and we could have placed tarps under the roof areas that caused debris during tearoff. Then we could have just removed the tarps and cleaned them off. Because we didn't get notice, we have to clean each attic storage item and the attic flooring area.

Cleaned all of our gutters and blew debris off of the roof. Very punctual and professional.

They arrived early and got right to work. I ran some errands and my wife was home. She was surprised when they were done in less than 30 minutes, but even more surprised when they did not let her know they were done. They simply took off. I trust that the work was completed but cannot tell, it's too high up. If evidence of the work not being completed shows up in the coming spring rains, I'll be sure to contact them and Angie's.
