Kevin (owner of the Duct Guys) and his two assistants were exceedingly polite and professional, and I can certainly recommend their job performance. They arrived on time and immediately sized up the job (13 vents). At my request, Kevin also did an inspection of the vent system, which is 50 or more years old. The crew finished the cleaning in three hours. I received a $50 discount coupon as a member of Angie's List, and with it, the total was $276. The next day Kevin and the crew returned to perform major repairs on the duct system in the basement and in the crawl space. New sheet metal fittings were applied to correct an air deficit in an upstairs bedroom. This work, which took 3 1/2 hours, was an additional $250. It seemed to me that the charges were more than reasonable, considering the extent of the repairs. Overall, it was a pleasure to have the Duct Guys working in the house.

These guys arrived on time and did the job they were hired to do. Nothing outstanding and nothing horrible just an overall decent job. They assisted with finishing the dryer vent cleaning I'd already started.

It went fine, exactly as it should have.

The service was very prompt and professional and the price was reasonable. Our dryer was not drying clothes very well in the days after we had out ducts cleaned. We thought maybe the connection between the dryer and the vent was damaged when the duct guys disconnected it for service. They came back to our house to check it and found that our dryer vent was clogged where it exits the house - definitely not a problem that they had caused. Nevertheless they cleaned it on the spot at no charge. These guys are great. I couldn't be happier with their service.

Kevin came out to clean our dryer vent. He was very efficient and professional and personable. He was very through in his work. I would most certainly use him again.

Excellent service. Kevin was easy to work with. Answered all my questions well over the phone before I signed him up for the work. We had this done 5 years ago, by a contractor who uses a truck-mounted bag system. That is not what Kevin uses -- which was fine because his system still did collect a lot of dust out our ducts, even though we've had no construction projects or anything that would have added debris into the ducts over the years. His price also was far less than what we paid 5 years ago. They also collected A LOT of dust and lint out of the dryer vent, which has about a 15 to 20-foot run from our dryer to the outside (because our laundry room is in the middle portion of the house, on the downstairs floor).

I called up Kevin to clean the dryer vent in the home I had just purchased. He showed up when expected, and did a fine job on it. Since he was there, I also asked if he would do a bid on cleaning the heating ducts as well, which he agreed to. After he looked at things he said something along the lines of "The vents are pretty clean, and look like they don't need to be done." Now, what percentage of contractors do you know who would basically: a) Decline a job that I was more than willing to have done. b) Decline a job that I would probably have no idea that wasn't really needed. So, he kept me from spending a couple hundred dollars unnecessarily, and all I can give to him is major kudos in an Angie's List report.

We called the Duct Guys because our dryer had quit drying clothes, there was no air coming out of the vent outside, and when my husband tried to snake the line he felt it collapse somewhere in the crawl space. Kevin was able to come out the next day. He and his technician arrived right around 8am. The technician went in the crawl space and repaired the broken duct. Then they worked as a team to clean the duct system. It was incredibly dirty and they worked until it was free of debris and blowing strong out the outside vent. Then they replaced our difficult to use duct behind the dryer with a more flexible type. Both Kevin and his technician were very friendly and funny. They did a great job, cleaned up their mess, and made sure I was satisfied before they left. I thought the price was reasonable for the amount of time they spent on the job.

Kevin and his crew were very prompt, polite and efficient with this job. They had a very dirty system to work with and in spite of some surprises, they handled the job very well. When I had some follow up questions for Kevin, he didn't hesitate to be of assistance and dealt with the issues. Overall it was a positive experience and we know the level of dust that we'd been experiencing for a long time will be greatly diminished. Thank you Kevin, Chuy and Paul!

I e-mailed Kevin for a quote based upon the number of air ducts in my home. He responded quickly with a price. I then called to set up a time for him to do the work. He and his assistant were considerate of my request that they wear booties inside the house. They even remembered to remove them when going down to the basement - each and every time. This may be a first in our experience with contractors. I felt that they were efficient and did a thorough job. Kevin showed me areas where the heat could be escaping from the furnace, and gave me suggestions as to how to close them up. A very friendly duo.

I knew there was big trouble with my dryer vent when I started to smell a "laundry smell" throughout my house each time the dryer was running. Even though the dryer seemed to be venting outside the house, it was clear that there was a break somewhere in the ductwork. Unfortunately, all of the ductwork is behind drywall. I knew something had to be done I called Kevin and we made an appointment for the following week. He told me that there was no trip charge, that he would take a look and give an estimate, but would be ready to do the work if I wanted to proceed. He called when he was on his way up from Salem, asking if he could come a little early. Awesome! Kevin and his assistant (Ryan?) showed up and didn't waste any time diagnosing the problem. They scoped the dryer vent and, of course, found that the break was behind the drywall. Kevin gave an estimate right there and asked if I wanted to continue, but it was clear that it had to replaced if I ever wanted to use my dryer again. They got right to work, carefully cutting into the drywall. I was surprised at how little had to be removed ? they were being very careful to make is as easy as possible to patch up. Unfortunately, they needed to get behind some wall-mounted cabinets to really get in there, but were unfazed and carefully took them down. Before long, it was evident that flexible ductwork had been used and, even worse, it had been taped together by weak vinyl tape. Not exactly built to last. The wall was full of dryer lint. Kevin and Ryan pulled out all the old flexible ductwork, substituting solid 4? aluminum. It was quite a feat, because the run from the basement to the outside vent was anything but direct and had to go through notched studs. Somehow, they made it all work and got everything well connected, secured and perfectly aligned. Kevin absolutely insisted on making it perfect, when many contractors might have just jammed things together and called it good. I am confident that I will never need to replace my dryer vent ever again. My clothes dry much faster now, my house doesn?t smell like laundry and I don?t have the sinking feeling that I am ignoring a big problem. And, despite my worst fears, the drywall repairs will be minimal. Kevin and Ryan were terrific to work with. They were totally professional, but very friendly and funny and didn?t back down when the job got a bit ugly. It all took longer than any of us expected, and they had to go to another appointment mid-way through the repair. It was good to see that they honored the other person?s scheduled time, rather than pushing them back. If you have a dryer vent issue, give Kevin a call first. He just might have more experience with dryer vents than anyone out there, and will do a great job for you. I?m going to have him back to clean my heating ducts once I digest this repair bill!

He came out as scheduled and on time. They did a great job. Price came to what he quoted. While he was here he observed another problem with the duct and promptly scheduled the following saturday to come out and fix it. He only charged me $50. He also found a potential sewer pipe leak and recommended I have somebody look at it. Oh and by the way, humor is free with this guy. I highly recommend.

I scheduled an appointment about a week in advance with Kevin at a time that was conducive with my work schedule. He provided an estimate at that time based on the number of rooms (I was unsure of the number of vents) and the actual cost came in lower than the estimate. He and his team arrived on time to clean out my dryer vent and air ducts. Kevin and his two assistants were very professional. They were very considerate of my home and pets, explained the process as they were going along, fixed a leak in my dryer connection without charge, blew out my garage as a bonus and well honestly the service could not have been better! I would recommend The Duct Guys without hesitation!

They were very professional, quick and efficient. Arrived exactly when they said they would. I appreciate tradesmen that are considerate of my home and my time, and the Duct Guys fall into that catagory! They were very careful to explain the entire process while they were working. I will certainly be calling on them again and recommend them to everyone I know that may need this service. It was nice to work with people who took pride in their work and in your home.

I emailed Kevin, and received a phone call the next business day as expected. We discussed what services I needed, air duct cleaning and dryer vent repair with replacement of the the exterior vent cover. We arranged a time on my day off, and rescheduled for the next week without any problems. Kevin and his tech Paul arrived as arranged. Kevin called me to let me know that he would be about 30 minutes later than planned due to an accident on the road. He drove from Monmouth! Before cleaning the vents, he did an inspection to make sure that they needed to be cleaned, and found that one of my vents in the crawl space under the house had been destroyed by rats. Yuck. He needed to do extensive repair to the duct and rehung another that was on the way down as well. They were able to clean the rest of the house vents once that was repaired, and then repaired the dryer vent. It was much larger job than expected, but he kept me informed along the way as to what needed to be done, and the difference in the initial estimate. Money well spent. He even needed to do some rescheduling of other appointments that he had to get the job done right. Kevin and Paul did an awesome job, with a great sense of humor, and expertise. He also let me know what I need to do in the crawl space to clean up the rat mess. I would highly recommend these Duct Guys, and will happily use their services again.

Kevin found 3 surprises in 'my old house.' There were ducts disconnected. Some had wires running through them. A previous owner had installed an air makeup from the master bedroom to the old fireplace. Once all problems were discovered and discussed, Kevin and I spoke about a change in the cost. I was very pleased with the cost of $350.00 with a $50.00 off coupon for mentioning them on Angie's List. This house was built in 1946 and has had the hand of many people who thought they could innovate or repair. They could not. Kevin was very patient, professional and especially communicative when problems arose. I would/ will definitely hire them again.

I have no complaints they came ion time, they worked efficiently and finished quickly and we are very satisfied.

We moved into a new house and the brand new dryer quit after 2 loads. Repairman said the vent was probably clogged. The Duct Guys came the very next morning after I called. Searched for dryer vent everywhere, from inside the house and outside. Two of them were all over the place looking, which was a relief because we hadn't been able to find it, either. After vacuuming out as best they could (without any intake from the other end), they tapped til the guy outside could hear the noise. It seems the dryer vents under a wide deck (that has been there for at least several years) and the deck support bolted onto the house covers the dryer vent. The Chief Duct Guy said we need to have someone go under the deck, or take out some decking boards, and find the exact spot, cut the board to open the vent, shore up the deck, and then the Duct Guys would come back to finish cleaning the vent. (This is so appalling to me. I can't understand how the former owners could have been venting their dryer into a closed vent pipe for years, and why it seemed to have dried their laundry, and immediately when we move in, it doesn't work at all. I understand how you can't go on filling up a vent, but why now, and why not before?) Chief Duct Guy was very nice, kept me informed each time he thought he had it figured out, and when he was incorrect. It was almost funny how bad this job was. His assistant was polite and quiet. Both had a sense of humor about the frustrations of the job. He charged me $50 for an hour and a half work for two guys, which is very generous. Granted, the job didn't get completed, but from a provider's perspective, it was a lot of time for the money.

Without seeing the job in advance, I asked them to replace what I thought was probably a flexible dryer vent in the crawlspace and repair the vent to the outside. They came out and told me that the vent pipe was solid piping. It didn't need to be replaced, just re-taped. They retaped the vent pipe, replaced the louvered vent cover and vacuumed the vent out They were neat, pleasant and fairly quick.

I would absolutely recommend Kevin, Paul and Chuy to anyone needing duct and/or dryer vent cleaning! I will also not hesitate to call them for future needs. I put in a request online by email, based on the reviews I read here on Angie's List. I received a prompt phone call from Kevin to discuss the job and schedule a next-day visit. The guys showed up on time and ready to work. They were so careful and considerate of our home and belongings and wore booties to protect the carpet. (Nice camo booties, btw!) They also cleaned up after themselves as they went along. The job was completed in the time frame discussed and everything went well. They cleaned all the ducts in our two-story house and also the dryer vent. Our home was built in 2003 and had never had the ducts cleaned before now. There was certainly a lot of construction debris in the duct work! Glad to have that cleaned out. Kevin, Paul and Chuy explained each procedure and answered any questions I had along the way. They also made recommendations and provided me with information that would be useful after they left, such as I might notice a slight "burning" odor when the furnace was turned on again - harmless, and the result of a light amount of dust that would remain on the interior of the furnace and burn off quickly. Such nice guys! Honest, hard-working and polite. :) A pleasure to have in my home.

Kevin and Paul were great. They worked hard and worked efficiant. They explained what they would be doing and then went to it. They were personable, genuine and a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with work they did and

I had used Duct Guys previously so called them again. They did not disappoint. Kevin and a tech arrived promptly and immediately started to work after a walk thru to see the all the vents, 17 in all. They were exceptionally careful not to mar any walls, doorways or furniture during the process. Also covered their shoes so nothing was brought in from the outside. The price was exactly what he originally quoted. Definitely would recommend them.

They were very prompt and responsive. They did a very professional job and took time to explain to me what the process was. Kevin was very positive, wanted to make sure that the job was done right---which he did. I will recommend them to my friends. We are very pleased.

I chose them from Angie's List. They were okay, but not super great. I found a duct that they missed. When the house was built, the painters were using one of the rooms to spray oil based paint on the wood work while the heating was on. the paint got all into the ducts, which is why we needed the Duct Guys to clean them out.
