My Dodge Ram work van suddenly lost its power steering. The van was also in need of various other minor repairs. I used Angie's List to find a trustworthy shop and settled on Quality Plus Auto Repair in Salem. Not only did they not disappoint, but they exceeded my expectations. Everyone was genuinely friendly, and the mechanics are very knowledgeable and professional. The owner, Cindy, is also the Service Manager/Advisor, and she deserves the highest praise. She listens carefully and explains things equally carefully and clearly. She has the talent of being professional while, at the same time, making you feel very relaxed and "taken care of". The bottom line is that I TRUST these guys. They're honest, professional, and affordable.

I like them a lot. They did very extensive work in my car about eight months ago. The owner is a woman and she is the manager. She hires mechanics. She gives lots of information and she is very knowledgeable. She does all the ordering and she is very well organized. She always calls up if they encounter something that they didn’t expect and gives me the options. They are quite timely. She will let the mechanic talk to me if she can’t tell me what is wrong. They always have the old parts to show me. I always feel well informed of what is going on. They do quality job and they pay attention to details.

Everyting went very well and they told me we did not need the suspensiion grommets. I had them perform the other repairs and it came a bit under estimate and I was very satisfied with their courtesy, professionalism and prompness. I plan to use them for all service they can handle in the future.

Last week, I went back to Quality Plus for the third time because my wife's car had the engine light on in the dashboard. They did a diagnostic scan and came out and told me that there were a couple of things that did not need immediate attention but what did need immediate attention was the gas cap, which was missing. Apparently, the service attendant at the gas station did not screw the gas cap back on. Cindy charged us just for the gas cap and not for the diagnostic scan. I don't know how many garages would have done that but I left with a sense of well-being at not having wasted money over a scan when the primary problem was a missing gas cap. Car repair is all about asymmetric information - the supplier of the repairs i.e. the garage knows a lot more than me, the consumer. This is why consumers get screwed over pretty frequently in this particular business and that is pretty common knowledge. I don't know about you but when I find someone who is reliable, honest and has reasonable prices in this business, it would be foolish of me to even consider another place. They have my business and my goodwill.

It was excellent service. They were very knowledgeable and it was a clean shop. I thought the price was fair and they were very professional.

Cindy is very down-to-earth and friendly. She wanted to make sure I followed through with the services I said I was going to do (tune-up and oil change) and didn't try to pressure me into any service I didn't need. We talked about the timing chain and worked out some rough pricing for possible future work. Part of the reason I went to Cindy was to check her out and fine a mechanic my girlfriend could go to after her warranty expires. I think I found one.

On time and at the price promised. The repair to my truck was minor and I did not have time to do it myself. As I have done many times before, I dropped it off the night before and out the key in the slot. Cindy called me at work the next morning and I told what was wrong. They did the work for almost exactly what she thought it would cost and got it done a day early.

It went great. Cindy was personable and professional both on the phone and in person, the work was done in a timely manner for a fair price. I will be bringing them more work. It's nice to find a business that treats you right and does great work.

We've been going to them for many years. They are very honest and reliable. They are honest in their report and report the proper problem and are not pushy. I would strongly recommend them to others.
