One day prior to moving our daughter home for the summer from college, she called to say her shifter on her 2005 Ford Focus would not allow her to use any gear. Since we live in the Seattle area, I called a friend that lives in Salem and her recommended P&M Automotive. Being members of AAA we used P&Ms AAA towing services. They towed our car to their shop, quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts  and the car was ready to go late the next day....all for about $400 including an oil change. Wish I lived closer or P&M had a shop near me. They did a great job! Car and daughter drove home (~300 miles) and car worked just fine.

They were on-time for my appointment and explained what they did.  I had a problem with my previous headlights - they could not be adjusted due to stripped screws.  I had taken the car to AJ's and while they were happy to charge me for doing what they did (full charge to align even though they discovered early it could not be done) plus additional labor to correct mis-wiring (charging way too much for what they did, in my opinion), all they would tell me when I asked how much it would cost to do the repair was "a lot of money'".  No offer to build an estimate even though I asked several times.  Fast forward - hubby replaced entire set of lights for $88.  However they were not aligned straight out of the box.  I called P&M and they were able to give me a quote and also schedule a day and time.
They also checked fluids and tire pressure after performing the alignment.  The shop waiting area was very clean.

They did what they said they would do for the price they had quoted. They suggested other maintenance items that I could do myself in minutes at greatly inflate prices.

It was the most pleasant experience possible, under the circumstances. I encountered friendly, concerned professionals at each step!

I was told I needed to to a full valve job because the chemical treatment did not work. This would cost an additional $3000.00 which I could not afford. When I got my car home I found out it was a quart low on oil after their oil change.
I felt like i didn't get anything for the $1000.00 I spent. I will have the work done later by someone else.

Pand M is very trustworthy. Today I took my car in for what turned out to be a very small repair. That's all they did, the small repair. They didn't tell me I needed something I didn't need--something I was worried was going to cost several hundred dollars ended up costing $45. I appreciate how they do business.

They were prompt, honest and efficient !

They gave my a/c a full service and everything was great. They were very accommodating and expained everything thoroughly.

They handled all the repairs quickly. They always make us feel welcome. The repair was completed in 10 minutes. Our most recent major repair was to a wiring harness for the ignition. The work done the same day. The cost came in $100.00 less than the dealer wanted to repair it. The repair was completed to our satisfaction. We will continue using P and M for all our auto repairs.

Everything went okey as expected.

Upon request by telephone I was quoted the price for replacement or rear struts. I also received a price for the work from a trusted garage I uses in Eugene, both were about the same.
I dropped the car off and gave my cell for a contact. Sure enough they called and said the front struts were also bad and in need of replacement. This seemed odd because earlier in the day the other garage said the front struts were good but the brake lines were a little cracked and should be replaced in the future. I told the gentleman that I could not afford the work at this time.
They did the work on the rear shocks as requested. When I picked the car up they said that the fan belt needed replaced and transmission fluid was cloudy and could use a flush.
I had replace the belt in question less than six months ago.
If they just do the work you ask they may be alright but not a trusted business in my opinion.

They put out their triple A rating at their shop and they put up an excellent service. Their rating is triple A is being one of the top shops in Salem that's why I use them. I'm sure the price is competitive, there are shop that charge more and there would be even less.

I called AAA after I locked my car keys in my car in a parking lot. After my initial call to AAA, within minutes I received a confirmation text that Pand M had been sent to assist in my dilemma. The gentleman arrived 10 minutes before the estimated time, and proceeded to try every possible way to get into my car (it's not easy). After about 20 mins in the rain working on getting into my car, he managed the window down enough for access to unlock it. He was polite and diligent, a great experience.

They didn't charge me anything. They were just getting ready to close up. They actually stayed open for a little longer. They had done work for us prior to that. The dealer wanted to charge about two grand to do it. They did it for less than half of the money and they did a great job. We were really thrilled with them. They were skilled and they knew what they were doing. They were fast. They towed my car for free. They were courteous and it was like a family there. They cared about their customers. Their price was good. I have referred my friends to them.

This was a great experience. I had a battery go out down in Eugene and the AAA battery truck came out and determined it was only the battery, not the transmission or starter. Whew!! However, they did NOT have a battery available last night!! Sooo they towed me to my house in Salem (64 miles). I called AAA this morning and they contacted Pand M Automotive. They called me and said I would be next after the customer who was being aided was completed. I wanted to make sure they had the battery I needed and the girl I talked to said yes!! She said they would call when the truck was on its way. She did that. I told the her I was glad they take the time to do a good job...I was not disappointed! When the young man came to fix my car, he went right to work, was pleasant, and efficient!! That is a wonderful thing!!

They are excellent. I go to them because of the mechanics. The interaction with the mechanics is very good. I like to go back to the same place because they know my car. They are very friendly. They have comparable pricing. I would recommend them to anybody.

Work was done to my complete satisfaction.
