Description of Work: It's been awhile since the work was done, so I don't have exact dates and price, but when I was requested to give a review, I decided to do so. They cleaned the dryer vent which ran a long ways under the house. I was very pleased with the job they did. There was a huge blockage and they worked hard to get it clear. I will definitely hire them again. Good to have done every few years.

Description of Work: About 4 months ago, we moved into a 60-year old house in Salem, OR. One of the many issues we had to address was extremely dirty ducts which, we are guessing, may never had been cleaned. After calling several companies on Angie's list, we went with Oregon Ducts. One of the reasons was not the price, which was competitive, but the answer to the following question. I asked if they did a special treatment for impurities in the air since I have a lung condition. When the competitors had answered they would do it for an extra fee, (around $75), Oregon Ducts told me only in very special well-documented conditions, such as extreme mold, would it be necessary to do any additional air purifying service as their service takes care of random air impurities. Also, an extra air purifying service was be extremely expensive (around $500). The Company came to the house on time, with the funniest looking truck I'd ever seen and cleaned the ducts quickly and efficiently. We were very happy with the service, and would recommend them. |

Description of Work: We had the company clean out our ac/heating ducts as well as the dryer vent. I had miscounted the number of vents in our house, so it was a pleasant surprise when the bill was less than the estimate. They are an honest company and my wife felt very comfortable being alone with them and the baby when they were in the house doing the work. They also kept our house clean during the process, which was awesome.

 + -1 moreUpon entering the house, they removed their shoes. They covered the floors and carpets with drop cloths, as they checked out the system. They then proceeded to clean the duct works. It took about two hours. We looked at one return with a small area cleaned to compare with an uncleaned area. The difference was very notable. They did suggest that we run our furnace fan most of the time to circulate the air and dust particles through the furnaces filters.
Description of Work: They arrived on time and cleaned the duct work in the house.

This was confirmed by the technicians who arrived promptly at 9am to clean the ducts. The were very courteous and professional and the actual cost cam in lower than the estimate.  + -1 moreI was very happy with Oregon Ducts. They were really good. They showed me a few dirty ducts and showed me, with the help of a mirror, how their equipment cleaned the duct. I could see through the mirror how dirty it was and how the equipment cleaned it all up. They were very professional. Their estimate was right on target.

 + -1 moreI called and got an estimate, which seemed high to me. Then I got another estimate that was $200 less. Guess which one I used. Maybe they do a lot more for that extra $200 but the company I ended up using did a very good job and I was glad I got to keep the extra bucks!

 + -1 moreThe company owner, Steve Sellers, came out to clean our oil furnace. He was recommended to us by our furnace repairman. I was at work, but my husband told me Steve did an excellent job of cleaning our filthy furnace, the heat exchange and pipes. I could see the results. He was very thorough, very polite and helpful and willingly answered to the best of his ability my husband's questions. He stayed to make sure everything was working correctly before he left. I have a sensitive nose and there was no sooty smell left behind - everything was clean. We had never been told that we had to have the furnace cleaned out periodically, so this one was very filthy. The job Steve did was worth every penny and is helping to get this furnace that is living on borrowed time working for a little while longer so we don't have to make a snap decision while we try to decide to replace it with another oil furnace or convert to gas. He also called the next day to make sure everything was okay.
Description of Work: Vacuumed out the entire furnace, the heat exchanger, the main pipe and the chimney.

 + -1 moreI called and had an appointment scheduled after a call back. They were booked 3 weeks out (but I have only one day of the week free and this is the busy time). I received a letter in the mail, confirming the booking, the time, with an hour window of arrival, and also some details on how to prep for the arrival (clearing certain areas). Steve and Steve showed up when promised, went through to locate the ducts, did the job, and left. They were pleasant, prompt and turned on my furnace to be sure it worked. And I received an Angie's list discount.

Called on Thursday and got them to come out on Monday, the day before the new AC unit went in. $240 base price for duct cleaning and $15 per vent in house. They were on time (9am) and done in about 2 hours. Took additional time to talk to me about filter maintenance and controlling allergens. I would recommend and use them again.
