 + -1 moreThe guys (Ryan, Jason and Jesse) were fantastic and made what could have been a highly stressful day into something which, while still not without its moments, we can look back on as an excellent start to enjoying our new home. They worked at a tremendous speed and with great care, but what was most impressive of all was that they took all the unforeseen problems in their stride and with good humor. I will happily recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: A very tough days moving included first, emptying a two bedroom west side apartment down 5 flights of stairs (beds, fridge, clothes, sofa, chairs etc) and then shifting 40 large boxes from an east side basement to our new home and installing everything over four floors in one day.

They did charge me for shrink wrapping some furnishings which hadn't been mentioned in the estimate, and they didn't ask me if I wanted it at the time. It was a relatively small amount, but it should have been disclosed.
Description of Work: They moved a 1000 sq. ft. house including all furnishings and boxes.

 + -1 moreThey were great. We had 4 guys and two trucks. They were very fast and efficient and very nice. They were also exactly on time. I would recommend to anyone. We had so much to move, and they did it all within 6 hours. That includes an hour of drive time between locations.
Description of Work: They moved an 1840 sq. foot home into a 2700 sq. foot home. We had extra furniture in the garage. We had huge wardrobes and lots of big furniture.

 + -1 moreThey were very efficient and organized, and they even arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule. They first made a run-through to see what needed to be moved and then handled everything with care. They were friendly and professional, had a good sense of humor and were patient with our large group of family helpers. I was happy to see that there was no damage to anything. There was no wasted time, and we felt that our money was well spent.
Description of Work: Two men moved all our heavy furniture and appliances and the heaviest boxes from NE Portland to North Plains.

 + -1 moreThey were very accommodating, and when I asked to be put on a waiting list for an earlier date, they actually squeezed me in at the end of another job and accomplished the whole thing from the Woodstock area to the King City area within the two hour minimum billing. The price was only $2 an hour more for the weekend vs during the week.
Description of Work: Moved a whole bunch of boxes and odds and ends -- the dregs of what was left after the big move of furniture the week before.

 + -1 moreReally great - fast, inexpensive, and they took great care in moving everything around. The subordinate guy whined a lot to the lead guy, but the lead guy had him in check. The put down plastic tape over the new carpets and left everything spotless. They even moved a few heavier items not associated with the actual move that I had around the house that my back surgery prevented me from lifting myself. I will call them for the next move without thinking twice.

 + -1 moreThese guys are amazing - prompt, friendly, and professional. They charge by the hour and literally ran at times. They wrapped everything carefully and emptied the apartment even of smaller things that I had intended to not bother them with. They did an excellent job. Also, I called them last-minute on a Friday, and they were able to move me on Sunday! We gave them a tip as thanks for a job well done!
Description of Work: They moved large, heavy pieces of furniture from an apartment to a townhouse with stairs involved at both places.

We needed them to just move the big stuff, but they were able to use a lot of the smaller stuff as filler, w/o extra cost. They took the steps necessary to keep our stuff and houses safe.

 + -1 moreVery professional, quick, and well worth the price. Movers (Mychal and Mike) were on time, polite, strong, and very good at what they did. The only issue I had was that the company didn't respond to an initial email asking for a quote -- but a call was immediately returned, so no big deal.
Description of Work: Moved from a one-bedroom in the Lloyd Center district into a second-floor two-bedroom near Ladd's Addition. Movers used a 15 foot truck and packed a huge amount of boxes, plus a queen bed, heavy treadmill, and typical chairs, sofas, etc. They arrived on time and were courteous, quick, and effective -- it took a total of three hours to completely move out, transport, and move in! They treated my stuff very well, and laid down protective mats, wrapped furniture in protective plastic, wrapped my flat-screen TV in pads, etc. Everything made the move in perfect condition!

Best customer service group I've meet in the 8 months I have been in Portland!!!! Did I mention that their efficiency as a team did everything needed 3 hours before estimated dead-line? SO I also saved money!! Kudo's to Brian, Jesse, and John - The Moving Men of Portland.
Description of Work: 3 movers showed up in a 24ft truck and moved my 3 bedroom home out of storage into our new home. They loaded up, hauled, unloaded, performed difficult logistical "design" requirements; layed tape throughout house to protect my clean carpet, pulled all furniture out of paper wrapping; and hauled paper trash and cardboard away.
