The doors look great. The work was completed as promised, within the original estimate and with a minimum of mess. I've used Weinmann in the past for other work and would definitely use them in the future.

Timely response to my phone call and came to give an estimate. Recommended a company to scrape the house since it had so many coats of paint on it. Recommended replacing a great deal of the siding which was damaged on the south side. Painters came on time and worked very hard. Head painter gave me his card and cell phone number. I was given a contract which stated what would be done. At the end of the work I was given an evaluation sheet, and did a walk around with the painter to be sure everything was done as I wanted. I found something later that had been forgotten and they came back and did that(a storm window that had been set aside). Part of their plan is that they will come back and do touch up work if you notice something after they are gone. Office person, Katie, is wonderful. As painters did their job, they asked me how I liked it...very accommodating to changes.

I called Weinmann Paint company last week to set up an appointment to get an estimate on getting my kitchen painted. The appointment was set up, I guess with the owner or receptionist that answered the phone. The day of the appointment I waited and waited for the estimator to come, but he never showed up or called. I called the company the same day, but got no response. I called the company four days later, since I did not hear from them, to find out why they had not called me to let me know why no one showed up. The receptionist or owner said that she did not know why he did not show up and that something was wrong with the answering machine. She became very rude and defensive and then I hung up.

Weinmann offered a two-year warranty on their work when I had my house painted a year ago. I sent in the "Touch Up Request Form" on July 25, 2006. The form states, "Allow us at least two weeks to schedule a time to return to your property. We will contact you to schedule a convenient time to meet with you." After a month with no call from them, I called and was told that this was their busy time of year. She did apologize for not calling me, but did not make any arrangements or appointment because they were too busy. What good is a warranty if the company is too busy to honor it?

The initial quote was very difficult to obtain partly because the original estimator left the company between the time he looked at our house and the original quote was presented. The owner then stepped in and got us a quote after several phone calls and broken time commitments. The crew was prompt and timely, but didn't always communicate well as several items were broken during the project and not discovered until after the final walk through. Overall the paint job was okay, but not as clean as the company presented. Plants, shrubs, decks. driveway, steps, and light fixtures were left with numerous paint spotches. This was one of the highest quotes we received and we accepted it because we thought they would do an exceptional job.

Estimator was prompt, professional and friendly. Ditto for the crew. We were in a hurry and everyone involved worked hard to accommodate our schedule in spite of weather complications. We knew they would be pricey but wanted it done right, and we weren't disappointed.

Cannot comment on on quality or responsiveness, but due to magnitude of price difference, probably would not call them again.

EVERYONE FROM WEINMANN WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL FROM OUR FIRST MEETING WITH CHUCK, WHO PERFORMED THE ESTIMATE, TO THE CREW THAT ACTUALLY DID THE PAINTING. WE USED THEIR COLOR CONSULTANT TO HELP US GET THE LOOK WE WERE GOING FOR, AND IT HELPED. SHE WAS ABLE TO HONE IN VERY QUICKLY ON WHAT WE WERE TRYING TO ACHIEVE AND SHE GOT US THE PERFECT COLORS. THE CREW WERE PAINSTAKING IN THEIR PREP WORK; TAKING GREAT CARE TO PROTECT PLANTS AND OUTDOOR FURNISHINGS DESPITE MANY OF THE AREAS AROUND OUR HOUSE BEING DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE. ONCE THE WORK STARTED THEY WORKED EVERY DAY (FOR A FULL DAY) UNTIL THE JOB WAS DONE WHICH WAS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED (MANY OF OUR NEIGHBORS PAINTERS DRUG OUT THEIR JOBS OVER SEVERAL WEEKS). GRADE A SERVICE. WE WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO THOSE WE KNOW WHO WANT THE BEST, WHICH I MYSELF AM GLAD TO PAY A PREMIUM FOR.

THE ESTIMATOR WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND ESTIMATED THAT THE JOB WOULD TAKE 3 VISITS (PREP, UNDERCOAT, FINISH COAT) THAT WOULD PROBABLY OCCUR OVER 3 DAYS. THE 3 MAN CREW ARRIVED ON THE FIRST DAY, WORKED FOR 2 HOURS, THEN TOOK A ONE HOUR LUNCH BREAK, THEN CLEANED UP. TOTAL WORK TIME 2.5 TO 3 HOURS. MY INITIAL INSPECTION OF THE WORK DID NOT TURN UP ANYTHING UNUSUAL. A MORE THOROUGH INSPECTION SHOWED THAT THE CREW SKIPPED SEVERAL AREAS. WHEN I COMPLAINED TO THE COMPANY THAT WORK WAS MISSED AND THAT THE ESTIMATE WAS WAY OFF, I WAS GIVEN A COUPON FOR A SMALL DISCOUNT ON FUTURE WORK AND TOLD THE CREW WOULD RETURN TO FIX THE SKIPPED AREAS IN THE SPRING (5 MONTHS LATER).

THE CREW DID NOT FOLLOW THE CONTRACT, NOR DID THEY FOLLOW THE 20-POINT INSPECTION SERVICE, INITIALLY PROVIDED TO ME. THEY PAINTED WHILE THE HOUSE WAS WET, RESULTING IN BUBBLING PAINT. LOOSE DEBRIS WAS PAINTED ONTO THE HOUSE, INCLUDE WADS OF MASKING TAPE. THE CREW LEFT A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF TRASH ON THE PROPERTY. THERE APPEARED TO BE NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN MANAGEMENT AND THE CREW. THE CREW WAS NOT EVEN TOLD WHAT COLORS I HAD CHOSEN. UNEVEN PAINT, BODY COLOR ON THE TRIM; TRIM COLOR ON THE BODY. A DOWNSPOUT WAS SMASHED AND I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE REPLACED, BUT TWO MONTHS LATER NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. PLANTS, LAWN, SIDEWALKS AND BARKDUST WERE SPRAYED AND SPLASHED WITH PAINT. AGAINST MY EXPRESSED WISHES, THE CREW WASHED BRUSHED AND DUMPED PAINT ON MY LAWN. PLANTS WERE BROKEN, AND IN SOME CASES, DESTROYED. OVER HALF OF SOME PLANTS WERE BROKEN OFF. WINDOWS WERE PAINTED SHUT. PAINT CHIPS LEFT ON THE GROUND. TOO MUCH PAINT WAS PURCHASED, SO NOW I HAVE FOUR FIVE-GALLON CONTAINERS TO STORE.
