Streamline Dwellings

Description of Work: Did home energy audit with streamline (Mike) . Mike helped us determine how best to make home improvements within CEWO and outside CEWO program to maximize savings. For the non-CEWO work Mike's team and subs did great job. Mike was in constant communication with us. Timeliness and Professionalism was great. He filled out all energy trust rebate forms for us, so all we had to do was sign.For the CEWO work, again more great work. We had a mishap where his team tripped the circuit with fridge. Mike detected problem and helped clean fridge and gave us some money to restock.

Description of Work: Complete weatherization of our home. Installed weatherstripping , air sealed all plumbing and electrical penetrations, air sealed all floor supply registers, air sealed exhaust fans, upstairs knee wall. blower door testing. Total floor insulation, total weatherstripping, complete duct sealing.

Description of Work: They sealed air spaces between the steel plate between the construction and the foundation. In between each place they put in blocks of foam to keep the outside air from moving in. They made removable foam blocks for my fireplace opening so I can put the foam block in when I'm not using my fireplace to keep the air coming down the chimney.

Description of Work: Mike did a walkthrough for free and recommended services from there -- some of those I did myself, and some I paid him to do. He replaced weatherstripping, adding 2" foam board insulation in various places, sealed cracks and gaps with foam, sealed my attic hatch, and did some other things that I can't remember right now. I installed pulley seals on his recommendation, and did some other little things.

Description of Work: I had had a walk-through energy audit performed by another company and they recommended Streamline Dwellings as company to do the work they were not equipped to do. I was interested in taking advantage of rebates offered by the Energy Trust of Oregon. Mike Lillisand did the assessment of my 1920's house to determine where there were air leakages. He was quite knowledgeable and explained every aspect of the process in a way that a layperson could understand. I was curious about his background since I have a background in sustainable business. I found out that Mike is a certified Sustainable Building Advisor and a Building Performance Institute Professional. He told me these certifications were obtained after he finished college. Mike was also very knowledgeable about the rebates offered so that I could maximize my benefits while making my house more energy efficient. Services he performed included: blower door testing, air sealing, duct sealing, and installing new support for some insulation in my crawl space. Each of these categories is comprised of several different jobs that probably vary depending on the particular house. One thing I really appreciated was that Mike was open to my doing some of the work myself to save money. I ended up not doing it (not as handy as I thought I was:), but I really appreciate someone who is sensitive to your budget and does not try to get you to buy work that is not necessary. Mike struck me an honest, knowledgeable, respectful, and flexible individual.
