I am really glad I hired this company. I received estimates from three companies, and Specialty Heating and Cooling's bid was in the middle. But after researching all of the offers carefully, I decided on Specialty Heating and Cooling because of their reputation, their record of standing behind their work if a problem occurred after installation, the type of technicians they employ to do the work, and what was covered in the contract I signed. The initial meeting was with Randy, and he was an immediate positive representative for the company. He was patient in answering my 100 questions, and he was very honest about the repair/replacement I needed to do now, as opposed to what could wait. I was expecting to have to do more than I needed, and I'm grateful for Randy's honesty and expertise in helping me choose the right air conditioner for the space next to my house and for the comfort inside my home. The four technicians who actually did the installation - Jake & Adam - and the duct cleaning, etc., - Matt and Matt - were all very knowledgeable and professional, careful of my home, and quick to answer any questions I had. I really felt comfortable having them in my home. When it is time to put the furnace unit in, I want Specialty Heating and Cooling to do the work.

My first contact with the company was excellent. I was impressed their professionalism. Unfortunately now that the system, a heat pump is installed I'm not happy with it. It seems antiquated. I used to be able to operate my previous window air conditioning unit with my phone. The new system has a really poor remote that seems like it was probably designed 10 or 15 years ago. Also, their work DID NOT PASS INSPECTION!!! The best thing I can say is that the new unit is quiet --- unfortunately it is too outdated to be desirable.

I had a very good experience with everyone at Specialty Heating and Cooling. They gave us a straight forward estimate to replace my old furnace and add an A/C unit. They were able to run a gas line to my kitchen for the range that was being replaced. It was a very clean install. Their crew did a very good job cleaning up. Very good customer service. I really enjoyed working with them.

Absolutely top notch customer service from Nic at Specialty. By far one of the most professional contractors I have ever worked with. Punctual, polite, prepared, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend.

Kirk is the upoltimate professional. Clearly explains his diagnosis and actions. He added coolant for the heat pump.

Our furnace had not been service for four years and was making some unusual noises. Matt and Phoenix arrived on time and performed a thorough inspection and cleaning, plus needed adjustments. They patiently answered all my questions. Specialty Heating & Cooling was the company that install the furnace in 2010 and also service both units four years ago. I can not say enough positive things about my service experience. They will be the company I call when the need arises.

Yesterday Jason, senior technician, came in response to my heat pump not working...another technician had come the day before but was unable to diagnose the problem...was impressed with the rapid response of the office of same day appointments...Jason was excellent ion his problem solving skills and methodical checking each part of the system, including the crawl space where recent work had been done, finding insulation was missing from heat pump vents....he also went above the call of duty, finding other problems which had to do with the previous company's repairs which were adding to my heating bill and took steps to remedy them...he even spoke with the company on the phone at my request and told them the problems...I felt Jason was my advocate...he is professional, friendly, and very effective...I would not hesitate to call him or Specialty Heating again....

Professional experience. No major issues.

From the first person I talked with on the initial phone call through the whole process of evaluation and install, the staff was professional and efficient. Ryan Wills took time to evaluate the proper installation options and answered all of my questions. The installation offered special challenges so would require two days to complete. Andrew and his team worked hard and efficiently to make sure the heat was working at the end of the first day so we would be comfortable for what was going to be the coldest night of he winter. The remainder of the work was completed by noon of the next day. The system is working very well. It’s so quiet! Ryan has checked back to answer questions and I feel confident in the continued availability of quality service partners in the future.

Everything was installed and it was discovered our unit needed another intake vent. So we are in the process of getting everything brought up to the right quality this week. But I have to say I have been so impressed so far. Things like this are expensive, so you really want them done right. From the moment I called I was treated with respect and was given some good information. When the salesman came he was great and no sales pressure was involved so we actually felt very comfortable signing up right away. I don't do well with high pressure sales and tend to say no right away. The 3 gentlemen that came to put in the unit and all that goes with that, were super at communicating and worked diligently the whole time, asking me questions as necessary. At the end it was found our air intake was a bit too small so we are waiting for them to come back with an additional estimate to make our a/c and heat work at their best potential. Will post how all that goes! But so far, so good! Would definitely recommend Speciality! My daughter's family used them and a close family friend too had used them all with good report. Will post a pic next time we are up in the attic.

This is one of the few reviews that I have ever written, yet important I take the time to share: The mark of a great company and service is really most evident when something didn't go quite the way planned. Without all the details, I'll simply say....this is the most professional customer service oriented company I have worked with period. From the start of the work, Jacob and Justin were superb. Nic our sales rep was prompt on follow-up on an issue. Very true to what I believe is their motto "we are not comfortable until you are comfortable" the owner Cory directly came out to talk with both my husband Charlie and I. He was 100% commited to having everything work. With much effort, time and resources on behalf of Specialty Heating, including having electricians from Bear Electric return for another component install (Specialty Heating hires top professionals too), Specialy Heating delivered 100%. The follow up was exceptional as well to show us again the features of operating our system effectively and was done by one of their best, Rob I believe, my apologies if I miss your name :) and sorry if I miss any names of the other employees at the start and of course thru the whole process. Jacobwas the lead and did an outstanding of coordinating and showing us all the details. They took a challenge and made it MAGIC! Kudos and many thanks and much gratitude. great done in very good time and quality

I hired this company through a Home Depot service contract. Ryan was very professional on the phone and in person when providing estimates for the installation of the units. The cost for the work was about 10% higher than my other estimates. However, the quality of the work done and the professionalism of the crew (Greg, Matt, Josh, and others) should be factored in the consideration. I had several phone conversations and email communications with Ryan prior to the work and he was always very detail oriented, thorough, and thoughtful in answering questions. On the day of installation, Ryan came by to check on the progress. The installation team worked diligently and finished all the work in one day. It is commendable that this company truly has a good business model in assuring that the customers are making the informed decisions. I would recommend them highly without reservations.

Our furnace had not been working well for a couple of years. We had work done in the past by another company who replaced the igniter switch or something ... it worked for a while then not. The techs at Specialty H & C went the extra step to find out that there was an animals nest in the flue behind the pressure switches. They cleaned it out and now all is working good. Thank you all. Figuring out how this fell into the Angies list purchase was a little tricky. Specialty H&C was very helpful, friendly and professional the whole time. Thank you so much. We will certainly use them again.

It took about three weeks to get it all done. One full day for the furnace and the electrician. Another full day for the air conditioning unit outside, and one full day for the vent cleaning. I am waiting now for the county inspector. So four full days over a period of a month. I was pleased by the manners and professionalism of everyone that worked on my project. No foul language and they were respectful of my home (wore booties inside) and cleaned up after themselves. The unit is a carrier and is such an improvement over the furnace it replaced. Not only is it more efficient but i no longer have those cold spots that never seemed to get warm in the winter. Overall i was very pleased with their service and recommend Specialty Heating if you are considering an upgrade. It was expensive. But because the company is local and the people are so customer oriented, i know they will back up their work.

Prepaid 2 visit annual service contract. Could not arrange a visit last spring, first time having this problem, and finally got them out in September. In Sept, all they did was check the AC's. A week later, it got cold and neither of our two furnaces would start. Turns out they hadn't even bothered to test them to even turn them on . . . in September! Unbelievable, asked if they had new owners, turns out that is the case and obviously they don't have enough crew and enough good sense to service their customers. Purchased new furnaces elsewhere. Note that this is not the same Specialty Heating as past decades.

Excellent. From the first meeting with Randy Beers until the completion of the project, Specialty lived up to our expectations. The installers were efficient and professional as they completed the job on time.

We have a contract with them. They come out every quarter to check out things and make sure everything's the way it should be. It's a good deal.

I just made an appointment for the fall appointment. I have them come out twice a year. I have it done twice a year and it's a package deal. I pay in the spring then I don't have to pay again. I've been using him now, he came out the first time in 2015 and I'm still using him. And I don't know anything bad and I've never heard anything bad about him since I got him off your list.

They were great. I have no problems with them and would recommend them to anybody. I'd tell a friend to call them and get an estimate. They get nothing but good marks from me.

They've done an excellent job. Everytime we call them with an issue, they handle it very well. If you take away all of the work that they did, it was probably $15,000. Overall they installed, replaced, and repaired heat pumps. They did just fine, the price was fair. We agreed on the price, paid on it, and it was right. The quality was very good.

Everything went great. It took awhile to get an appointment to look at the unit and install was 3 weeks out but with the heat of this summer and how busy they were it was expected. They were very responsive and honest. They brought the duct work going in and out of the furnace up to code and we now have a great new AC and Furnace. Their installers were very knowledgeable and spent some time talking with us on how to maintain the units ourselves between tune ups.

Provided the services as expected, price was given up front. Quote for additional repairs I didnt want at this time, but useful for future option.
