Description of Work: Russell Chimney completed cleaning and repair of chimney outside and to fireplace brick inside. They were extremely professional, completed the job in a time frame acceptable to me. The weather was an inhibiting factor however they kept me informed about any delays.

Description of Work: They inspected our wood burning fireplace and told us that it could not be used due to the small size of the firebox and the way it was built. We now know why the house that we recently purchased had a chimney fire in the past that the previous owners could not explain. We used American Chimney and Masonry before Russell and they told us everything would be fine if we spent $5,000 on a chimney liner. Russell Chimney were experts on chimneys and we rated American Chimney and Masonry an F. Russell also suggested a gas fireplace even though they didn't perform the installation work. They are as good as we have ever seen.

Description of Work: We needed some repairs on our chimney, so after, estimates and consultation we agreed on a new chimney cap, and repairs to mortar. They made good on all promises, even a rematch on mortar that was too dark at first.

Description of Work: Russell Chimney cleaned the furnace chimney and power vacuumed the furnace itself, together with the flue. They were exactly on time, finished the work quickly and thoroughly, cleaned up after themselves, and were in every respect exemplary. I've used them for years for both furnace and fireplace cleaning. A local, family-owned company, they're topnotch.

Description of Work: Dan spent several hours examining the two chimneys on a fourplex to give us an idea of what's really going on. the previous two consultants just wanted to rebuild the chimneys for tens of thousands of dollars. Russell Chimney's diagnosis and solution will cost only $2000.
