Everything went great. It took a month but high quality work takes time. When the project was completed and there were certain things we were not happy with, our concerns were immediately addressed.
Description of Work: We had a full bathroom remodel. This included gutting everything, adjusting the plumbing, wiring, and the layout of certain walls/closets.

We are thrilled with our new bathroom! Peter and his entire team were professional and helpful throughout our project. The daily email communication and pictures from Peter showing the progress was so appreciated by us as we were investing significantly into this project. The entire team made the remodel process as smooth as possible helping us with design choices for all aspects of the project including cabinets, fixtures, paint colors, etc. Peter provided a detailed project timeline for our five week remodel project, and he stuck to it to complete the project on time. Pacific Northwest Cabinetry is a family-oriented business, and we feel lucky that they were able to do our project. We give them our highest possible recommendation.

We were completely satisfied with this warranty repair.
Description of Work: Portion of hinge on kitchen cabinet broke after about seven years. Pacific NW Cabinetry responded promptly to our warranty request. Mike the Service Tech arrived in a timely manner and replaced the broken hinge. He also checked all the other cabinet doors and re-aligning a couple without our asking. Mike knew his trade, did a good job and was polite and professional. Thank you, Stan

Excellent in every way. Three years after our kitchen remodel, we had a leak under the sink. Pacific NW Cabinetry came out and replaced the cabinet floor at no charge, even though they were in no way responsible for the leak. Can't say enough about their quality, service and professionalism. Highly recommend!

I cannot rave enough about our experience with Pacific Northwest Cabinetry. Julie helped us design our dream kitchen, all the while ensuring we stayed on budget. Peter and his crew were extremely friendly, prompt, reliable and kept us in the loop during the entire process. They were more than accommodating when we had to push schedule due to other contractors not staying on schedule. The quality of work is unbeatable, they know what they are doing and do it quickly, but not at the expense of quality. When we ran into issues along the way, they quickly found solutions at no charge to us! I cannot stress enough what an excellent experience we had. It is evident that Peter cares about his employees, company and all of his clients. Having just worked with numerous contractors during this kitchen remodel I can say without doubt this type of company is not easy to come by. You will not regret using Pacific Northwest Cabinetry!!!

fter interviewing and working with 4-5- other cabinet companies when we remodeled our kitchen 2 1/2 years ago, we chose PNC to do the work based on their professionalism, the quality and beauty of their work product and their responsiveness overall. Once the job started, we knew that we had make the right decision. And when one of the drawers broke recently, it just reiterated how extremely pleased we are that we walked into PCN's showroom originally. Less than 24 hours after we called for assistance, Aaron from PNC had already completed the repairs at no charge. He was excellent ; very capable, professional, and thorough. We really appreciate the responsiveness. We've already recommended PNC to a number of friends who have admired the beautiful, high quality cabinetry in our kitchen.

Is it possible to give 6 stars? More? We've been home owners for 50 years with lots of projects along the way, but the kitchen remodel done by Pacific Northwest Cabinetry was exceptional. Totally on time, including all sub-contractors; under budget; highest quality work; and excellent materials. And now, five years later, Peter Schraner came to our house late in a working day to help us cope with a problem with our refrigerator (which we, not he, selected). Unbelievable.

I really can't say enough good things about this company. The entire process was smooth and seamless. Everyone on the team was great with communication and updates as well as being incredibly nice. Ivy handled our initial inquiry and went on to design the layout in our very challenging small space in a 100 year old home. She maximized the space as well as making it beautiful. Peter the owner went above and beyond with the building and installation of the cabinets. The onsite team was awesome as well. They kept right to their timeline and worked well with the other vendors. excellent experience all around and we love our new kitchen.

Pacific Northwest Cabinetry was a one-stop shop for all of the work associated with our kitchen remodel. From demolition to drywall, electrical plumbing and, of course, cabinets, the job was run by one contractor. There was no hassle chasing down subcontractors. They laid out a six-week schedule and met it, finishing right on time. The quality of their work is excellent. Even the improvisations and small changes that were inevitable in our 102-year-old house were done cheerfully and with wonderful craftsmanship. Workers are friendly and easy to have in our home. We missed them when the job was completed. Design services were very helpful and turned out to be essential, even for a couple of retired architects. Their cost may be on thepricey side, but you get what you pay for. We felt that we got good value for our money. I recommend Pacific Northwest Cabinets to anyone needing their services.

Peter and his team were all exceptional! They are extremely creative, organized, honest, hardworking, We looked to hire this company for their custom cabinetry work. The cabinets and wainscoting are top quality and beautiful. Every detail from the planning , demolition to the final cleaning was beyond our expectations. Peter and his team coordinate it all from designing, sheet rock, new wood flooring, HVAC work, electrical, plumbing, insulation, painting, Tile and granite work. They are truly amazing and will be the only company we hire in the future.

We recently had Pacific NW Cabinetry install custom cabinets in our kitchen. From the design process to installation they performed above and beyond our expectations. We have had many contractors do work at our home but none as professional, knowledgeable and caring as PNWC. The project started with outstanding work by the designer (Ivy Crouse). After listening to our want list and posing many questions, she went back and developed a CAD layout the was 100% on target. She even helped us in the selection of all the items that went into the design. PNWC worked with us to develop the start date and a predicted completion date. Everything went smoothly on the schedule that was developed. The work force employed by PNWC was faultless in their performance. The only subs they utilized were the tile setters, the electricians and the plumbers. When those trades were on site one of the PNWC employees was here to supervise. This is the 2nd project for which we have utilized PNWC. The first was a major kitchen remodel. As with that project, this one was accomplished on schedule and ON BUDGET If you want it done professionally, select Pacific Northwest Cabinetry.

PNW cabinetry is truly committed to extraordinary customer service. They just remodeled our kitchen and dining room, including knocking down a load-bearing wall. Peter (the owner) and his crew were respectful, worked hard, and the quality is exceptional. Peter provided a schedule and they stuck to it throughout, even running ahead of schedule at times. Ivy, our designer (also with PNWC) helped us through all the choices, and made it easy. They were constantly accessible, and with any concerns we had, they responded immediately & to our satisfaction. Now our kitchen is our favorite place in the house, and we couldn't be happier. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about your Big Deal purchase and experience with us from 2011. We understand that as an Angie’s List member, you were seeing a persistent “pop-up” upon login to your account (several years after your purchase) and the only way to make it stop was to write a review! We have requested that Angie’s List put a time limit on the pop-up that is reasonable (within 6 months of purchase for example). But, since the pop-ups continue, years after purchase, we appreciate clients like you that take time to write a review based on accurate information, not based on frustration with a persistent pop-up. Thank you again for taking your time to share your experience with others. We all appreciate it and should you ever decide to move forward with remodeling, we will be here to help.

I found Pacific Northwest Cabinetry on Angie's List and took advantage of a $99 offer for a kitchen design consultation. Peter Schraner, owner, and Crystal Kennedy, designer, came to my house for that initial meeting. My house has a narrow galley-type kitchen that had been remodeled (before I bought it) in the cheapest way possible and in a manner completely out of character with the rest of the house. I told Peter and Crystal that I wanted a kitchen that would fit with the era of the house--a 1922 Dutch Colonial. Crystal asked lots of questions and took notes while Peter was busy taking careful measurements. I mention the measurements because Peter was the only contractor I talked to who told me that the kitchen could not be widened--the stairs to the second floor were in the way (it turned out he was absolutely correct about that!). At the time he even offered to refund my $99 when it was obvious I was disappointed that I was stuck with my narrow kitchen. I declined the offer because as a result of this meeting, I was already impressed with this company and wanted to see their design and bid--it was clear that this team is knowledgeable and very experienced in remodeling older homes. I cannot say enough good things about the design Crystal produced. It was by far the best design I got and exactly what I had hoped for--beautiful, functional, and entirely in keeping with the rest of the house (I had bought a few books on traditional/classic kitchens, and Crystal's design incorporated several of the features I saw there, e.g., glass cabinets, built-in hutch, subway tile, furniture feet at the bottom of the cabinetry). Peter's bid for the job was more expensive than most of the other bids I received, but I was prepared for that by reading the reviews on Angie's List. What you get in return is a project that involves quality workmanship from start to finish and is completed on time and on budget with nary a hitch. If Peter says your project will take 8-10 weeks, then your project will take 8-10 weeks. This was particularly important in my case because as part of the job I had the hardwood floors refinished in the entire house. As a result, we had to move out completely from the first and second floors for a period of time, so I welcomed Peter's tight schedule since I was having to coordinate both the move-out and move-back-in with the moving company. Peter's initial bid did not include a few things that were in the bids of other contractors--insulation in the kitchen and mudroom, replacement of cast iron pipe from upstairs bath (the kitchen was going to be gutted from floor to ceiling so the drain would be easily accessible), replacement of molding so that all doorways in the kitchen would coordinate. But he agreed to add these items since all were good ideas. During the whole time I was undergoing the lengthy process of deciding on a general contractor for my project, I peppered Peter and Crystal with many emails asking lots of questions, and they unfailingly answered them all in good time and with the detail I needed. At the start of the project Peter provided me with a schedule that indicated what was going to be done each day of the remodel. The remarkable thing is that the schedule was followed to the letter; the only deviation occurred when inspectors didn't show up, something over which Peter had no control. Peter was even able to accommodate last-minute additions to the project that I ended up wanting, including extensive painting throughout the house, as well as electrical work upstairs and in the basement that had nothing to do with the kitchen remodel. Yet somehow everything magically stayed on the original schedule--it is simply stunning how Peter manages to do that. The remodeling process itself went extraordinarily smoothly. Crystal, the designer, provided a lot of support for decisions I had to make along the way, including selection of the countertop, tile backsplash color, sink and faucet, light fixture in the mud room, and paint color, not just in the kitchen but throughout the house. All of the craftsmen Peter brought into my home were top-notch. And, in particular, I cannot say enough good things about the cabinetmakers in Peter's shop--Josh, Aaron, and Mike. The cabinets they built and installed for me (full overlay cabinets in kitchen and mud room, flush inset cabinets in the dining room) are absolutely gorgeous, with superb quality workmanship. I should also mention that the level of service throughout the project was extraordinary, even after the project was over and I'd paid my final bill. As just one example, I accidentally managed to put a ding in my new countertop shortly after moving back in. I emailed Peter about my mishap, and soon the countertop guy was back at my house fixing it, at no cost to me. I now have a beautiful new kitchen that is timeless and elegant, as well as new built-ins with lighted glass shelves in the dining room, newly-refinished hardwood floors throughout the house, and fresh paint nearly everywhere. My house has been transformed! I've had two friends comment independently that the kitchen looks like it has always been there--exactly what I was aiming for. In sum, I am so glad I decided to work with Pacific Northwest Cabinetry on this project. It was worth everything I paid for it and I could not be happier.
Description of Work: Completely remodeled kitchen and adjoining mudroom. Built and installed new custom cabinetry in both rooms, installed new appliances in kitchen, and served as general contractor for new insulation, drywall, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, tile backsplash, countertops, and oak flooring in both rooms. Built and installed new built-in lighted cabinets in dining room. Also served as general contractor for refinishing hardwood floors, and painting walls, ceilings, and baseboards/picture molding in entire house.

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience, but feel you have us confused with another bid you received. The price we quoted you in 2011 was $53,850 for an entire kitchen remodel down to the studs. We also provided a quote for cabinets and slab granite countertops only for $20,972 or $23,850, depending upon selected options. Our designers and craftsmen do excellent work and our prices reflect that. I am not sure where you pulled the $80K figure, but it was not from our company. Best wishes.

Peter wrote out a contract with a timeline. They started on time and ended on time, sticking to the timeline, even though we added in the ceiling work for the two extra stories of the house. Ivy, the designer, came up with a design that captured what we asked for. It was great to see what it may look like before we even started the project. That gave us confidence to move forward with our decisions. Peter or Ivy were there every day on site to check in. We felt they were devoted to the process.Peter sent us photos every day, showing us the work that had been done. we were on vacation at the start, so having those photos was very important to our state of mind at the time. The later photos were good to have, as my husband wasn't always in town and he was able to see it from afar, as well. When we had questions they were answered timely and politely. The crew was careful to protect our house and the work as they went. They were polite and courteous throughout the process as well. Everything came out looking great, it is high quality and we are very pleased with the final outcome.

The service went fine. They did exactly what the deal stated. I was pleased with the design they came up with but we decided to not go through with the project. We met with 2 people regarding the design and then went to their facility for the presentation of the design. The designers were courteous, professional and experience. At their facility they had samples of their products available. I did not have any problem contacting the company or scheduling the service.

Since the pop-ups continue, we appreciate clients like you that write the review based on accurate information, not based on frustration with a pop-up. Thank you again for taking your time to share your experience with others. We all appreciate it.

They did a really nice job and were very nice people. They were very helpful and the service was great. However, their price was a bit higher than we wanted, so we used someone else. Nevertheless, it was a helpful experience and we learned a lot.
Description of Work: We bought a Big Deal from them for a custom kitchen design.

I purchased this service 2 years ago. I have now received a call asking me to review this company. I don't know whether that is Angie's List calling or this company but if I haven't written a reveiw in 2 years, chances I don't think my review is relavant. They came to the house, measured for everything in my kitchen then they left. As I recall I received a call days later to come over to their office to review their bid. I went to their very attractive office/showroom and went over the bid. Unfortunately, it was way, way over my budget and simply not something I wanted to move forward with.
Description of Work: The company provided a drawing of an updated kitchen

Response from Pacific Northwest Cabinetry & Remodeling
Dear Angie’s List member, We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to post your comment regarding the Angie’s list solicitation. Please know that we agree with you 100% and have taken no part in the solicitation. We have asked Angie’s List to stop the phone and pop-up solicitations for people like you who browsed or purchased years ago. We agree that you would have posted a review in a relevant time frame if you were compelled to do so. Many feel that the only way to stop the solicitation is post a review for a service they vaguely remember and they are agitated by it. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope that Angie’s List will revise their practice to not continue solicit feedback years after a purchase.

We are very pleased. We were given several ideas including one that we plan to utilize for our remodel. They gave us three ideas, one minimal, one slightly more involved and one complete remodel. The ideas they provided were much better than anything I came up with on my own.
Description of Work: Provided several design ideas for remodeling our kitchen.
