Maid To Shine Cleaning LLC

I chose Maid To Shine based on the great Angies List reviews and they did not disappoint. My initial interaction with Mindy was pleasant and she was very responsive to my questions and scheduling needs. I had originally scheduled a move-in, deep clean, for my newly purchased home but after moving in (I scheduled the cleaning a few weeks in advance) I realized the previous owners had cleaned so well that I wouldn't need a deep clean after all, but could use a good, overall surface cleaning. Danielle and Kayla were on time, very friendly, and respectful of my home. We walked through the house and discussed the change in services from a deep clean to a regular cleaning and they got started; they chit chatted about seemingly personal things while they worked but it didn't really bother me. They left me a note explaining what the charges/credits would be and that they hoped to see me again in the future - a nice touch. There were a few pretty obvious things that could have been done given that they had a lot of time leftover to work, but I will share a bit in the fault as I have never had my house cleaned before and am new to this. In the future I will make sure the cleaners have extremely clear direction and with that I can only foresee that future visits will bring 100%, A+ satisfaction. Regardless, my home looked and felt beautiful and ready to be lived in! I will be hiring Maid To Shine to clean my home on a regular basis and would recommend their services.

Katie, the house cleaning professional at Maid to Shine comes every other week to clean my house. She is punctual, efficient and does a great job. She has all her own supplies, comes in and gets right to work. I love the days she comes because I know the house will sparkle when she's done. I've had other house cleaners and I must say that Katie is the best. I highly recommend her.

I scheduled an initial cleaning based off of Angie List reviews. They said the first cleaning must be a "deep clean" and minium of 5 hours to be paid. They had never even seen my house size or cleanliness. I was reluctant because my prior cleaning lady was able to clean the whole house in under 3 hours. I suggested that in that 5 hours, they could clean the 800 sq ft basement by dusting and vacuuming. Bonnie said possibly but they would have to wait until the cleaning employees arrive and can look around. Bonnie in the office said she would be sending 2 gals to clean for 2.5 hours thus equaling 5 hrs. My house is 1200 sq ft with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, no kids and non-shedding dogs. It's pretty clean and picked up but needs the basics done. Maid to Shine then sends me this ridiculous contract with all of their rules about things that I can't ask them to clean or add on charges for things like vacuuming the furniture. They also have rules if you don't take weekly cleaning then the price goes up. They have cancellation rules and lists of what they won't clean. However, they can change the plan on you. If their cleaning people call in sick, they can call you to reschedule, but if you reschedule day of... there is a fee. The day of cleaning, they sent a gal who arrived late and alone. I asked where the other cleaner was and she said it would just be her for 5 hours instead of 2 cleaners for 2.5 hrs. Now this is a problem because we work from home and planned to be out of the way for 2.5 hrs, but now we have to be disrupted for 5 hours!! No warning, no call about the change in schedule. She also looked around the house and said she wouldn't have time to clean inside the refrigerator or clean the basement in the 5 hours. Finally, when the gal left with my check for $189 I noticed that the top of the refrigerator was still dusty. All the window sills in the bedroom were dusty. In the end, I didn't see any evidence of a "deep" clean over a regular clean that I can get for half the price. And in fact, forgetting the top of the refrigerator is so cliche. They did call and offer to send someone over to dust those things but that hardly seemed worth the time. I don't like to write negative reviews but I feel it is my duty to other Angie's list patrons because I hire based on good reviews and wish somebody had talked about how this company works.

Katie cleans my place twice a month. I'm pleased that I'm able to have the same person every visit and she's on-time, I like consistency. If I have any specific requests all I have to do is leave her a note. She does a good job.

They called a week after buying, the gal showed up late, I left and came back and she was in the car outside with her boyfriend. The cleaning was substandard and I would never use this service again.

The afternoon went great. Kara is the gal who comes to clean our home twice a month. She is always on time and always does a quality job of cleaning. We are retired and when I was still working I always wondered about having a house cleaner to make my retirement years a time to enjoy. It actually took a few years of thinking about it, talking about it, and one day my husband said "well why don't you get someone to do the cleaning". OK. I searched Angie's list because in the past we have had a good amount of remodeling done and all the contractors we used were found there and we were satisfied with every one of them. So, I did a little searching and liked what I had read about Maid to Shine. On 8/17/15 A representative came to do the Deep Clean, a prerequisite to the regular cleaning, so that they can determine what you want done and how much time it will take to determine the cost for the service. Wow! I was sold. A schedule was arranged and ever since then, Kara cleans our home and does a great job. I prefer to take care of my kitchen counters, stove, refrigerator myself...it keeps me out of trouble. She tackles the Great area (living and dining room) the kitchen floor, three bedrooms and two baths and the entertainment area. She dusts the blinds, furniture, cleans the bathrooms and makes them shine. She vacumns the carpets and cleans the wood floors. She dusts everything from the ceiling to the floor. The best thing about this whole experience is that I am so happy. Another really cool thing is that Kara is such a nice person and her work shows that she cares about what she does. Thank you, Kara.

They are amazing! Always responsive and detail oriented. I get regular communications and if there is an issue (questions, traffic delay etc.) it is always quickly resolved. Liz is great and we really appreciate her!

Both of the young women that Maid to Shine sent were hard working and thorough. They asked for clarification when needed and worked the entire time that they were there. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone as things looked amazing when they left.

They were okay. They were very nice. They did a descent job. I thought the price was a little high but it wasn't terrible. They were very responsive.

We called Maid to Shine to request a move-in deep clean. They sent one cleaner to work for 7 hours (no breaks!). She was slow, didn't have the proper tools/equipment, made excuses when I pointed out things she didn't clean, and didn't know how to properly clean a refrigerator/freezer. I had to keep track of her the entire time she was there. She did not clean the entire house as expected and missed lots of spots throughout. The house was not that dirty to begin with, so I'm not sure why she wasn't able to get through it all. When we called Maid to Shine to complain, we were told there was some miscommunication and that we were to get a "priority" clean. All of our communication was about a "deep" clean and this was the cleaners understanding as well. However, it wasn't done. It took over a week to resolve this issue. Meanwhile, I kept finding spots that were missed (e.g., a dirty drawer, a messy mirror). They have a "deep" clean checklist, I'm not sure why the cleaner didn't use it to ensure that she got everything in each room. Finally another cleaner came for an additional 3 hours, but she still did not get through what was missed by the first cleaner. I hired them to help save time. Instead I wasted time having to supervise the cleaners they sent. I was very disappointed with the cleaning job and will definitely NOT be hiring Maid to Shine again.

Came home and many things were dusty and I spent allot of money but they were saying they would need to finish the job a second visit (and more money). Not sure why. Should have had plenty of time to do the job.

I contacted Maid to Shine and several other cleaning services for a free move-out cleaning estimate about one week before we were scheduled to move. Maid to Shine was the most responsive company and the only one that could work with our tight time frame. Molly at Maid to Shine cleaned our rental house from top to bottom. I had created a list of items that I wanted her to clean, and she went above and beyond to clean things that I had forgotten about, like cobwebs from the ceiling. She was thorough and efficient. I appreciated that she initiated a walk-through of the house with me when she was finished so that I could be sure that everything was to my satisfaction. I was very impressed! Molly also shared some of her cleaning secrets with me, such as which products she used on the stainless steel appliances to make them so shiny and smudge-free, and how she was able to remove all of the soap scum from the shower door. Molly is friendly and has a great work ethic. I highly recommend her and Maid to Shine!

We have been using Maid to Shine for over a year now and have had several different cleaners. All have been very pleasant and professional and did a good job. Recently, Ashley became our regular cleaner and WOW! None of them were bad, but she is truly fantastic! She is such a hard worker, great attention to detail and overall just such a positive and professional person to have in our home. I will also say that the communication with their office is very good - Elizabeth and her assistant are always very prompt and courteous and accommodating - it is obvious customer service is very important to them as a company.

The ladies did a great job! My only complaint is that there was no discount for Angie's List members. I received the same price that they normally charge. A discount would have been really appreciated!

Both cleaners were thorough, competent, pleasant and hardworking. My house looks wonderful. They did a much better job than I do.

Two cleaners arrived right on time. They were professional and polite, asked me to take them through the house and asked lots of good questions. They worked hard and efficiently, and the house was sparkling clean when they were done. They finished on time, even with having to work around my husband and me in our home offices, which they did very gracefully. The fees were exactly as estimated. All in all, pretty much a perfect experience.

This is the first time we were using a cleaning service and wanted to try it to see if we could use this as a regular service. The service was amazing and very professional. Our house never looked this great. The cleaners were very professional, friendly and attended to all our little requests. Thank you !

This was a coupon. Maid to Shine did what they could in the five hours allotted. They stuck to my priorities and made good choices about the rest of the project. My house really needed an overall deep cleaning but I was on a budget! Good work and kind and professional.

She didn't have time to wipe down the kitchen cabinets or mop the floors, but other than that my whole 3 BR 2 BA house was clean and shiny! Very well done.

Email communication was great. Set up a move-in cleaning with this company due to the great reviews on Angie's List. They sent me a list of all cleanings that would be performed as part of the service I was requesting. The cleaning ladies called to say they were running late, which I greatly appreciated. However, most of the items on the list were not completed. Mainly the kitchen and bathrooms were cleaned, which were most important to me, but nothing much else was done. I had to clean up cobwebs, clean baseboards and windowsills, and re-mop the floors because I kept noticing dirt and grime. The water and cleaning solution I used to clean up after Maid to Shine left was literally black. I also used 5 Swifter wet sweepers on the floors and they were also black. I wish I could add photos to this review so that i could share with others.

They did a fantastic job, were very though!! Would hire again, stopped because I changed jobs and was not making enough to afford having someone else clean!

I have never had my house cleaned by another person and I had some anxitey about leaving somebody in home that I did not know. Working so much and helping with some family matters I finially decided I needed help cleaning and I could not get it done on my own. Ariel came out both times for my cleanings. Let me just say she is beyond amazing and works her butt off. She took the time to listen to my concerns as we have a rescue cat that is inside only and is very skittish and sensitve. The first day she did a walk through of the house with me, went over any concerns, what she felt should be compelted to make sure that I was ok with it. Ariel was easy to talk to and very professional, right away I felt comfortable with her and knew this was going to work out for me. She did not get everything completed on the first visit, which I was told may happen. When she came back and touched everything up three weeks later and finished everything my house looked amazing. It was so nice to come home to a clean house. Ariel does not use any harsh chemeicals and they all seem to be unscented as the house is clean but I cannot smell any cleaners. I cannot say enough good things about her. If you are looking for your first clean I would recommned requesting her.

Two people are assigned to do the "Deep Clean" which is a prerequisite to even start service with this company. No one came out to evaluate the house or the need. They just charge you for 2.5 hours per person, which equals 5 hours of cleaning, and call it a "Deep Clean". Not all services were completed. Grout had black spots that was easily removed with Clorox Clean -Up and a little water. Dining room chair legs not dusted. The team showed up at different times but left at the same time. How did that add up to 5 hours? The 100% Satisfaction Guarantee requires you to take time out of your schedule so they can re-do what should have been done in the first place. Not a good value for my time.

I've been cleaning my house for several years now, but used a cleaning service in the past. I finally decided to start trying out new cleaning services and I found a deal for deep cleaning on Angie's List. I was particularly interested in a service that used environmentally-friendly products so Maid To Shine stood out. It took a few days to coordinate a date, but we finally found a date that worked. Katie and Kara did a great job and it was nice to come home to a house that didn't smell like cleaning products. During the cleaning, a figurine was accientally broken and I appreciated their offer to replace at their cost.
