Would highly recommend this company !!! See above for full description
Description of Work: We had a bathroom remodel which required the purchase of a New toilet. They not only handled the procurement, but arranged a expedited install when the item arrived sooner than expected. We also had an unfortunate pipe burst one day before the install and not only were they able to allocate extra time to assist with that repair , but had the unimaginable equipped truck that had all items to do that repair on the spot. When the install and repair were complete they also recommended a great company to fix the drywall. We were above and beyond pleased with this company and would recommend them highly.

We were very happy with their work. They responded right away the same day when we called them with our problem. They were very knowledgeable and the man who came out was very accessible and knew what he was doing. He was very competent and not showy. We had another company come out to price the job and Crown's pricing was the best. They came when they said they would.
Description of Work: I used Crown Plumbing to help get our dishwasher situated. Earlier they did all the plumbing for our remodel then we were having issues with our dishwasher so they came back to help us get our dishwasher set.

I originally called another plumbing company who was located in Vancouver, WA. Who was not licensed in Oregon (where the work was to be done). So they recommended Crown Plumbing. Who was also rated favorably here on Angie's List. So I went with them. I am very glad I did. My fiancee met the plumber at the house, and the first thing out of his mouth was "I do things right". Which is fantastic. We don't mind paying a bit more if it means the job is done correctly. We hate when people take shortcuts! We had them repair the drain pipes underneath the kitchen sink and inspect the rest of the plumbing in the house, so we would know what type of cost we were looking at, to have the work done in the future.
Description of Work: Repaired sink drain and replaced the drains themselves. Inspected the plumbing in the rest of the house to give a quote on how much it would cost to replace it.

The filler spout we purchased online wiggled freely after tightening the set screw. We called Crown because our previous experience with Robert was so excellent. Again he delivered professionally. The nipple the spout connects to had a loose nut. There was no access panel to reach the tub plumbing, so Robert measured the distance and was able to cut an access panel in the drywall of a closet to reach the nut and tighten it. We are delighted with his knowledge and capability. This is the second time we've used them.
Description of Work: Replaced wax ring on a toilet, install filler spout for whirlpool tub. Inspected water lines to two toilets.

Flawlessly. We had hired a handyman who was installing two new sinks and three sets of faucets. He struggled with the installation for most of a day and it was clear this was beyond his abilities. We called in Crown to take over which they did quickly and professionally.

We were told the plumber would help with installing our new, basic sink, along with the new faucet and faucet hardware. Plumber showed on time, but said they didn't help with install of under-counter (granite) sinks. We figured how to do it ourselves, and rescheduled. Plumber again showed up on time, and helped place the granite with attached sink on the cabinet, but grudgingly. He installed new faucet and hardware just fine afterward. Crown was referred to us by George Morlan Plumbing, where we bought the bath counter, sink, etc. Crown was professional. However, they didn't inquire enough about what exactly was being installed. This wasted our time and theirs. Are the plumbers there prima donas? Installation cost was very high for about an hour's work.

Very well. I am very happy with the install. I had low water pressure on every outside faucet and my new faucet fixed that problem. Plumber was courteous and on time.
Description of Work: We hired Crown Plumbing to add an outdoor faucet to the outside of our house. We live in Milwaukee and they require a permit to do this work. They handled everything for us. The plumber came out, discussed with me where exactly I wanted the faucet and how high on the wall. The installation went perfectly and they even improved my water pressure. The inspector came out to do the final inspection on the work and quickly signed off.

Crown sent out 2 guys because of the cast iron sink is so heavy. They started by bring in a piece of carpet to put on the floor in front of the sink. They spent about 1 hour just getting the old sink broken loose from the granite counter top so as not to damage it. One guy left after they got it out and into one of their trucks. The other one stayed to finish up the plumbing and see if the new sink would fit properly, which it didn't. He wasn't to concerned about it at that point and explained to me that I would have to call my granite person to make an adjustment in the counter top. He made the sink completely functional. This is the second time that we have used Crown Plumbing and have been very satisfied with their work.
Description of Work: They removed the old cast iron kitchen sink and installed a new egranite sink and faucet. They also redid all the plumbing for the sink, the garbage disposal and the sprayer.

In general, I try to use Angie's List to describe services I recommend, but in this case I will make an exception. We had been with Crown for years, but instead of fixing this problem, they left us with an additional leak under the sink which we discovered a couple of weeks later, after fast-growing black mold had taken over. That was when our problems really started. Crown claimed the mold was caused by a slow leak from aging pipes, until we produced a witness that the area was clean and dry the week before the plumber worked on it. Then they did a cheap subcontract on the mold remediation, which was not successful. We finally decided it was easier to finish the mold remediation ourselves than to deal any further with Crown. At no point, from beginning to end, did I ever feel that Crown cared about our problem, only about self-protection.

Had Monday morning appointment. Called and left message on friday that we needed to change to an afternoon appointment. Due to Monday appointment, I called back again that day to assure they had gotten my voicemail, to find that my husband had also called that day to assure they had gotten our message. They thanked us for calling to let them know and said they would come Monday afternoon. As my husband was getting ready for his doctor's appointment on Monday morning, they showed up at our house! We had spoken to them 3 times about changing our appointment and they still showed up at the wrong time. My husband asked if they could come back in the afternoon but they couldn't. Will not be using their services!

It went well, particularly on the second occasion involving the utility tub, where I had asked for the major job, and the Crown plumber gave me a variety of options and their practicality, from which I chose one, which turned out to be a much more minor, but satisfactory solution to my problem.
Description of Work: On several separate occasions I used Crown Plumbing to install a kitchen faucet, replace washer hoses & modify a utility tub for stability, by moving against a wall; examined feasibility of major realignment of existing water and drain pipes from current location to against wall several feet away, in moving the tub.

Crown charged me $95 for the 1st visit when they provided an estimate, but did not do any work. They estimated it would be between $600 and $900 for the actual work, and it ended up being $600. The plumber, Rob, was great: thoughtful and efficient. He offered to move the new pipe back further towards the wall so we'd have more headroom in the main area of the basement. The company was very nice and quick to schedule the work. They only downside was that I did not receive a heads up when they called for a final inspection by the City, so it was pure luck that I was home when the inspector showed up.
Description of Work: Replacement of kitchen sink drain pipe from sink to main stem drain in basement (25 feet of pipe). The old galvanized steel drain pipe in my 1930s house sprang 3 leaks where it runs along the basement ceiling. Crown came by and estimated the entire drain needed to be replaced because a permit is required to replace over 4 feet and the pipe was undersized (1.5 inches) under the current code (2 inches).

Andy was scheduled to come between 8 and noon and he called at 7:40 to ask if he could come early. He had not installed the kind of toilet I bought before so read the instructions and put it in. We were both amazed at how it works so well. He was respectful of my space (I work at home) and cleaned up behind himself. I asked him to leave the old one so I could take it to the Rebuilding Center and he tucked it into the corner of my front porch for me to donate.
Description of Work: I got the wrong toilet. Even so Andy had to charge me for his time which was the first half hour, my mistake. He came back 4 days later and put in one I had to go back to Home Depot to get. This toilet was one of the new water-saver ones without the old ball and flap.

It was frustrating to have to call back twice to have things I thought were repaired, repaired. The problem may be the old pipes.
Description of Work: Jesse replaced parts in the kitchen faucet and replaced part of a pipe and corner to fix a leak in the basement laundry tub area on the first visit. He also installed new hose on the washer. Cost approximately $250. He advised me that the pipes were rusty and in need of replacement. The leak in the basement continued after Jesse left. He returned a week later and replaced a larger portion of the pipe and installed a new valve. Cost approximately $200 The kitchen faucet would not turn off - the water kept running the following week. About a week and a half later Jesse returned and replaced the kitchen faucet parts. There was no charge this time. Jesse explained that rust had damaged the original repair.

I didn't have a plumber, so I called around. After answering all of my questions, Crown Plumbing came out in a few hours to put in a temporary line. They then gave me an estimate, and had to work very hard in order to fix the line. It took 2 1/2 days to do instead of the one that they had originally said, and they stuck to the estimate. I had the city inspector come out to inspect. He said it wasn't up to code, and they went out of their way to prove that it was up to code to the inspector. They made sure I had documentation from the city, free of charge. All phases of the repair were excellent from front office to the people doing the work.

Jesse came out on time and quickly understood the problem. He tried a quick solution by fixing just the pipe on the outside, but then found the pipe running through the wall was rusted out as well. He ended up replacing the pipe from under the sink to the outside and then down to the sewer. He did a great job. And he had enough time left on my 4th 1/2 hour that he replaced a leaky outside faucet without any extra time charge! Only complaint, cost! Something like $95 for first 1/2 hour & $55 for each 1/2 hour extra. Yikes!
Description of Work: My kitchen sink drain is designed in a funny way in that it runs out the sink, then through the outer wall and down the side of the house into the sewer line in the ground. The drain pipe outside had rusted out (it was disguised by the former owner!), so water was running down the outside of the house every time we ran water in the sink.
