They crew came out right on time and worked efficiently and productively. They said it would be a one day project and it was. They took away all of the old doors and parts and left the garage very clean.

One of the torsion springs broke over the weekend. Since I did not have a car in the garage, I asked friends on FB for recommenedations as well as searched Angie's List. A friend in Oregon City recommended Oregon City Garage Door and said "they do good work". Customer service scheduler was very helpful and would have had someone out on Monday afternoon but I couldn't get away from work, so I scheduled for Friday. Service tech was very prompt and friendly. He said because it was the original 1957 door and mechanism, it would take him a little longer and there was an option for more $'s to switch springs to middle so future replacement would be quicker. But he wasn't hard sell and went ahead and replaced both as positioned on each end of the door. For what he did, I do not feel it took him that long at all and he also inspected my door and rollers and said they were in good shape yet; I was glad there was no additional hard-selling on maintenance and will definitely use them again as well as use them to evetually replace the 20 y/o opener.

The process went well and was done in a day. The only hangup was on the estimate day Ryan's computer did not boot so he did not show up for the appoitnment until after I called him. Otherwise it was good and I did price check basically the same set up elsewhere and it was $400 more and these openers have battery back up if the power goes off. The doors are fine and I like having some natural light in the garage. The openers are the best part. Lights automatically come on when you enter the garage. The garage doors can be set to auto close after an hour or at other times if you forget to close them. You can set up a one time courtesy code for someone needing acess to the house with the remoate key pad. It also seems yo can open it with your smart phone but that might need some added hardware.

They were awesome. They beat another estimate by over 200 for the same doors. They did a great job.

Called OR City 1st for quote bc I worked with them before & they were honest & priced fair compared to other places. In past, without using Angie's list, I had been ripped off by garage doors repair companies. At times to the tune of $450. OR City has been honest & reasonable. I called them 1st, but they took a day to return my call & could not. One for @3-4 days, but they gave me a price quote. I called a competitor that came over instantly & they even had a coupon for a cheap service call, but the estimate was outrageously high, even when I explained I planned on purchasing new "designer" garage door within the year when the house was painted. I paid the service call fee discounted by the coupon & sent the competitor on its way. I waited for OR City garage & they fixed it for a reasonable price & arrived on time with all the right materials required for the job.

Ryan, the owner came out the same day I called and gave us a quote for repair of the door as well as replacement. We chose to go with a repair but are considering replacing within the next year or so. Ryan had to find a replacement bracket since our door was original to our 1965 house. He called us that evening and left a message that Casey would be out in the morning for the repair. Casey arrived and worked on the door for approximately 2 hours. He was very knowledgable and explained the entire process.
