juWhile I guess they did everything they said they were going to do, I
can't help but feel bad that I didn't bother to get competitive bids for
the job.
From what I can tell, they made pretty good money per hour on
this job, charging me the full quoted price.  To be fair, I agreed to
let them do the job, but when the guy said that it would be $1500, but
if it turned out to be less he wouldn't charge the whole amount I some
how knew at that point, the bill was going to be the full $1500
regardless.  Maybe that's a fair price, maybe not, now seems high, and I
regret not getting some other bids.
They were prompt in coming out to give the estimate, got there before the plumber had left
They accommodated the tenants schedule and as far as I can tell, they completed the job.
the issues I have revolve around a thorough lack of direct communication with me during the course of the work, all the feedback I got was only that what was relayed through the tenant.  Not exactly how I think a company should work with a landlord situation.  The first communication I got back from them was only when they called me to inquire about the billing for the job, which indeed was the full $1500.
There was definitely some work to be done, but the tear out they did was done in less than a day, after that, it was just leaving the dehumidiffier running for 5 days and then coming back to pick it up, though, they may or may not have stopped by periodically to check up on it.
So my issues center around price and communications, I suspect that the price was high, and the communication was non-existent.
I have a tough time judging the quality of the work itself, from what I can tell, they ripped out what probably needed to be ripped out and dried it out, I don't know if they actually applied any chemicals or treatments or did anything at all under the house, the invoice is very sparse on details.
I wouldn't use them again with out first getting at least a couple other bids for the job.

No one cared or verified the invoice accuracy and overcharge, and no one took a good responsibility for a through work before and after the job done : (1) a free service call was charged for $140, (2) 3 labor hours was charged for 6 hours, (3) triple charged "haul debris $124.51", "wet pad $149.60", and "remove wet pad $69.53"  (three items are the same job, only one item S/B charged ),  (4) content manipulation for one medium room $65.00 (only move one 8 lbs light corner table, and one empty 35 lbs cabinet for 10 ft distance, it took only 8 minutes totally), (5) carpet cleaning for 409 sqft was charged without any service performed. (6) a standing fan was damaged when a worker worked in my place.
Technician asked for the full payment very firmly, I insisted that I had to talk with a representative about the discrepancy as listed above.  Finally I clarified the discrepancy and did not pay the extra charges - due to Waterbear explanation it was a software glitch (??? depending on software to charge customers as extra as possible???  No one in Waterbear verified the invoice until customer find all ?????)
Waterbear was recommended by ProDrain, I recommend ProDrain for the most of services, BUT NOT Waterbear CLEANING AND RESTORATION at all.
