Master Sweep

This is the second time I have had Master Sweep clean our chimney and I am very happy with their work. Friendly, efficient, informative and a good value.

Master Sweep turned out very well. They didn't charge more than the big deal purchase. They're prompt and they did a good job. There's nothing bad. They're very responsive and punctual. They're very professional.

I think it was good. I wasn't actually there, my family was there. They were very understanding about the fact that my house would not close on time to take advantage of the coupon before it expired, and they actually extended that and talked to me on the phone and they were very good about that. The customer service on the phone was really good. My mother said good things about them.

Prompt. Did what they agreed to do.

They showed up right on time and both went right to work. I don't think our dryer vent had been cleaned since the house was built so the difference was amazing.

It was a positive experience in general. There were no additional charges other than what was offered in the big deal. They made some recommendations. I think it was all fine. It is difficult because I cannot get into my chimney to check the job they did. The only thing I would have to say is they left without having a conversation with us. They were responsive. I think the price was reasonable.

They did a good job. He was very quick and very through. I had no complaints at all. It was just what I expected.

It went great I prepaid and told them I had a regular chimney and it was a wood stove so the cost is usually a little more but he accepted my original payment and will be coming back next year. They did a great job and I very much appreciated their work. ww

They are a good company. I felt the communication could have been better, but they did a good job.

They are difficult to contact by phone, but well worth the additional effort. The identified some work that was needed on the stove, which I was able to order the parts and perform myself.

Very well. He was so honest that he actually told me that it was too early and the chimney did not need to be swept and was willing to give me a refund. I asked him to do the job and remove the ash anyway. He told me I would not need further cleaning until the Fall of 2014.

When I booked the appointment, it wasn't made clear that the time slot was a window (8am-1pm). So I was expecting them at 8am. When I called at 8:30 thinking they were late whoever answered just chuckled and said they NEVER made exact appointment, like I was silly to think so. That was pretty dismissive and annoyed me. When the guy showed, he was super professional gave me hints on how to prevent flame ups and smoke from coming inside my house upon use and he also let me know there were some errors in the installation of our new roof around the chimney. And that he would easily fix them. I asked if he could email me those details so my husband and I could discuss what action to take, and he never did. Perhaps it was sent to my junk mail, not sure. They did call a couple of weeks later asking if I would like to schedule an appt. for those repairs to be made. I didn't return their call. I would say he is a great chimney sweep, and expert. But the customer service was lacking on detail and follow-up.

He came back another time and the racoon was gone so we decided to cap the chimney. He came back a third time and there was no racoon so he thought she might have had babies. He suggested that he would use a jackhammer to my flu and try to find the babies. He said if I didn't get them out i would have bad smells and flies coming out the fireplace. I choose not to do this for $300 to $400 dollars more. There isn't a smell and no flies in my house, so I'm glad I didn't do what he suggested . the racoon stayed on my roof for 5 days and ruined some shingles My cleaning lady was here at the time and told me he smelled of alchol and she didn't trust him.

Jason came promptly, worked quickly with his partner, and gave us recommendations for a minor repair. He told us that with the type of stove that we have and the amount of use it gets that we likely will need chimney sweep services only once every two years.

The serviceman from Master Sweep found my chimney just fine. The price, quality, and professionalism were excellent. I referred Master Sweep to my neighbor.

We bought a deal for a chimney cleaning and inspection off AL. I apologize, I don't remember the exact cost but it was very reasonable. Master Sweep showed up on time and was very professional and courteous. He did a great job explaining the finding of his inspection and cleaning. We knew we needed a rain cap, and he had one on hand that day to install. We're preparing to rent our home, so this cleaning and inspection gives us peace of mind. We need some additional work in the future, and will not hesitate to use Mastersweep for that work.

He showed up on time, was very professional and explained everything he was doing. Our fireplace has worked better since the work was done.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was a good experience. He did what he was supposed to do. It was more than I thought because I had more than one chimney which I didn't consider in the pricing. He did find something else wrong with the top of my chimney cap. He convinced me that I needed some work done up there so he came back and did that work. He was prompt. I don't know if I needed it done but I trust that I did. He said that it was not screened in and I could conceivably get a bird coming down my chimney. He seemed like a trustworthy guy so I said okay for him to do the work. I may have been sold something that I may or may not have needed but he seemed like a good guy and he was the owner and I wanted to give him the business. I would recommend him. The price was more than I thought but I didn't read the fine print. I had two fireplaces but only one flue. I felt a little bit like I had been tricked. I probably would use him again now that I am informed and there would be no negative surprises.

Totally professional. Worked around my crazy schedule to come out which was very much appreciated. All work spaces were covered and not a speck of dirt/soot was left behind! The actual cleaning was super fast also! While cleaning they did notice that the fire box was in need of repair and left me an estimate.

Great! Very professional, courteous and even offered to set up reminders to call us in the future for service.

My Home Inspection had already turned up some problems in the fireplace. When Master Sweep came I said nothing of the findings and let them go ahead and do their job. When Master Sweep was finished they gave me a list of what need attention and they explained why attention was needed. I was very pleased with the service they provided.

Arrived on time, let me know that they wouldn't sweep second floor fireplace smoke shelf & damper on common chimney run without up charge. Did the work, cleaned up and provided a quote on repairs for chimney.
