He showed up on time and did an excellent job. I like the way he explained what and how he was doing the job. He also provided useful information. Professional and courteous.

They are very flexible in finding times that met our schedule and did the work very well. He also did a great job cleaning up after.

Did the job and inspected the whole chimney. Pointed out some problems a previous chimney company fell short on. Followed up with old company and they are willing to come back out almost two years later to fix some of them. Am grateful to Master Sweep for pointing them out,

The experience was excellent and I highly recommend Jason. He was prompt, very professional and a true "master" at his job. He gave advice and ideas for maintaining and improving our two fireplaces that had been converted to gas by the previous owners. He also went the extra mile - he came back on a weekend to install new fireplace doors because they did not arrive by the time he finished his repair work - and he did it at no extra charge! He was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He made sure to lay down cloths to protect our carpets and used an exhaust system that sucked up all the dust and soot. There was no mess at all (one of my fears). He assessed the state of our fireplaces and made suggestions for the future. He also inspected and gave us a price on replacing our chimney caps while he was there.

They came out on time. They checked everything, They were very professional taking his shoes off. He was very friendly and honest. Everything went great.

The job was postponed twice by Master Sweep then work proceeded over the next four days. The freestanding chimney work took 2 days with one helper and the center chimney was done by one person over the next 2 days with clean up and equipment teardown on the final day. This job was somewhat difficult due of the proximity to the home next door. Barriers were provided to keep debris from hitting the neighboring property. I hauled the old brick and concrete away to save the cost of renting a brick and cement drop box. The work area was reasonably cleaned and the work appears to be done well.

I'm a landlord living in Seattle with a rental property in Portland. Master Sweep contacted my tenants directly and arranged a time to perform the work. No complaints from either side.

They came out for the inspection and cleaning which I purchased as an Angie's List Deal. It went very smoothly, in fact I couldn't believe how quickly it went. They showed up right on time and were very pleasant to work with. As a result of the inspection they recommended that I install a cap on the chimney which I had them order and return to do the installation. That also went very smoothly and I would definitely recommend them.

I have used them in the past and purchased the deal from them again this year. When I called them, they were very polite and helpful, but they informed me that they were very busy and they were not servicing my area at the time. I was able to get a refund from Angie's List, but I will use them in the future.

I was supposed to have a chimney sweep and a cap placed and master sweep did not show up twice. The first time Jason tried to blame it on me. I had made the original appointment for a weekday I had off he was a no show and when I called he had me down for a different day in which I was working. Mistakes happen so I rescheduled. Second time Jason called the day before and left a message asking if he could come earlier, I called back and left a message saying yes come by earlier. I waited for hours and he was a no show again, not even for the originally scheduled time and did not bother to answer his phone. When we finally spoke I made it very clear how angry I was that he wasted my time, yet again he tried to place blame in my lap saying he never got my message in which I said he could come early. Regardless I told him he still was a no show for the original time and I would not be recommending or using him again plus a bad review in angieslist. I had used Jason in the past for a sweep and a cap with no problems but two times of poor customer service and displacing blame you can forget it. All of my business will be taken elsewhere.

We had recently moved in to our house and there was a terrible smell when we lit the fireplace. The chimney sweep guys fixed this problem and cleaned out the chimney, made it safe to use and replaced the chimney cap. They were quick and efficient!

He got to work right away on the chimney. He quickly found and removed the bird's nest, finished the rest of the chimney sweeping, and cleaned up the are where he was working within 20-30 minutes. Next he cleaned the dryer vent. To do that, he had to get in behind the dryer which was a bit challenging. Since my laundry room is so small, he had to remove the door from the frame and move the dryer out of the laundry room. After he cleaned vent leading outside, he swept the floor where the dryer had been sitting before putting the dryer & door back in place. Then he went outside and cleaned the vent from there. This probably took 30-45 minutes. He was friendly & courteous. I highly recommend his services.

Just purchased this house and bought an Angies List deal to have Master Sweep come and clean our chimney. Did a great job with the cleaning. Also did an inspection and gave us a quote to fill in some gaps we have in the chimney to prevent fires.

He wasn't sure if he was there to clean the duc work for my furnance or clean my chimney. He really pushed other services on me.

He checked the chimney and it was very clean so he recommended that we add a hood to the top. There was moister in the chimney so I agreed. He used the big deal amount as part of payment for the hood. He also made recommendations as to things that an inspector might point out.

I would give them C's all of the way through. I remeber I would not have them back.

I didn't go with Master Sweep. I had GREAT response from Oregon Chimney and Repair and Russell Chimney. I had knowledgeable people from these two companies out to my house and two estimates in my hand in less than a week!
