Master Sweep

Cleaning went fine, Master Sweep was pleasant and professional while here. Fireplaces looked much better, and that was pleasing. However they left without ensuring our gas fireplace was working. Our follow up email and voice mail were not responded to. We called a second time and we were told to "light the pilot light." I opened the fireplace to a cave of dusty spiderwebs. I suppose that that cleaning is just for the fireplace cavity, not for the entire unit. I spent an additional 15 minutes on my knees getting the pilot on and removing spiderman's leftovers. To this day, my email has not been responded to (their invoice offered to contact them with any questions).

Jason was professional, easy to get along with, very accommodating and competent. We have recommended him to others who are planning to use his services soon.

He showed up on on time and inspected the chimney both inside and out. He gave me details on the condition and even took me up to the roof to show me an issue we had with the flashing. Then he got down to the actual sweeping which was completed pretty quickly and with no mess. After giving me a quote on a cap for the chimney he was on his way. This was definitely a positive experience.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. It was pretty basic and they gave me some pointers on things I needed to do to the woodstove. He showed up on time, but was a little late within the time window he said.

I purchased a "Deal" from Angie's List for $109 and did not read the fine print, which indicated that an additional $60 charge would apply for fireplaces with inserts. I was prepared to fork over an extra $60 but the service person waived the fee, which was really great. Master Sweep service reps are easy to get a hold of and very professional. The tech arrived on time and performed the work quickly and left no mess or trace. I would highly recommend Master Sweep.

They are fine. They did a good job and then they put us on they’re alert list. They followed up quite well. They are good. I think that we will use them again; it is about time.

They still haven't completed the painting around the roof and it's been since June. They're supposed to come back yesterday but they didn't show up. It did not go very well. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. They didn't complete the work they said they would.

Appointment was scheduled promptly. Jason was very pleasant to deal with and gave good advice regarding our open fireplace. Our wood burning stove was in good order so he just needed to clean that. He was really thorough and even contacted our furnace company to check whether a chimney cap was needed.He advised us on what would need doing in the future, gave us a quote but never pushed us regarding getting it done immediately or by using them. We were very impressed with Jason and so Master Sweep will be our go to company next year for chimney maintenance. Thank you.

The service provided was excellent. The owner is the one that showed up with one of their assistants so it's nice to have that kind of attention. He was very knowledgeable about the questions I had.

When June rolled around I called and we set up an appointment for July. When the time for the appointment came Jason showed up but thought he was there to do a chimney cleaning. When I explained that it was actually for tuck point he apologized and said that he didn't have enough mortar and asked that I reschedule. I rescheduled. This time nobody showed up. I tried calling 3 times after that to reschedule again (I'm pretty patient and this was not a critical issue, and honestly his price was good)... but 2 times I left a voicemail and nobody called back. The third time the person who answered said they were on the line with another customer and would call me right back and then never did. Now I'm done wasting my time trying to track down this service provider.

They were very quick--much faster than we expected. As far as we know, they did a good,efficient job. We had to pay extra beyond the $149 coupon price, $97 more, because we have a double chimney with two fire places, one on each floor.

The sweeping was done efficiently and cleanly. the entire process was about 45 minutes. We were completely satisfied and will use his service in about two years. ..

As noted above, they did everything I needed done so I'll be safe.

We just purchased a new home with two fireplaces. Master Sweep was able to clean the upstairs chimney and do an inspection. They inspected the downstairs chimney but the damper did not open wide enough for a cleaning to occur at that time. Discussed options for replacing damper and cost. Detailed information was given on what to watch for when using the upstairs fireplace before replacing the downstairs damper to avoid smoke being pulled into the space from upstairs. He looked at the outside of the chimney as well to determine if the masonry work was waterproofed or not. Discussed options and when to water proof the outside structure of the chimney since it had not been waterproofed.

The service was prompt and professional.

It went well. On one of the chimneys, they were reluctant to walk on the tile roof so cleaned the chimney from below.

It went very well, he was on time and he was in and out in less than an hour. We used the deal shortly after purchasing it and they didn't charge us anything other than the cost of the deal. I was very pleased with the service, he showed me some paperwork showing me that it was done off Angie's List special deal and said he had put me on a calling list and he would call me next August to schedule another annual chimney sweep service. He cleaned up all the mess and left my chimney in an emmaculate state.

I purchased the coupon for a chimney cleaning and inspection. Master sweep called me in a timely manner. The person was very friendly and professional when scheduling the appointment. She made a reference to this being a fireplace and not a wood stove. I told her it was a wood stove and she told me there would be an additional $50 charge. I told her I was not aware of that and she said it was in the fine print. I went back and looked... the fine print said there is an additional charge for fireplace inserts. Maybe they are the same thing but the price was quite a bit higher than we generally pay.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out well. They came out pretty quick after we first made the appointment. We also had a follow up appointment which we paid for. He could not do the service, but he could have just charged us and not really do the work. It did not need what we purchased so he basically did not charge us for that since there was not that much for him to do. However, he caught something that was a problem that we were unaware of so he credited what we would have paid for the deal towards another service. We were very appreciative of his honesty and knowledge. I have nothing negative to say.

They did a fantastic job cleaning out a long dryer vent that was clogged.

He was very responsive. He found some issues with the chimney. So I hired him to do follow up work and he is doing that for me. He was on time, courteous and a good guy. They contacted me pretty much as soon as I bought the deal and the receptionist made a schedule.
