Roy Anthony Gilmore's Handyman Service

It was difficult to find the right bracket to fix the drawer and Roy made the damaged one work for us by drilling new holes in the damaged one. While we didn't have anything major done he was very helpful and professional. We would definitely call him again. He was here for 1 + hours. He did charge for driving time which was included in his bill of $57.

We provided the paint. He provided the labor. Roy is conscientious and does a great job. It is apparent that he takes pride in his work. He cleaned up after himself, with no mess left behind.

Roy was thorough and competent, and had great problem-solving skills. The trim required cutting to fit some odd spots, and it came out great. He completed the work as soon as possible, and also gave us some advice about other projects, one of which we asked him to do right away.

Roy arrived on time; completed several repairs. He is very thorough, conscientious & honest. I plan to hire him again in the future & highly recommend him to anyone. All & all we are very satisfied with his work!

I was not getting in hot water into the house and could not determine the problem. Mr. Gilmore arrived and quickly determined the cause. The elements inside the water heater were burned out and needed replacing. Mr. Gilmore left to purchase the parts and returned fixed the problem and I had hot water with the hour.

I spoke with Roy on the phone and told him I had a small attic area that I wanted to have cleaned and debris removed.(Small amount of various junk, enough to fill a trash can and lots of mouse droppings) Roy showed up on schedule but not equipped to remove small amount of debris from attic. He said he would need his truck and that would cost $150 extra. He went ahead and cleaned the attic. Luckily he had brought a small shop vac, but borrowed a broom, dustpan and rags from me. He put all debris on a small tarp and I took care of removing it. The entire job took about 1/2 hour after which he installed a clamp in a cabinet to secure a shelf. I had other repairs for him to do, but in the time he was working on the cabinet he was also talking on his cell phone (and therefor using only one hand) I decided not to ask for the other repairs since I was paying him by the hour. It all would have been fine if he hadn't then told me that his hourly rate was doubled for his travel time to Ashland from Medford! He hadn't told me of a travel charge when I spoke with him on the phone.

He really did a very professional job. He made sure that everything was cleaned up and that the job was complete. I was very satisfied with every aspect of his work

We were out of town when the repairs occurred. The tenant called to let us know of the needed repairs and I found Roy on Angie's List. I called him, and he was able to go to the rental that same afternoon and check out what needed to be done. He then proceeded to purchase the needed parts, and returned to the rental and installed and replaced the necessary parts. He was very efficient, timely and professional. He agreed to do the work, even though we were out of town and I had to mail his check to him. He furnished me with a copy of his receipt for the parts, along with his invoice for labor, all by email that afternoon, after he completed the repairs. I made out his check and mailed it to him the very next day. I am very happy with the work done. Our tenant said she had a very good experience with having Roy do the repairs, and that he acted in a very professional manner. I will definitely use Roy again if I need work done. He charged a very reasonable amount for his time and labor.

He climbed on the roof and worked from there. He threw some stuff down and put some in a bucket. He cleaned up all around afterward with a blower.

This individual should be banned from business. He took advantage of a disabled person, shoddy work and price gouging. He has haraased for more monies. Police reports have been filed. City Code Compliance can not believe the fees and lack of craftmanship associated with this nightmare. I have been keeping up my part of the bargain to pay him payments on the original amount ($400, material and $600.00, labor). Just to get rid of him. This job is worthless!!!

We were satisfied with the price. The quality of work was excellent. He was very conscientious of service provided.

He seemed to be able to do the job. I don't think that he was good at keeping records. I didn't get receipts. For the small job, he charged me quite a bit. I asked why and he said he was going over his records and realized he didn't charge me enough on previous jobs. I don't think that's right. I felt his handyman skills were very good. I was having problems with a water heater. He was good at problem solving and communicating over the phone with the manufacturer.

Arrived on time. Very organized and professional. Worked efficiently and effectively under cramped conditions (24" crawl space). Very affordable rates. Awesome job...I will definitely use him again!
