They came when they said they would and got the job done and we haven?t had a problem with carpenter ants. We have been happy with them.

Based on the recommendation of Affordable Pest Control, we are planning to fix this problem ourselves. But, we would not be able to do it without the generous time they spent offering advice and help.

Called company Tuesday or Wednesday. Received a verbal quote from Joe and had him come out on Thursday. Joe did a great job and had great advice as far as keeping other pests away from the yard and house.

Called the company about our rat problem. The owner answered. When I told him we had already trapped some rats, he explained that we probably had about taken care of it ourselves, and gave a bunch of great information about possible causes of the problem and how to prevent future incidents. Very professional and helpful, and very honest to have let me know. Ultra-impressed.

When we contacted the company for information about services and charges we talked directly to the owner, Mr. Daley. He was professional, knowledgeable, and willing to adjust his work processes to accommodate chemical sensitivities. The scheduled work was performed on time and at a very reasonable charge. We would use Affordable Pest Control again and would definitely recommend this company to others.

I called after spotting some holes and one ant. My window trim had recently been painted, and Joe alerted me that I should wait for a couple of weeks for the paint to cure. He said he would call back in two weeks, and he did within a day of when he said he would. He was able to come the next day, they arrived on time, were efficient and thorough. He warned me ahead of time that a little chemical would get on the windows, so there were no surprises - which I appreciate. He also alerted me to keep my dog off the sprayed areas until they dried. He didn't try to sell me any more services, as some others have done. I will use them again.

The treatments were very effective. The day after the treatment no ants were seen in the house and yellow jackets are no longer swarming around the garden.

It went great, again very thorough. About a month after I saw some new mice droppings and even though technically they only guarantee a month they came out anyway and put more bait in traps at no cost to me. It was really appreciated and they were both very nice to talk to and work with on the issue.

I called Joey to come look at a problem with ants we had been having in the kitchen. He was able to come within a few days of the call. He was right on time. He quickly assessed the problem. They were odiferous house ants. I wanted a low-impact approach first before using too much pesticide. He placed a small amount of gel bait in one area of the kitchen and told me where to get additional bait at the hardware store. He told me to wait 4 days, then take away bait and wipe surfaces with a simple alcohol/water/dish soap solution to erase their scent trails. Its been four days and there is not one ant left in the kitchen. He did not charge me at all for the visit and advice or bait gel. I am so grateful to him as we have elderly dogs that are very sensitive to chemicals. He also gave us some great advice about spiders and yellow jackets. Wow! He really knows his stuff! I would have him back in a minute if we have any more pest issues.

This is the second time I have used Affordable Pest Control. First time was in April of '08. I don't really have any bug issues and I like to keep it that way.

The contractor was very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable about his business. He was here within a day and a half from the time I called, which is great, considering this is a busy time for pest control. Both he and his son sprayed all around the house, fence, garage and shed. They sprayed around the oak tree and up the tree as far as they could. He also left some sticky traps to put around inside the house. I really felt that he was completely honest about his fees and chemicals used and would certainly use him again!

Both he and his son came out to do this. They came right out, were very professional, great with follow up, and I would highly recommend them to others. He did exactly what they said they were going to do. They went above and beyond and were very responsive.

I spoke with Joe who explained in detail how we might have gotten the carpenter ants as well as all of our options for ridding ourselves of the pests. He also provided the name of the chemical that would be used so that I could research further. I had spoken to several other companies that wanted to drill holes in my siding. Joe pointed out that this could be a potential issue should we ever decide to sell our home. He was on time and professional. I give him an A+.

I called on Wednesday and they offered to come the next day. I scheduled for Friday and they showed up on time. They treated the infestation in the house and then sprayed the outside perimeter of the house. In addition, they sprayed the garage. They were quick, efficient and cleaned up before they left. I would recommend their service!

Called on Friday and had a long discussion of options, products, guarantees, process and expectations. Set a time for Tuesday with a one hour window. They were early which was great. Provided commentary and instructions while spraying the inside of the house. All very professional and helpful.

I called a pest control company I have used several times on my rentals. They did a good job but seemed to be a little expensive but I had nothing to compare their prices with and I had been happy with them. For my own house, they were going to come out, spray the infected area, drill the short side of my house and spray and put granuals around the foundation. They gave me a price of $500 with a $50 discount because I had used them so much recently. I felt that was way too high so told them no. They charge $75 to come out and look at the problem and if you use them, they put that money towards the application price. Since I am not using them, their estimate will probably cost me $75 now. I got on Angie's List and found two other recommended companies and called them both. Both companies give FREE estimates. I was able to set up an appointment for the next day with one place and Joe from Affordable Pest Control was able to give me a price just from the information I gave him over the phone. His price was $200 less than the one I was just quoted! Joe came out when I had the time to meet him. He could have come sooner but I was the one who had to wait longer. Joe was punctual and did a great job going around my house to spray for ants and spiders. He sprayed much more than just around the foundation and told me not to have the house drilled because that could cause problems if I ever decide to sell. He said the spray he used will kill the ants in about a week. They will track it back into their nest and kill them in a few days. I am happy I didn't have the siding drilled. Joe also noticed some problems I was having with a couple other things around the outside of the house and had people he could recommend to help me with fixing the problems. Joe is very knowledgeable and I am sorry I didn't find him sooner. I could have saved several hundred dollars if I had gotten ahold of him a few months ago!

I first phoned another company that we had used previously. The price they quoted seemed high,so I looked up exterminators on the List. I picked out Affordable Pest Control based on their reports and location. I made a phone call, and they told me what they would be doing after determining what my problem was. They arrived at the time we arranged, informed me of safety precautions for my pet, and reminded me of my 25.00 discount. I have not seen any more ants, inside or outside of the house. I will call them again if I have trouble next spring.

Matt and Joe Daley were great. I had an infestation of carpenter ants. They came on time the day after I called and looked over my job gave me a price and then went to work. I didn't have to make another appointment for the work to be done and they were half the price of the other two companies I called. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends. John showed up ten minutes early. He explained what he was going to do and then afterwards showed me what was sprayed and gave me additional advice about controling mice.

I decided to call Affordable Pest Control after doing a web search for a local contractor and also reading excellent reports from many satisfied customers on Angie's List. I was impressed right away when the owner, Joe Daley answered the phone and took the time to provide initial advice, explained how he would handle our problem with carpenter ants, and also gave me a good estimate over the phone. He is a long time expert in the field and has very reasonable rates. Joe was able to come out two days later. He did a thorough inspection and sprayed the interior problem areas including the crawlspace under our home as well as the entire outside perimeter. The chemical he used was very safe since it didn't have any odor and was no problem for our dog after it had dried. He explained how carpenter ants work, and how it would only take one ant coming in contact with the pesticide to kill an entire nest and larvae that was probably somewhere inside our walls or crawlspace. Joe explained what to expect over the next couple weeks and provided a written 3 month guarantee for the carpenter ant treatment. It's evident that Joe really cares about providing the best customer service. During his visit, he was happy to help me with an additional pest concern and related questions at no additional charge when I asked if he could tell if mice or rats might be coming into our crawlspace from outside. He didn't see any evidence, but he took the time to inspect the entire perimeter of our home looking for any possible openings and he added a barrier to a small hole in a foundation air vent to help prevent any future rodent problems. Joe also went the extra mile to provide some suggestions on additional things we could do on our own. I would definitely use Affordable Pest Control again if we ever have any further pest problems.

My husband discovered winged carpenter ants in our finished attic space. I was unhappy with the company we'd previously used (initials AE) prior to finding Angie's List. I found Affordable Pest on AL and called and left a message. My call was returned quickly and Joe of Affordable Pest came out the next day, right on time. He sprayed the nest through a small crack in the wallboard while his son sprayed the perimeter, around the foundation and up the exterior walls. They offer a 3 month guarantee and recommend coming out once a year. Good guy. Didn't push a contract or additional services. His son discovered wasp nests above our front door and they knocked those down for us as well, no additional charge. Only one small complaint and it was probably just an oversight that he forgot to mention this. The chemicals did run down some windows but it wasn't a problem as I need to have them cleaned anyway. Gave $25 AL discount. We'll use them again.

Joe knew exactly where the nest was based on our initital phone conversation. He and his son arrived earlier than the appointment time (YEA!) and completed their task quickly.

I received great information regarding controlling pests in my home, which helped me avoid an extremely expensive treatment I really didn't need and could not afford.

We've had a problem with odorous house ants for the past year. Last fall we called Affordable and Joe Daley came and provided advice and some spraying at no charge. The ants reappeared several weeks ago, and we called Joe to come again for a service call.
