Description of Work: I purchased a very heavy and bulky table saw. It's size and weighted required the use of a liftgate truck to transport it from the store to my home. Since state law prohibits rental of liftgate trucks unless you possess a CDL, I searched Angie's List. With so many moving companies booked weeks to months in advance during the summer, prospects were dim. However, Priestly & Sons found a two hour window they were available. | |They were on time and professional from start to finish. They even offered unsolicited advice how to move bulky equipment using a truck without a liftgate (and their services). Any company that offers how to save money, even if it means they might lose your future business is making a gutsy move (pun intended). It also displays a rare level of honesty and integrity. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Moved a small amount of furniture.Did not buy the insurance for the short trip and they broke an expensive glass shelf for my China cabinet.

Description of Work: We have used Priestley and Sons for years. They have moved us from house to house 3 times, and they moved out and stored our furniture etc. twice in a sewer problem. They are the best!

Description of Work: Great guys... 3 of them.. they were very careful. They only needed to move the upright piano across the road to my house. Nothing was damaged. They also moved 2 small bookcases. The cost was for one hour and they were only there for half of that. They finished all the moving at 12:30, starting at 12 and could go to 1:00. I would have preferred it if they had lowered the price to compensate for the extra half hour of moving time that was not used. However, it was big, expensive truck and 3 guys, who worked hard and did a good job, so I didn't complain. It is tough to run a private company these days. They charged a rate for use of materials in the moving as well.

Description of Work: Priestly and Sons put up with me when I had to reschedule my move a couple of times. I also had to change the date that they were to deliver my furniture to my new residence which meant that they stored my furniture for a longer time period than originally planned. They arrived at my old residence promptly. They were very professional, friendly, courteous and respectful of my belongings. They moved quickly but carefully. They took the time to wrap the front door so as not to mark it when taking furniture through it. They were very mindful of the threshold to the front door as they moved heavy items i.e., my safe across it. All items were wrapped before they were moved with shrink wrap to ensure no drawers opened and got damaged. They moved items in an orderly fashion so ensure that they would be safely loaded on the truck (what a beautiful truck it is also). This meant that they did not necessarily go room to room but instead sought out items so as to load the truck properly. Most companies I have used before go room to room and wind up having to place some of my belongings out in the street or sidewalk while they arrange the remaining load. This did NOT happen with Priestly and Sons. This company was also very mindful of my neighbors when parking the truck so as not to impede into any of common roadway. They stored my belongings for over three weeks and were very responsive to delivering my goods after Labor day holiday. My items were loaded in the morning and were immediately brought to me at my new residence which is an upstairs condo with a narrow stairwell. I have several large pieces of furniture along with the safe so this was not an easy move. At the condo Robert and his helper shrouded the handrails, my door, the entry door to the building and my door frame with pads so as not to dent or mark any of the wood. They were successful!!!! The risers to the stairwell is rather steep but they got everything moved up the stairs without dropping any of it or damaging anything at all. They were AWESOME!!! They then proceeded to make sure they moved my belongings into the rooms I wanted them to be in. They reassembled my tempur-pedic bed which is not easy. Everyone at Priestly and Sons that I came into contact with whether it was personal contact or telephonic contact treated me with nothing but respect and a willingness to please me. I have NEVER had such a nice move. I will use no one else but them in the future. I recommend them to anyone wanting to move who wants to be treated respectfully. Description of Work: I called to ask if they would be more expensive then Mayflower ($1,700) the women I spoke with was rude, didn't want to answer my question, and ended up hanging up on me. I'm so confused it seems like they would have wanted my job, considering how big of a job it is.

Description of Work: We had Priestley & Sons do a full move for us. They packed our belongings up and boxed and wrapped items and loaded them into the trucks then unloaded at our new home. We did not have them unpack. We have a two bedroom with extensive basement contents. They moved the majority of our items from our old home to our new one, but they also took some items to a storage facility for us.
