G's Concrete Inc

First, Gerardo is very busy, at least in the summer. He was prompt to come out to look at the driveway, but jobs were backed up 8 weeks, which was fine. The driveway had been a problem for years, since it slopes down to the garage and the drain for the rain runoff had a very small opening which clogged easily. This was cured by the crew removing and repouring an approximately 16x 5 ft area and installing a long drain opening. It now functions very well even with the downpour we had recently and looks great!

G was a little difficult to reach to get the estimate scheduled, but he came when he said he was going to. He was very professional. His bid was competitive, but we ended up using another contractor who our neighbors had used.

They did an outstanding marvelous job! They were among the lowest priced and their work was exceptional. I had a lot of neighbors who had concrete done by other companies and was dissatisfied with it. They have stopped by to ask who I had the work done with. They were quick and also quickly made adjustments when I thought that something wasn’t right. G’s was so busy that it took a month of time for him to get back to me. He does have a large work load and takes a bit of time to get back to you. However, he and his workers do a good job and I would hire him again without a doubt.

G's Concrete was very professional and responsive. "G" showed up when he said he would, stayed in touch with me while the work was being done, gave a fair estimate, and his crew did a beautiful job on my driveway. I have already recommended him to others.

1 day later than the target date because of extra work but it all worked out. At one point there were 6 guys hauling out the broken up old concrete and others framing. Job too two days but was done excellent and looks good.

Fabulous to work with these guys. They were professional and kept everything very clean.

Great, team was professional answered all our questions. Let us know in advanced the time delay in services due to scheduling. It was worth waiting the few weeks because they did an excellent job!

Gerardo and his crew excavated and put up the forms on 6/27/13. The City of Gresham came out the next day and approved the forms and singed off on our permits. Gerardo and his crew returned today to pour and finish the concrete. They still need to remove forms but I am sure that all well go well as they have been great this far.

Wow, I called for a bid and he came out a few days later to look at what I needed. He told me that I needed to have the edges of the trench cut, before he could pour. The trench had been badly jack-hammered so he recommended " A Cut Above " concrete cutting, to cut the edges of the trench straight (and they were the best at that ). Gerardo said he was about five weeks out and I asked to be put on a rainy day schedule. I kept in contact, with e-mails and prayed for rain. I got a call from Gerardo on Monday night wanting to look at the job again, he came over. The next morning he called and said he would be at my house in a few hours to do the job. I thought it was never going to rain, but it it was raining the day he poured. It rained rain and good fortune, because I got a fantastic, excellent job. The crew worked as a great team and Gerardo worked with them and addressed all my concerns. Gerardo checked with me to see the prep work was done right, before the concrete was poured. My concern was that the concrete would settle and make a dip in the floor. He had put rebar into the sides of the old concrete to hold the new concrete at the same level. They knew what to do and went right to work, and didn't waste any time. I loved the fact that they didn't feel the need to bring their (Boom Box) "they were there to work". They were very careful of my home and very neat in cleaning up after the work was done. The job went so efficiently smooth I was amazed. Save your self the heart ache and just hire "G's" concrete to do your job right . G's concrete is the only company I would ever work with and will recommend them to everyone who wants a job of excellent's As a person I would say "Gerardo" is an honest, fair, thoughtful, considerate, polite, caring, hardworking, gentleman. I'm so blessed to have found such a wonderful person as Gerardo. He is a man of his word, a true professional and it shows in how he works and in the quality of his work. Thank You, & Bless You

They were excellent, and exceeded my expectations on pricing, and quality of the work. I would recommend them to others, and already have.

We found them on Angie's List. The price was reasonable. He was punctual and did an excellent job.

The crew showed up on time on schedule. The work was completed in one day. The workers worked steadily and were polite. They checked with me to see how I would like the expansion joints placed (I deferred to their best judgement). I used to be a construction laborer and I would see this as a first rate crew and a first rate experience. They cleaned up as clean as possible after the concrete placement, although the forms and weather protection needed to stay in place for several days. That's the nature of the material. Gerardo said they would return in a week to remove the forms and weather protection. However, being an old laborer and familiar with the work, I opted to remove them myself after three days. This was my own decision and no reflection on the contractor. I would definitely use G's Concrete again.

Job completed as promised, without a hitch.

It went very well. It looks GREAT! Haven't had a huge rain yet to test the drain, but it looks like it will work like it is supposed to.

This is the second project we've had G do for us. The first was a patio attached to the house and sidewalk going around one muddy side of the yard. This time we had him add a side patio onto the other patio and sidewalk going around the other side of the yard. We can now walk around the entire house in the backyard without wader boots on! It is totally gorgeous. G and his crew do an excellent job and thoroughly clean up afterwards. The estimate was right on, as before, and we are absolutely thrilled.

They did really impressive work. They were fast and very polite. We even had an issue come up with our huge trees (couldn't cut the roots), and they had to raise the sidewalk up 8 inches and pour an extra section up to our concrete steps. I thought for sure they would ask for more money for the extra unforeseen work, but nope. They just " got er done'.

G was always easy to contact, either by phone or email. He was prompt, polite and honest. The day the work began, he phoned me an half hour prior to arrival, which was really nice. He and his workers had all the tools and materials they needed to get straight to work. They worked quickly and didn't mind that our dog was occasionally barking at them through the glass door (sorry!). The work was 100% complete in 2 days. They left as swiftly as they came, taking all left over materials, etc. with them. My yard was left in great shape. We cleaned up nothing! They did it all. The patio is amazing. It is exactly the right size and perfectly square. They "tied" the new concrete to the existing concrete with rebar so that they would not separate in years to come. It also slopes ever so slightly away from the house so that rain water does not pool. The cost was actually less that I thought, since G included an Angie's List discount (without me even asking!).

Last year we hired G's Concrete to add a walk way to the house and they also added a parking strip on the side of the house. This year we had them come back to replace the ugly driveway. They arrived early to tear out the driveway and by the end of the day we had a beautiful new driveway. G's team is awesome, they are prompt, courteous and efficient. Next, we have a patio to replace! Thank you G, for your affordable and quality work.

G was always quick to respond to calls or emails, very helpful in the design of the patio and steps, and always extremely professional and on time for work. We have been under major construction for the last 8 months, using every kind of construction/service provider you and think of, and with the exception of our closet person, none of them have matched G and his crew. Due to delays with other construction workers, G had to split this job and change the design of the job. Despite a very large change order to the original bid, he never charged us extra and was extremely flexible with working around others to finish the job. He showed up at the beginning of each day to make sure we were all on the same page for the design and pour and his crew was always waiting for me to return after work to make sure I had the opportunity to personally review their work and was satisfied with the job. Both G and his crew were timely, polite, courteous, and overall extremely pleasurable to work with. G and his crew were a bright spot in an otherwise long and frustrating project. I highly recommend Gerardo and G's Concrete.

The experience was great and we're very happy with the finished product.

We suspect that G's Concrete Inc does not like small jobs, but it would have been nice if he hadn't strung us along. We needed the walkway to the front door of our home done. We asked him to give us an estimate for both a repair and a replace. He gave us a "verbal" idea but never a written estimate for either. He said that if we wanted a repair, it would take many, many months to come out, but nothing definite. He was available to replace much sooner. The impression was, he was trying to talk us into a replace. We told him, the last time we spoke with him, that we would prefer to do a repair. Seems he didn't want much to do with us after that as he would not return our calls. We ended up having the walkway replaced by another concrete contractor.

He left behind no mess and left everything in better shape than when he arrived.

G's Concrete was truly amazing. They called a fews days earlier than expected and said the weather was going to be good tomorrow, would we like to have the work done early. We were delighted. 2 workers arrived at 7:55 and reviewed with my husband and I what we wanted and observed any challenges. One 40 foot fir tree was nearby so we agreed to skirt the exposed root. When the first two fellows completed their work, additional workers came and each seemed to know exactly what to do and were very efficient. The concrete arrived by 2 p.m. and by 3:30 the men were doing the finish work on the concrete. The checked in with us occasionally to make sure it was going as we had hoped. They cleaned up after themselves, and came back the next day to remove the frames for the concrete. G's Concrete is the type of contractor you dream of. They listen to what you want, they offer suggestions but respect your wishes. We plan to ask them to expand our patio area next year. My advice to others: they ARE WONDERFULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In addition to Angie's list, G's concrete was recommended by another contractor who was too busy to bid on our work. Mr. Herrera, the owner, came out to inspect the site, but then we never received a bid. When I called him, he said he had emailed the bid to me and would send it again, but after verifying my email address, we never received a bid. I sent multiple emails and left voice mails to tell him we had not received a bid. I received one voice mail from Mr. Herrera asking if we had received the bid, almost as if he had never seen any of my earlier messages. I replied with two more emails, an attempted voice mail but his in-box was full, and a message left on his website, but I never heard from him again. We eventually hired another contractor.

Forms set one day and poured on next dry day. Results -- perfect
