Positive Recommendation for Distinctive Enterprises and Carlos Muñoz We contacted Carlos of Distinctive Enterprises in mid-June to bid on painting our home. He responded quickly with a bid which was a slightly higher than others I received. He agreed to match a competing bid and we agreed on a timeline for our project. The Distinctive Enterprises promotional materials were professional and provided good information. Before beginning the project, we had several discussions about paint color options and Carlos made several recommendations. His observations were helpful in finalizing our choices. Distinctive Enterprises is a local family business, one of the factors which positively influenced our decision. When painting day arrived Carlos and his brothers were nothing short of excellent. They seemed to work well together and each seemed to know what the others were doing and had a good approach to the entire project. Efficient and effective are two of the best descriptors I can think of to describe their work. About a week after the project was completed, I noticed an area of concern on one part of the house. Carlos did an excellent job of follow-up and came out to do the appropriate touchup. The Distinctive Enterprises website talks about their commitment to “Unsurpassed service and reliability”. Carlos and his team more than lived up to that description. We are very pleased with the entire project. From our initial meeting through cleanup and professional follow-up, our experience was outstanding. We would gladly recommend them.

Carlos and his brothers did a perfect job. I could not be happier and I would hire them again or recommend them without hesitation. Carlos kept me informed of plans throughout the process. Don't get turned off if Carlos appears to be brief in his text messages or responses to phone calls. He is extremely friendly and easy to work with in person. We needed to have the exterior of our house repainted & found Distinctive Enterprises & Painting through Angie's List. They had great reviews so I requested a bid. The owner Carlos set up time to see my our house & was right on time. I found him to be knowledgeable, personable & very organized. The bid he gave me was right in between the low & high bids I got. My husband & I decided to go with his business because he was patient with my many questions & always responded quickly. I asked him if they could get it done by early October at the latest & he said he would try. Well, he & his brothers started doing the pressure washing on 9/19 & completed the job on 9/21--beyond our expectations! They were quiet, respectful, punctual & did an excellent job painting & cleaning up. We will definitely use them for our next project & I highly recommend them! Very contented with the work done on our house. We have the exterior wall and front & back doors cleaned and painted with new colors. Carlos and his brothers are very friendly and hard-working people. All the communications ran smoothly and I didn't expect they scheduled a date so quick after we agreed on the bid. We could not be happier with the results. The team was prompt, did superior work and finished when they predicted. We were so happy with their work that we had Carlos come to our home several days ago to give us an estimate.

In a word, spectacular. Carlos and his brothers are true professionals. Our home is a 90 plus year old stucco two story house. First they power washed the house and allowed it to dry for 24 hours. On day one the prepped the house, making repairs where needed, caulked the windows, removed two screen doors, all of the window screens and masked areas to allow painting the trim before the main color. Part of the project was to paint a wrought iron balcony with a third color. In addition to the house they also refinished our wood fence. The project took about 6 days to complete, some days they worked well over 12 hours. The attention to detail was very impressive, every inch of the house was examined and spot painted where needed. All items removed before painting began were reinstalled. They even moved the dirt around the foundation back to the way it was before they painted. All surfaces received two coats of premium paint, The stucco was sprayed, back rolled and allowed to dry before the second coat was applied. The result is the surface evenly covered and should last a long time. Carlos and his brother constantly asked if we were pleased and asked where we wanted the three colors applied when there was a decision necessary. The crew cleaned up each evening and did a final thorough clean up the last day, cleaning all drips and left the property in perfect condition. This is not the first house we have had painted, the workmanship and desire to satisfy was more than I expected even after reading all of the glowing reviews Distinctive Enterprises has received on Aggies list and other sites I researched. The price was fair, not inexpensive but well worth the cost. Carlos is very easy to work with, from the estimate to completion he was happy to answer all questions and provide valuable suggestions. The next time we need painting done, inside or outside we now have found a reliable, quality company.

Carlos and his highly experienced team painted the exterior of our two story home. The results were beautiful! In three days, they transformed our house and we couldn't be happier. They are warm, professional, punctual, solid communicators, and great attention to detail. Our neighbors frequently walked by to stare at the transformation. We had the entire interior of our home repainted including doors, trim, ceilings, walls, and closets. Distinctive Enterprises painted our home in sections so that we were able to move into one section while they worked on another section and live in our home throughout the project. It was a bit slower than if they did it the traditional way of painting all the ceilings first, then the trim, etc. but this method made the experience much better for us. This process demonstrated excellent planning based on an understanding of our needs. The company is family-owned so the person who makes the promises is the person who delivers on those promises. Throughout the entire two-week process, they treated us, our home, and our possessions with respect. We enjoyed working with them and cannot say enough good things about the quality of their craftsmanship. We highly recommend them.

Excellent, the job was completed a day before the original estimate. Carlos was always on time and kept me updated throughout the project. Aside from painting he also filled and fixed nail holes in the walls. It was all very well done.

Carlos and his crew did exemplary work on painting the exterior of our home. They truly did a flawless job, which isn't necessarily easy on an older home as our home was built in 1890. Their attention to detail is really impressive. There is not one little detail that they missed and they went over and above to paint every little exterior vent cover so our house looks great! We were also really impressed that they were able to remove the frames for our aluminum storm windows that we had tried to remove ourselves and thought were permanently stuck. It made our old wood windows look great. They also worked really fast and were done with the project in only a few days. They even did extra things like trimming tree branches away from our chimney that were in the way of their painting, yet they didn't charge us extra for this service even though it probably would have been fair for them to charge for this. The price was also very fair and was considerably less than the other two bids we had received. Carlos and his whole crew were all very polite and friendly and left the exterior of our home cleaner than when they started. I would hire Carlos again in a heartbeat and we have already recommended him to friends. Great experience!

The company was easy to schedule with and communicated with us frequently. All of the employees were professional and had a strong work ethic. We have a lot of vegetation in the flower beds and they were careful not to damage anything. The quality of the workmanship is very high. Carlos made sure that he communicated with us during the day so that we knew what to expect for the rest of the workdays. They cleaned up everyday after they finished. They even pressure washed our carport as an extra service when they were done so it looked as clean as the newly painted house.

Job was great and they showed up on time and got everything done in one day. Very pleasant and easy to work with. Had vaulted ceiling done as well as walls in great room, kitchen and hall. I purchased the paint myself. Would definitely hire again!

Carlos Munoz came out last fall to look at our project. He seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. He promptly sent us an offer, and after comparing with other companies, we accepted his bid, letting him know that we would like the job to be completed this spring. His crew arrived to power wash about a week before the scheduled job was to begin. Carlos contacted us to let us know that he and his crew would come Thursday, May 22, 2019 to begin work. He arrived promptly and made sure that he understood our wishes for paint colors. He and his crew worked long and hard that day, and they returned on May 28th to complete the job. We are very pleased with the result of their work. This is a family operation, and everyone on the crew seemed very competent and pleasant. We will definitely call them when we need further work done on our home.

We had some wall and ceiling repair that turned into a bigger project than anticipated, and Carlos was very gracious and flexible as the other workers finished their work. The crew was punctual, courteous and thorough. In addition to the walls and living room ceiling, the hardwood moldings, doors, and railings were sanded and painted, and they look like new!
