Carlos and his co-worker did a fabulous job from start to finish. Because they were spray painting, they took alot of time enclosing and taping the areas they were working on to minimize any overspray. We had alot of cracks in our cabinets and they meticulously puttied and sanded prior to painting. Carlos made we were satisifed with their work and would re-do anything we had concerns with. Very high work ethic. We would definitely hire them again.

Our rooms were a mess due to another painter who claimed more than he could deliver. Carlos had to overcome the horrible mess the previous "painter" created. And, he did it excellently. He told me he would be here at 7:30 and he was here on the minute and had his gear all packed up our front stairs. Carlos works hard and is an excellent painter. He repaired all the damage the other painter did along with damage cause by our dog's claws. By 4:30 the job was complete and the switch plates all screwed back on--nice and neat. Carlos did an excellent job and I would use him again anytime. He told me he loves painting and it shows in his work. Walt Vogt

My bathroom walls were a mess. The top half of the walls are the original plaster and lathe and the bottom are dry wall. A previous owner had covered the seam with some ugly molding and shelves. I pulled those off and tried to level the two halves of the walls with drywall mud. I applied layer after layer of mud but couldn't get the walls level. Originally, I called Carlos to apply texture to the walls in order to mask the patching. He advised that texture wouldn't look good on top of all the patching and recommended leveling the walls with a layer of plaster. He refined some of my patching, leveled with plaster and then painted. The walls look great. One would never know how lumpy and uneven they were just a few weeks ago.

I was extremely pleased with the quality and speed of his work. He showed up on time and went right to work. I will use Carlos again as soon as I need any type of painting and would recommend him with no hesitation.

He was punctual, clean, and careful. The work product was extremely well done. He not only painted the complete interior of both 1400sqft units, but he re-applied lacquer to several of the cabinets. His pricing was very reasonable, and again the work itself was outstanding!

I wrote to Distinctive Enterprises through angieslist.com and Carlos contacted me within a week. We met at my house on a Tuesday afternoon and he sent me an estimate that night. Thursday the company was at my house by 8 a.m. to pressure wash and Saturday they came to paint.

We had an 850sqft rental house painted. Carlos was great! The house needed a lot of prep work before it could be painted. There was siding that needed to be replaced and a lot of scrapping and pressure washing. He did a beautiful job and sealed everything. It really came out looking beautiful. I would highly recommend Carlos.

Carlos was on time the day he was scheduled to do the work. I really was pleased that he was the one who did the job and did not send someone else to do the work for him. He purchased the paint, which was the correct color I requested and gave me his discount. He protected the furniture, carpet and cabinets with tarp and plastic. He was neat and takes pride in his work. My dog really liked him too because the next morning, Jake waited for Carlos by the front door. I would hire Carlos again for the type of work he does.

We hired Carlos and Distinctive Enterprises to remove the wallpaper from our 2 guest bathrooms, prep and paint the walls. The wallpaper was a challenge to remove and we travel quite a bit for work, so the project was extended for about 2 months. We discussed the schedule in advance and agreed to the timeframe. It did, however, make the project more challenging. Carlos did a fabulous job of repairing the wall where the wallpaper was difficult to remove and the prep of all the other walls is impeccable. Carlos taped up the fixtures and covered everything well. His painting is beautiful and his judgment is good. He made several recommendations about color, which we took and are happy with the results. I would definitely use him again and feel comfortable recommending him to anyone looking for a painter. Immediately after he finished the bathrooms, we asked him if he would take a look at some outside window sills that needed repair. He accepted the job and came back the following week for the work. He did a great job. We are very pleased with his work.

Carlos was quick to return my call to provide and estimate and was eager to work on the project. I received bids from 3 different companies and it was very hard to select one because I think they were all reputable and would have done a great job. Carlos showed up at the appointed time. The job took 3 or 4 days to complete and Carlos was always prompt and cleaned up at the end of the day. I am very satisfied with the project. I had picked out some paint colors that did not look as good as I thought on the ceiling/walls and Carlos was very accomodating in getting new colors.

Carlos and his helper Tito came promptly to give an estimate. Their solution was much more creative and less expensive than other contractors (repairing rather than replacing shingles). They came even before they said they would, knowing how anxious I was to get the work done, and finished the job in an efficient and tidy manner. The roof was re-inspected after their work and got high marks from the inspector.

Carlos came out and gave a bid on the same day that I phoned. He started the job the following week and finished in 2 days. He was polite, and cleaned up after himself. When he left you would not know that he had been here except for the new paint.

It was a great experience. Carlos came out immediately for an estimate and then was able to schedule the work on the date I requested. He was able to complete the job in 2 days. He was very professional and cleaned up after the job. I was very pleased and highly recommend his work.

The exterior paint on my house was in bad shape and I needed it to look great for selling the house. Carlos gave me his very competitive bid as an attachment to an email, which I really appreciated. He consistently showed up when he said he would, worked very efficiently and cleanly and cleaned up after himself completely. His work was immaculate. I do not live in the house, he sent me photos via email of his progress, something I had not asked for nor expected. He was unfailingly polite and pleasant, eager to work and a real delight personally. I can highly recommend his work - he subsequently did work for my boyfriend; inside painting and outside, same great results.

I had such a great experience with Carlos on our interior job that I hired him to paint the exterior too. As with the interior, he carefully prepared the surfaces. He also protected the plants and ground before painting. He works efficiently, cleanly and meticulously - did such a nice job staining the front door. He really knows what he is doing. In addition, he is very pleasant and respectful.

I am a real do it yourself kind of guy and started to paint the interior of my house myself. The walls of most rooms weren't a problem, but the popcorn ceilings were a nightmare! Almost impossible to tell where you are, get it too wet and it falls off, don't get enough paint and it just soaks it up, spray and/or roll?? ARGH! I was referred to Carlos who came and gave a very reasonable quote to do this miserable job (miserable for me that is!). He was very pleasant and professional, showed up when he said he would, very carefully prepared the room, and had the job done beautifully, cheerfully, in no time. I'm an engineer, he met my meticulous standards, and, saved my sanity no doubt!

Carlos did an excellent job staining the bay window. I was incredibly happy with the work he had done on the window. He did a great job on the bathroom paint. We had to ask him to correct a couple of areas where the texturing on the wall needed repaired. He did this immediately upon our request. I would definitely use him again for interior painting and staining. I would do a more complete review with him on trouble areas that need special attention so that he does not have to come back to fix anything.

Carlos moved all of the items close to the house, (which slipped our minds and we neglected to do it ourselves) covered our landscaping to protect it and got to work. He worked diligently even in a rain storm! I let him know that we didn't mind if he returned another day when it was more pleasant to work but he wanted to make sure to complete the project quickly. He worked late to bag up all the moss that had fallen from our roof. He paid great attention to detail, was so pleasant to work with and charged a very fair rate. I would recommend him highly!!!

My daughter's former bedroom was riddled with nail holes from her teen years. I had started to prep the room myself and quickly determined this was beyond my endurance. Carlos was referred to me by another party and came over to my home within 30 minutes of the phone call on a Saturday. He did an exceptional job, worked steady until the project was completed that same day and thoroughly cleaned up when finished. Carlos even took before and after photos which he sent me via e-mail. I would have put them on this site, but that is beyond my technological capabilities. I would highly recommend Carlos to anyone, as his work ethic and professional painting were exceptional.

We were very impressed with Carlos the owner. He is extremely professional, friendly and cares about ensuring that his customers are satisfied. We had a painting project which included removal of old wallpaper which was stuck and very difficult to remove. Behind the wallpaper were some deep holes and gaps were exposed. I had initially wanted to put 1 coat of primer and 1 coat of paint. Carlos expertly recommended two coats of each and I am so glad I followed his experience and advice. As we began to pick our colors and paint types, we had some questions, we were able to reach Carlos, the owner, through phone & email, both of which were responded to immediately. Carlos went over and above to make sure we were happy with the job. Carlos was FANTASTIC! And we look forward to hiring him again.
