Carlos and another crew member came out a few days prior and thoroughly power washed the house. A few days later, they returned and started prepping for the big paint job. They transformed our house and made it look better than we ever expected. We are incredibly pleased by their professionalism and work ethic. We highly recommend them and will have them come back soon for our interior project.

Carlos returned my call within hours and arrived promptly for our initial review of the job. I received a written bid within two days and his price was somewhat lower than the competition. It was late in the season and we were all concerned about weather conditions, but Carlos followed the weather reports and his crew arrived when there were several fair days predicted. They completely pressure washed the house protecting our bushes and working around our honeybees with skill. The crew was polite and good humored and returned for the painting work accompanied by Carlos who had carefully matched paint colors and sheen (despite the fact that we had given him an unmatched sample). One of the painters worked from an uncomfortable angle to avoid damaging our solar panels. We left the crew on the job as we drove off on a short vacation. The crew moved ladders and equipment to facilitate our quick departure from the garage where they were working. When we returned the job was done and the house looked good. We did see a west facing beam that looked rough so we called Carlos who showed up the next day and completely sanded, reprimed and repainted it without question. We picked up a little tape in the yard and returned a couple of lawn ornaments to their original spots, and we have our peaceful home and yard in order only three weeks from our initial phone call. Our final bill matched the quote.

Carlos and his team did a great job. They arrived when promised, were very professional. They stripped the wallpaper from a large kitchen and dining area, plastered the walls to perfection. They also did a great job sanding and priming older oak cabinets with a deep grain. Only occasionally can you see the grain through the cabinets. We painted them white and it looks amazing. We also painted the island black and it took a bit longer to dry, hence why they didn't finish on time. We were about a week later than promised...not their fault...the paint and the wet weather didn't help anything. They were always professional, did extra work for us that we paid for when asked and did a great job cleaning up afterwards.

Carlos and his company Distinctive Enterprises was referred to us by a friend who was a very satisfied customer. Carlos replied promptly to our inquiries thankfully because we had procrastinated till September in getting our house painted. He quickly provided an estimate which I thought was very reasonable and said he could do the work the very next week which saved us because the weather was quickly deteriorating. As a former carpenter and current contractor myself, I was impressed with the level of quality initially in the prep work. As any contractor or person who knows will tell you .... a good paint job is largely based on the quality of the prep. From then on the level of quality stayed consistently superb, with a high quality paint (Duration by Sherwin Williams), excellent cut-in work and good lines all around because of the excellent masking job throughout. I was especially pleased by the fact that after everything was done, Carlos came out himself and double checked that the bottom edge of the siding had been painted and sealed all the way around and that not a spot had been missed which was of special importance to me, turned out it was for him too. We're very happy and it's nice to know a reasonably priced, quality painter and quality guy to be able to refer to our friends when needed. Thank you Carlos!

They did an excellent job at a fair price. Carlos was willing to include the deck railings in the price quote, which was much appreciated. They were recommended by a neighbor and I was glad I hired them. It was raining off and on during the week, and I was quite worried about this as I had taken the week off work to have this exterior painting completed. They were great about doing everything they could to complete the job during the time available weather wise. Carlos kept me informed of the plan on a daily basis. They were punctual, professional. They were careful and considerate. They were understanding and considerate about my dog. Everything was clean and perfect at the finish with attention to detail. I would definitely recommend them.

Did great, washed and painted house in a couple of days and could have been done sooner if it wasn't for weather. Worked very hard and never took breaks. Did a great job.When completed everyone in the neighborhood has complimented on it. Did 2 coats

Carlos did excellent work. I was very pleased There was only one bump and that related to the need to renegotiate the cost of painting the kitchen cabinets as we got into it. There was fake wood in the panel of the cabinets which required extra work to treat and paint. That cost was not in the original fee for the kitchen so there had to be a renegotiation. I wished we had gone over expectations better at the start of the job in the kitchen. Next time I would proceed a little more cautiously to make sure I understood the details of the work in order to anticipate any bumps so we could be on the same page at the beginning. Other than this, I would highly recommend Carlos and Distinctive Enterprises. He did a great job and it was done expeditiously.

It went fine, Carlos was very nice and very prompt, and he did a nice job. The price was very expensive.

Before Carlos came (to save time) I pre-cleaned a lot of the painting surfaces and removed all my outlet covers and window coverings including blinds. This allowed them easy access to remove the old calk around the windows and recalk them. This was not something Carlos asked me to do ahead of time, but I did it to save time because I was trying to get my house on the market quickly. Carlos and his team were always on time and very professional. He was very trustworthy and someone I enjoyed having in my home. When I had to go out of town I completely felt comfortable leaving them with my garage door opener so they could come in and finish the job. Since I was not home to check everything when they finished (I've very picky) he came back and touched up every area I asked him too a different time the following week for no additional charge. He seemed happy to come back even though it required an extra trip for him. I think it his number one priority to make sure customers are happy with his work. His bid was very competitive and actually almost half the cost of another popular painter from Angie's list. I definitely recommend getting a few estimates (I got three) and comparing them! I was so happy to get someone who was friendly, nice and who did such a great job at a wonderful price! Within a few weeks of Carlos painting my house I put it on the market. I had three offers in the first 36 hours and we ended up closing well above asking price. I strongly believe the wonderful paint job had a lot to do with the quick sell of our home. Before you choose a painter, I highly recommend at least getting an estimate from Carlos!

Carlos went above and beyond what we were expecting. He was not happy with how the pressure washer alone was doing the stamped concrete, so he rented a special attachment (like a large circular floor scrubber) and used that first and then pressure washed. Was here most of the day. We mainly wanted the dirt and moss/mildew/algae/green stuff removed, no staining of the deck or sealing of the concrete to be done by him. He did an EXCELLENT job. We have hired his company before -- to paint the outside of our house -- and they did a very good job then, also. I highly recommend him and his company.

On 5/1 at about 3pm, I called Distinctive Enterprises and Painting and left a message requesting a call back about an estimate on repainting the exterior of my house. Carlos called me back at about 5:30pm and made an appointment to come out to the house the next day between 3:30 and 4pm. On 5/2 at about 11:30am, Carlos called me and asked if he could come by the house earlier (between noon and 12:15pm.) I agreed. Carlos arrived on time and we did a walk-around the house, discussing the job and possible paint color schemes. He advised me that he would email me an estimate soon - most likely on Friday or Saturday. On Sunday, I received an estimate from Carlos.He was responsive and professional but in the end, I chose to accept a different bid.

He was rot on time. He was very polite and worked very fast. He was very pleasant man to speak with. He did a great job and cleaned up after himself. You would not even know that he came. I would recommend him to everything.

Everything went perfect from start to finish. He even pointed out a problem that we caused and corrected it without issue.

I contacted to Carlos to see about getting a bid. He was very prompt, professional, and friendly. I explained to him that it was a rental house and I wanted to get everything the same color. I told him I did not want to have the ceilings painted but wanted the color to match closely. He said that it would not be a problem. After decideing to hire his company they were very prompt in starting the work, they even finshed a day earlier then planned. The job looked great when they were done. After a couple weeks had passed I noticed a couple of areas that needed some touch up, or had been missed. Carlos was quick to respond and fix any areas that I had concern about. This was after he had already been paid for the job as well. He stated numerous times that he wanted to make sure I was 100% happy with his work. I also appreciated the fact that he rembered our names. Carlos was great to work with and we would definately use him again.

Carlos is punctual and professional. He and his assistant got quickly to work and completed the job in one day. I was not there when they finished. So Carlos came back and did a few minor touch-ups. (The touch-ups only took about 10 minutes, but Carlos cheerfully completed them. He also made sure a had some paint for my own touch-ups.) The job looks great.

It went very well. Carlos and his crew did a very through job of pressure washing, preparing (caulking, plastic sheeting over windows, protecting shrubs, etc.). They put the paint on heavy, but not so heavy that it ran. They do "2 coats" -- spray it on quite heavy and then backroll it into the wood. Previous paint job (NOT by them!) had not been very even, so they had alot of places that needed extra work to get it to look right. They did a beautiful job. Cleaned up very well after the work was done. We have an interior painting project coming up and will definitely use them for that.

Carlos was very professional and paid close attention to detail. The work was done exactly as discussed and the room was left clean and tidy. He didn't rush the job and it shows in the results. I would definitely hire this company again!

The project took ten days. Carlos and his crew masked almost every surface in the house, taking particular care with floors,furniture, doors and cabinets. They removed popcorn texture from the ceilings as well as wallpaper and wood trim throughout the house. Once detailed patching and prep were completed, all ceilings and walls were retextured and painted. We chose 3 colors of paint in addition to white for the ceilings. The work was done to our satisfaction in a highly professional and timely manner. Distinctive Enterprises made sure to do an extremely thorough cleaning of the entire house one the project was complete. We will hire them again for other projects and are confident they will do an excellent job.

I called several companies to get estimates on painting the exterior of my house. Carlos was the first to return my call, and I liked him immediately upon meeting him and felt comfortable with him. I decided to go with him mainly because of that. He and his crew showed up exactly when he said they would, and all the guys were very professional and pleasant to be around. The job was completed in 2 days, which was pretty quick as the house is not that small. Carlos got me the EXACT color I asked for, which was important to me, because it was an unusual color. When the job was finished, the guys cleaned everything up, and left no trace that they were there, except for a beautifully painted purple house with dazzling white trim. I would not hesitate to recommend Carlos and his team, they are top notch! Gracias Carlos!

In May 2010 we chose Carlos Munoz, along with two other painting contractors from Angie's List, to bid our popcorn ceiling removal, brocading and interior painting. Carlos had the best price, plus he covered walls, floors and furniture very well with plastic.We are a bit fussy, but he did whatever was needed to please us. He was always very punctual, showing up when he said he would. Also was very pleasant and professional. We would use him again- in fact, we did! He also did some exterior painting for us in September. We were pleased with that also. Two thumbs up!

Carlos and his brother were well organized, efficient and professional. They asked us to walk around the house when they were finished and when we saw an area that needed more attention, they re-did it to our satisfaction. Our house and shed look great, and they were so careful, that even my flower beds remained intact and look good.

As far as the walls it looks fine. When it comes to the trim-not good at all. I have expensive trim and mouldings around fireplace. This was brought to Carlos's attention when he came to give bid. I stress that this was expensive and I didn't want any paint on it, that is why I hired a professional. His attention to detail was not good. Where he dripped or got paint on trim he just washed off with dry rag causing smudged paint on trim. Other places he did not clean up. Will be happy to show to anyone. Now I have to have trim all re-done. Other areas that were taped with masking tape took the top coat off-I discussed this with him and he said he would put clear back on, he did not. Why would you use masking tape on natural clear coat trim, anyway. I had to have him go back and repaint areas he missed. He said the light color was from the previous painter- I said the wall was painted and the trim put on after so there was not one drop of paint on the trim-couldn't have happened. He ask me if I was unhappy- I said I hired a professional and I should not have to tell you how to do your job because it upsets me with confrontation. The doors were done free-handed and knobs not taken off-I discussed this with him too and didn't like his answer-we discussed during the bid process-they were to be taken off. I am a novice painter and know that I could have done this job myself. Anyone who wants to contact me from Angie's list may do so or they can come over to my house and I will be glad to show them. I am at this point very sick over the trim issues. As far as the paint on the wall it is fine-however I do not believe there was two coats put on as stated in contract. I brought this up too and he said there was. Two coats means to me = first coat put on and allowed to dry, then second coat goes on after dried. I had too much paint left over and asked four painters how much paint would it need and they all came up with same answer-so why the leftover paint? How can you resolve the damage that has been done? I cannot, so now I have got to live with it and accept my stupitity for not picking the right painter to do detail and careful work on my trim. Please, be very careful who you pick for painting-even if they have glowing remarks on Angie's List as this doesn't mean they are bad painters but not good at detail work.

Carlos was prompt in getting back to me, coming to give me an estimate, and coming to work with his brother. They showed up at 7:30 sharp and got right to work. They did a good job of masking and protecting the furniture and cabinets in the rooms and laying tarps on the floor. They were quiet and courteous while they worked. They got finished about 2:30 after removing all the tape and covers and making sure everything was clean. They left the areas where they worked clean as they found them. I was very pleased with their work, which would have taken me days to do, and I don?t think I could do the high area above the stairs.
