Carlos and his crew were exceptional. They listened carefully to what was needed and provided excellent advice and very professional work. The project was done in good time, despite extra complications, including snow, the holidays, and working with another company that stripped our wallpaper and prepared the walls for painting. I'm doing a bit more cleanup than I expected, but it's well worth it. The house is beautiful!

Carlos was able to get the job done with only a few days notice. He came by immediately to scope the job, and was there with his crew bright and early a few days later. He and his team were professional, honest, and quick! They did a great job. Not much more you can ask for. I will definitely hire Carlos in the future.

We are very pleased with the masterful job that Carlos and his 2 brothers did painting the exterior of our house. In our pre-bid walkaround Carlos answered all my questions and made several recommendations that showed his impressive experience, knowledge, and interest in doing a quality job and this distinguished his company from others. His bid gave a very detailed description of the work and his price was quite reasonable. His team was always professional, courteous, prompt, and attentive to detail. Carlos started the process by sending a Sherwin-Williams color consultant to advise on color schemes and answer any color and paint-related questions. This advice was very helpful to us and a confidence builder, because selecting new house/trim/door colors from small paint ‘chips’ can be very tricky. The next step was to thoroughly pressure wash the house from top to bottom. After waiting a few days to dry out, they began extensive prep work which was meticulous and included scraping areas that had flaking paint, smoothing rough spots, prepping bare spots with a special bonding primer, removing old cracked caulking, and very carefully caulking all windows, doors, holes, and corners. They worked methodically and were very well organized, neat, and precise. They carefully removed exterior light fixtures and masked the outlets and all exterior hardware. Carlos also replaced an exterior drier vent and removed an old alarm box (with some difficulty) which was up high near the roof peak of the second floor. They applied two coats of paint over the house siding, trim, gutters, and 3 doors. They also painted the chimney box and a 4 foot roof vent. Carlos was very responsive and promptly did the few minor touchups I requested. After painting, they cleaned up carefully and left the job site looking immaculate. We have already received several compliments on the beautiful paint job from neighbors. We are very happy with the excellent results and absolutely recommend Distinctive Enterprises.

I really don't like leaving negative reviews. When Carlos came out to take a look around for the quote he was very professional and nice. He came on a Friday, said he would deliver the quote that weekend. I waited over a week and never received anything. I tried calling but got voice mail and my call was never returned. I can only assume he didn't want the job, which is fine, but I wish he would've let me know. Even an email to say he didn't want the job would've been better than no communication at all. I've since hired another contractor that I'm happy with so it all worked out but, sadly, I would have to say I won't be recommending this company to others.

This is the second house I've used Carlos and his company Distinctive Enterprises to paint. I've been a contractor in the building industry for 40 years and have seen many contractors of all trades in action. I could tell on my daughters house that Carlos knew what he was doing and had a conscientious and very talented crew working with him. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, the trim work superb and the prep and cleanup was perfect. You can tell these guys love their jobs. An additional touch we appreciated very much was the free advice of Carlos' professional Color Consultant, Petra, a talented young art major. I don't think I've ever really liked the colors on my house for 30 years, but I love these! Thank you Carlos, great work, great price, great people!

Carlos and his crew were amazing! They were here and ready to work every morning at 8:00 a.m. and put in full days on the job. Our home was painted in a professional manner and their workmanship was fabulous. All windows and doors were covered with plastic, shrubs tented and edging of roof covered and taped to avoid overspray. This was not a straight forward paint job. We have stucco and cedar siding with tile roof. We had a 4-color scheme with lots of trim, etc. They were meticulous. We would recommend them to anyone needing expert painters at a very reasonable price.

We have had Carlos and his crew do work here before and have always been very pleased with the quality of work and the price. He and his crew are all very professional, and every one of them (not just "the boss") takes great pride in their workmanship. As they work, you can see the intent looks on their faces as they pay close attention to details. Carlos is always on the job site -- he is an active member of the crew, not a "front end guy" to whom you talk initially, explain all you want done in detail, and then never see again -- only to have to explain it all again to the people that actually show up. As those unavoidable unexpected things come up on any complex project, Carlos is very eager to make sure that they are handled the right way -- in your eyes. Good people.

Carlos and his team were amazing. They were professional, punctual, and very detail oriented. I had wallpaper removed and several rooms painted as well as tall ceilings. They were very careful in protecting the furniture and flooring. They were very patient when I would sneak back in the rooms to get something I forgot. They went above and beyond. They even fixed a leg on an electric fireplace that broke during my move to Portland. I had it propped up against the wall with the leg next to it. When they left I noticed it was standing and the leg was back on! I would recommend this company to everyone looking for great service and awesome work at a great price. The end result was beautiful walls and ceilings.

From the time I met Carlos I felt comfortable he would do a great job. He is obviously very knowledgeable and confident in his services. He came in with a good price and was able to get started within a week. I was out of town during the project. Carlos sent pictures as he was painting. When I came back I was absolutely thrilled with the job they did.

Carlos was a real professional from beginning to end. Services were delayed by another trades person getting his piece of the work completed. Carlos was patient and professional and made time to promptly complete his work. Even when he had to come back to put another coat of paint on he was diligent. Covered everything and cleaned up after each visit. Highly recommended.

Carlos and another crew member came out a few days prior and thoroughly power washed the house. A few days later, they returned and started prepping for the big paint job. They transformed our house and made it look better than we ever expected. We are incredibly pleased by their professionalism and work ethic. We highly recommend them and will have them come back soon for our interior project.

Carlos returned my call within hours and arrived promptly for our initial review of the job. I received a written bid within two days and his price was somewhat lower than the competition. It was late in the season and we were all concerned about weather conditions, but Carlos followed the weather reports and his crew arrived when there were several fair days predicted. They completely pressure washed the house protecting our bushes and working around our honeybees with skill. The crew was polite and good humored and returned for the painting work accompanied by Carlos who had carefully matched paint colors and sheen (despite the fact that we had given him an unmatched sample). One of the painters worked from an uncomfortable angle to avoid damaging our solar panels. We left the crew on the job as we drove off on a short vacation. The crew moved ladders and equipment to facilitate our quick departure from the garage where they were working. When we returned the job was done and the house looked good. We did see a west facing beam that looked rough so we called Carlos who showed up the next day and completely sanded, reprimed and repainted it without question. We picked up a little tape in the yard and returned a couple of lawn ornaments to their original spots, and we have our peaceful home and yard in order only three weeks from our initial phone call. Our final bill matched the quote.

Carlos and his team did a great job. They arrived when promised, were very professional. They stripped the wallpaper from a large kitchen and dining area, plastered the walls to perfection. They also did a great job sanding and priming older oak cabinets with a deep grain. Only occasionally can you see the grain through the cabinets. We painted them white and it looks amazing. We also painted the island black and it took a bit longer to dry, hence why they didn't finish on time. We were about a week later than promised...not their fault...the paint and the wet weather didn't help anything. They were always professional, did extra work for us that we paid for when asked and did a great job cleaning up afterwards.
