A-Affordable came out as scheduled, looked over the problem and gave us a reasonable estimate that we accepted. We next scheduled a work day after the weekend and Fourth of July holiday. They came out as promised, performed the work in a professional manner and cleaned up afterwards. Very satisfied with this company highly recommend them for performing septic and drainage services.

I recently purchased a foreclosure with a number of problems disclosed. The septic tank was one of them. The existing septic may very well have been the original tank installed when the home was built in the 1950s. It was degraded and the outlet baffle had fallen out and was not properly connected. Given all the issues with the home I knew this needed to be replaced but wanted to try to limit cost by connecting to the existing drainfield in the hopes that it would last a few more years so that I could spend money on other improvements before moving in. Knowing that I needed at least a new tank I contacted a few different companies. Rick showed up on time and I enjoyed the chat with him. Others proposed bare bones systems while Rick proposed some upgrades beyond the minimum required to meet code such at a 1500 gallon two chamber tank, and a high head pump package. When I asked for an explanation on why he suggested these I was impressed by his reasoning, that the second chamber would make for a better long term pumping solution. The high head pump usually lasts twice as long and that because I would likely eventually need a new drain field that would be uphill it was better to spend the extra $250 now as a service call the replace a regular pump later would be just as much. Once I had signed the contract they put in the permit and started work about a week later once it was ready. The plan had been to have the tank in on Monday but instead it went in Tuesday. As the home was vacant this was not an issue. By Wednesday evening everything was hooked up and it was time to wait for the inspection before back filling. The inspection occurred the following Tuesday and they back filled that afternoon. I am a very inquisitive guy and had done quite a bit of research about septic systems online. Rick answered my questions and made a few tweaks to the bid to get the cycle counter and run time meter that I wanted. Overall the experience went very smoothly and I was impressed with the speed of the work. When I need service or the existing drain field finally goes I will definitely be calling Rick again for a bid.

We sold our home and a septic inspection was needed. A Affordable did both the inspection and some minor follow up service that was needed. In both cases they actually arrived earlier than scheduled (having called for permission each time), and their service was first rate. After the repairs we discovered that their probing into the ground had punctured one of our underground sprinkler pipes, which they promptly fixed. Their communications are excellent. I highly recommend this service.

My husband and I were in the process of buying a house and scheduled a septic system inspection. The service man, Jim, let us know ahead of time that he would be late and was very polite. The house is on a significant slope so the truck had to be maneuvered to the back of the property. A++ driving on his part, especially since he had to squeeze up a single lane road. Jim was very nice and gave us an intro/ tips on septic maintenance since we have never had experience with a septic before. A pleasure to work with!

We are purchasing a house in the Hillsboro area. As part of our inspection period we decided to have the septic system inspected. With buying a house time is always of the essence, so it was important that it be inspected immediately. They scheduled to do the inspection within a day or two of my phone call. They were very nice on the phone and understood that we wouldn't be present (as we're currently in California. They even answered my ignorant, first-time home buyer questions (i.e., "Can't you just inspect it without draining it, how much would that cost?") with respect and patience, and honored the Angie's List/Online coupon over the phone as well. They only inspected and drained our septic tank (no need for servicing, thank goodness), but it went very smoothly. The day after the inspection they emailed me a copy of my invoice and the report and within a few days after that I received a written copy as well. Having a service done while in another state is usually more stressful, but this process was very easy. I will utilize them again in the future.

Marty, the technician, arrived an hour early (with notice) and worked over 3 hours to finish the job, with my son-in-law and I digging and helping as needed. First, Marty pumped surplus water from the top of the exposed septic tank, then he opened a C/O and located the D box with a long T-tool. We found it clogged with tree roots & biomass. He cut roots, cleaned it out, then jetted lines back to tank and out to drain field to clear the system. Finally, he pumped out the septic tank. Before leaving, Marty gave me advice on upgrading the drain field and identified supplies I might need. I monitored the entire process, asking questions and helping where I could. Marty answered every question and demonstrated deep knowledge of the work he was doing. When he had to cut back an azalea plant near the D box, he did it like an expert gardener. I was impressed with Marty's professional knowledge, determination to solve the problem and courtesy throughout.

They quoted us a price over the phone, but it actually ended up being five dollars more, which was irritating. The price was competitive. We would use them again.

They delivered as promised. It was timely and efficient. What more can you ask for? Service agent gave great advice about the setup - above and beyond the work - which I will act upon in the near future.

The workman was very professional and very friendly. He arrived early. The company had contacted me first thing in the morning verifying it was acceptable if he came early.The workman arrived and talked to me about the location of the tank and then he described what he going to do. He completed the service quickly and gave me several important septic tank tips for maintenance.This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend and use .A AFFORDABLE SEPTIC SERVICE again.

He arrived promptly and determined that the problem lay between the tank and the drain field. He then dug up the distribution box and cleared the blockage between the septic tank and the box. He explained our ancient system to us and then filled out an inspection form for us to use when we list our house in the next couple of months. Work seemed to be done professionally and in a timely fashion. Hopefully we will not have to call them before we move, but if there is any new issue, we would not hesitate to use this service again.

It went quick and easy. We had another company in here the week before that tore things up then told us that it would cost $8000 to fix it all. Affordable Septic was great!

The septic guys showed up on time, figured out the best way to pump the tank (the site is a little complicated), pumped the tank and were out of there an hour or so later. Courteous guys and great service.

The company was responsive, the individual who completed the service knew what he was going and did it quickly.

Septic tank was cleaned out and they showed me how the old lid was broken and sinking into the tank. They set up appt for 2 days after to have that replaced. All employees of Aafordable were professional and easy to deal with. Great service!

Their price was good compared to the others. They were affordable and they got the job done. They did a good job.

I had requested a septic system inspection, we had bought a forclosed home and needed help finding the drain field. I was quoted $325 for tank pumped and the inspection was free, plus $25.00 travel fee. The driver arrived 45 minutes late because of a mix up in my old and new address. The driver was nice however he couldnt tell me much about the system and I was charged $355. We will use a different company next time.

A few glitches in timing but we were not in a rush. Professional and accommodating. They let me dig out the old and dig the new pit for the new tank, which saved us a little overall. They did a great job and cleaned up the property in the process.

We live in an old house, built in 1929, and the plumbing system here is a jumble to say the least. Imagine our surprise, however, when we discovered that we had not one but TWO septic tanks. And the one we did not know about failed and began to back up. We initially thought that the lines were plugged but our local roto rooter guys found this old defunct tank that had actually been serving the kitchen and two bathrooms and it had stopped working. YEK! They told us we needed a new tank and would have to install a pumping system to the tune of some $11,000. So we called Rick Jonas A-Affordable to get another bid. He came, examined the problems, checked and tested the drain field using a transome to determine elevation gains and gave us two bids. One bid if a pump system were needed and one if he could work the system out to use a gravity feed instead. The gravity feed was considerably less expensive. He came out the next week and did the work. This involved pulling down extensive overgrowth, digging a new site and re-plumbing some of the drain lines. He also decommissioned the old tanks. We were only without use of water for 1/2 day. And he was able to use the gravity system afterall, thus saving us literally thousands of dollars. He cleaned up the site extremely well after the work was completed. He then went so far as to spread extra gravel he had on the job over our driveway. An unexpected bonus!

He was very good. They do repairs, installation and he told us how to maintain our tank.

Rick (the owner) met with me on several occasions to discuss the project. He was very professional and honest, performed his duties timely and followed through on his promises. I would highly recommend this contractor to anyone looking for professional excavating services and issues related to septic services (including septic tank installation).
