SCION OF BEND

Work was done on time and the price was accurate. Mem is new to the area and bought tires in CA and the shop was able to rotate tires there with no charge due to another dealership agreement.

In general their service look competent when they seem to change the oil what can I say.

A week or two later the new serpentine belt shreds apart while driving and wraps around many engine parts. I am in the middle of nowhere 1,000 miles from home. 4runner is towed  to nearest Toyota dealer, they diagnose problem as faulty installation of fan belt. Toyota of Bend does not agree, will not pay any fees, insists they are great and this is my tough luck. Very poor attitude for a service department. I paid substantial costs for Toyota of Bend's error.

We made two trips to this dealership. First to get some general information and the second trip to do some negotiations and possibly to buy a car. As with most auto dealership, almost as soon as we got out of our vehicle they asked us if we needed help. Sam was very helpful in answering any questions that we had. What made the visits pleasant and less stressful was the fact that they had a glass enclosed play area for the kids, which was visible from much of the dealership. It had books and some video games. A Diego, animal rescue game for the little kids and a racing game for the older kids. They had other play station that kept my 4 and 5 year old busy for a couple of hours. On our second trip, we were helped by Joel since Sam's wife had a baby and he had the time off. Both Sales consultants were friendly and professional. We did a lot of research on the cars we were interested in and contacted other car dealerships before we decided on the Prius C. Since there are no other Toyota dealerships in the area, we contacted another Toyota dealership in Portland. We got their best price, which was below the MSRP. We, gave that figure to Toyota Scion of Bend and they matched the price and gave us about $350 of accessories also. Very easy and low stress purchase. Also all new Toyota cars come with Toyota care, which is all regular maintenance including oil changes for the first 25,000 miles or two years. Plus this dealership also offers free unlimited car washes.

They are a local Toyota dealer and the last time I was there the service work was done under the new car warranty, so I did not pay anything. They are a car dealer so I deal with them because I have to. They are no worse than any other. They are expensive and I have never had an issue with their quality. Their punctuality has been okay.

They told me that they would need to charge me an additional $800 to pull out the dash to completely remove the rest of the rodent nest. I then took it to my regular mechanic and he did it for less than half of that. It did need to be done, but they were more expensive than my mechanic. They did identify the problem, however, they were a lot more expensive.

Work was completed in a timely manner with everything checked and documented.  I particularily liked the fact that they document all results such as tire tread depth, brake lining remaining.  They do not attempt to sell unneeded filters etc but do give you information about when replacements might be needed.  They also document alignment checks so you can determine for yourself how urgently work needs to be done.  Good work at a fair price.

I go there because I would rather take my car to a Toyota dealership than to a regular car mechanic. The service there is great. I will use them again in the future.

I am very happy with them. I have no complaints.

I go here all of the time. It has always worked out well for me. They have always been upfront and straightforward. They haven't let me down. I am pleased with them and I will go back.
