The plumbers were courteous, prompt, clean, and professional. They made sure I knew what the cost would be before the work started, and there were no surprises after the fact. They volunteered their time to answer my questions about my water heater, which were totally unrelated to the reason for their visit. They even sent me a text message before arriving so I'd know when to expect them! They're so busy this month that I had to endure a week of cold showers waiting for an appointment time, but it was totally worth the wait for such quality work.

Other than the very unexpected large sum of money, they did a great job. Very professional, responsive and timely. We were back up with great pressure and consistent, warm water by the end of the day. It's worked great now for over a month (which is why I delayed in writing this--wanted to make sure the good feelings remained!).

Outstanding service from the start! The price they quoted was well within my budget, they were able to stop by earlier than expected and the crew did an excellent job of removing the old water heater and installing the new one. They were very good about keeping things clean and doing good quality work, which I really appreciated. I would not hesitate calling Sutherland again for any future plumbing needs.

So very impressed with Sutherland Plumbing. We had a mystery leak coming from upstairs in to the downstairs bathroom. Even though they were extremely busy a cancellation and some schedule shuffling allowed them to come out that same day. John, John Lee and Shaun were professional, quick in troubleshooting and finding the leak and getting it fixed and thorough in cleaning up the work space. I think it might have been cleaner when they left than when they arrived. Shaun also took a minute and fixed a squeak in my front door. Above and beyond. John explained each step of the process and how much it would cost before moving along. Great service. So glad they could fit me in that day and do the repair in short order.

John Benton, Sean and John Lee showed up when they said they would and assessed the situation. They recommended installing a Pressure Reducing Valve on the main line in the crawl space to eliminate the pipe chatter in the kitchen. They installed a better pipe and faucet in the yard that would not freeze and break so easy. Since our old water heater was over 17 years old and showing it's age, they thought it would be wise to replace it. They were very competent, courteous, helpful and cleaned up very well.

Ti fixed the sink quickly and well, replacing Home Depot parts with quality parts. He also took the time to explain the toilet issues to me and gave me two good options to consider (both pricey fixes for another day). He was courteous and thorough, and I appreciated that he communicated about his arrival by text message.

It was as good an experience as I think one can have with a plumbing issue. John and Ti, and their crew, were all great. John came out the Monday after my Sunday night inquiry, diagnosed the problem immediately, and was able to take care of the repairs two days later! John didn't discover that our water heater was corroded and ready to burst until the day of the water line repair. We talked through several options, and in the end we opted to have them replace the water heater, which they were able to do that same day. The whole work crew was professional and friendly. They changed out faucet filters, checked to be sure the toilets were all working correctly, and took care of an additional leaky drain while they were here as well. It rained during most of the work day, but they were careful to be sure to keep the inside of the house clean. We have an irrigation system in the yard which they could not guarantee could be connected to the new installation - but they were able to take care of that, too - and John sent me a few pictures so I could see the work they had done. They worked with us on the invoice so we understood the pricing and extended any discounts they could offer. We feel like they charged a very fair price for the excellent work, product and warranty they provide! We highly recommend Sutherland Plumbing and are so happy we found them on Angie's list!

We had an excellent experience with Sutherland in December when they correctly identified a leak and saved us over $5,000 being bid by Beaverton Plumbing for a mis-diagnosed problem. Beaverton Plumbing on their visit in December had told us that we could not correct a low water pressure situation in the master bath without replacing the pipes. With the poor experience we had with their accuracy in other areas, when our kitchen disposal seized up, we contacted Sutherland to come out and take a look and also check the water pressure situation. Sutherland set a time and arrived promptly. Their professionals are courteous and listen well, offering excellent customer care from beginning to end. Sutherland fixed the disposal (kid had dropped a piece of metal into the gears) and got it up and running again. With the additional work we had done, they did not charge extra for the disposal. Sutherland looked at the master shower, identified the water pressure issue as blockage in the shower mechanism and replaced with a very nice, modern new fixture as well as offering a solution for the tall people in the family who never could stand under the shower, by installing an extender. Sutherland also corrected a problem with uneven water flow in the master sink faucet by replacing an assembly in the faucet. Beginning to end, Sutherland was efficient, thorough, offered thoughtful solutions and did an exceptional job. Highly recommend!!

I sent a message to them late Saturday night on Angie's List. They email and called on Sunday to schedule an appointment for today (Monday the 25th). I was pleased with the quick response time. They assessed the situation, explained to me in details what needed to be done, and gave me a quote. They made the repairs and discovered that another part was broken. They gave a second quote. In both cases they asked if I wanted them to process with the repairs. In addition to explaining what repairs needed to be done, they took a picture of a repair that needed to be done under the house. John and Shawn where professional, courteous, friendly, and remembered my previous work from last month. They respected my property and cleaned after they completed the work. I would recommend Sutherland Plumbing to all of my friends and neighbors, as they did a great job, and always follow up to make sure they job was done satisfactory. They aren't the cheapest company, but for the work they have done in the past and completed today, their price is fair. I feel good about paying what they charge for the good and reliable job. John and Shawn at Sutherland Plumbing are the best plumbers I've ever had.

John and Sean came out to do the work. They called and asked if they could come out a few days early. I was thrilled that they were able to do the work sooner as my handheld shower wasn't working at all. When they came out they explained everything they were doing. Went the extra mile to make sure everything was working before they left and that I didn't have any questions or concerns. They also cleaned up after themselves which I appreciated as the last plumber I had do some work left things messy. John called a week later to confirm that everything was still working well. He also followed up with a thank you note which I really appreciated. I haven't ever had a plumber follow up with a phone call or send me a thank you note. Sutherland Plumbing is the best plumbing service I have had in years. I will definitely use them in the future for all of my plumbing projects.

This was a 1970's home with leaks and deteriorating pipes. After Ti's work we will have the peace of mind that there won't be any unforeseen issues when renting out this home.

Ti was amazing in all of his responses, communication and customer service. The work was done beautifully. One note is that if you, the customer, are providing your own faucet, the work will not be warranted. That was a standard we were not initially aware of. However, having their quick response and Ti's guarantee of customer satisfaction was worth using this company anytime.

my electric water heater not producing hot water, but after a handyman tried to reset the switch, the hot water is getting too hot. So, we shut off water power at the circuit breaker to prevent scalding/danger, and looked up on Angie's List and Yelp for a reputable company for service. I picked Sutherland Plumbing due to their excellent reviews. I txt them my details and asked them for suggestion to repair or replace. Ti txt me back in details only a short while afterward, explaining options that we could fix it ourself and showed me the how to's with given diagrams, and also gave me the cost options for his repairs or new replacement. Where else could you find such a great/honest customer service like this nowaday? Although, I can't rate them on their price quote because they're the first one I called, therefore didn't have other bids to compare, but I'm sure they must be fair and compatible to have such solid raving reviews. Overall, I commended Sutherland Plumbing for a superb customer service! Thanks!

This was a big deal purchase and it went fine. They did fine. I remember that the cost for having them do the extra stuff was pretty expensive. The workers were very good, honest and straightforward. They left the area very clean. They had to do a big job with the toilet and I thought that took them a long time, but for most of that it was expensive, but I thought they did a fine job with it. The B I gave them for overall was strictly because of their cost. The work was fine.

This was my first time using Sutherland Plumbing. I was not disappointed! I was given their name by a neighbor who had used them and was very pleased with their quality of work. John Benton and an apprentice plumber arrived during the scheduled time and proceeded to assess the situation. We had a problem with the water pressure where if someone was taking a shower and someone else flushed the toilet the shower pressure would slow down to a dribble. This problem existed through the entire house. After checking our plumbing, John advised us that we had a high incoming psi and that it could be corrected by replacing the pressure reducing valve (prv) and adding a new Thermal Expansion Tank with brass fittings to our Water Heater. John was very knowledgeable and efficient and very pleasant as well. He quoted a price that was very reasonable for the job and even checked all of the faucets in the house and replaced the aerators and tightened all handles. He even removed, what he laughingly called a "wookie" (huge hairball), from a lower level bathroom sink that was draining slowly and showed me how to remove the drain stopper. everything was handled in an efficient manner and everything was cleaned up after the job was completed. I will be using Sutherland for all of my plumbing needs from now on.

The plumber wore booties and was excellent in explaining what he was doing and the reasons for it. I know nothing about plumbing so received a good education.

Ti and John arrived at scheduled time. Their professionalism in the removal and installing the new water heater were outstanding. I had to have them move a washer and dryer out of the way to accomplish the installation which they did with no complaints (they may have thought I should have had it done before hand) but kept it to themselves which I appreciated. This is a company I would recommend without reservation to anyone.

The were on time. the work was done as was explained and done in the time it was estimated. After work was done they inspected all the water faucets and toilets in the house to make sure all were working. Three days after work was .completed there was an issue with one of the toilets. They returned that day they were not notified and repaired the leaking toilet no charge. This is a professional and reputable. I would highly recommend this company136 N E

This went extremely well! I had multiple leaky connections---one even seaping through my wall! I also had what I deemed to be "water hammer" which John from Sutherland Plumbing explained was due to excessive pressure coming from the line, which also caused undue wear and tear on my connections throughout the system (thus all the leaks throughout my system). My hot water heater was almost 20 years old so I decided to just throw that into the list of repairs to be made. John thoroughly inspected my plumbing, took time to explain the issues he saw, wrote me out a clear estimate, and did not go over budget. He is an excellent teacher, as he explained my plumbing issues taking care not to talk over my head with technical terms. John and his colleague were on time to complete the work, were exceptionally courteous and maintained a neat and tidy work space. They even went above and beyond by not charging me for labor on several repairs they saw and simply fixed along the way!! I should mention that I had a furnace replaced on the same day by another company and John was extremely accomodating and agreed to call the technician to coordinate the venting of the gas hot water heater. He also maintained contact with me the following few days after the job, to make sure everything was running smoothly. I had an unrelated problem with my toilet, and he came out and fixed it free of charge! I HIGHLY recommend Sutherland Plumbing!!!

I just moved here and found Sutherland Plumbing on Angie's List. The excellent reviews seem well earned. Ti and Sean arrived early (after calling first). They were professional, explained everything and left the bathroom cleaner than it was before they came. Ti even offered to install my smoke alarm battery which I was having trouble doing. They're my plumbers now!

They were excellent. They put in a new toilet and had all the equipment ready to go and they did a wonderful job.

The plumber arrived on time and was courteous and professional. After a very brief look at the toilet and without any attempt at adjusting, the plumber representing Sutherland Plumbing told me I needed a new toilet. It would cost at least 1000.00 (yes, one thousand, not a typing error.) to replace the toilet because it was over 40 years old and major lines would probably need to be moved. This man did not at that time offer a toilet that was less expensive. I turned down the offer and called another plumbing company who quoted $450.00 to do the same job. Later in the day Sutherland Plumbing called to tell me that had a great offer to replace the toilet with a cheaper model (the same one the 2nd company told me they'd install for $450.) for only $600.00

The service was excellent and the people where friendly they were careful about about tracking stains into the house. They cleaned up after themselves.

Another highly-rated but very busy Angie's List plumber was kind enough to recommend Sutherland when I had an emergency a while back. We liked Ti so I called Sutherland again recently when my 57-year-old sinks started backing up. (I didn't want to use chemicals or try snaking those old pipes myself.) I got a prompt reply to my request and made an appointment. John called to let me know when he was on his way and arrived with apprentice Sean right on time. Both were courteous and friendly. John gave me a price quote and clear explanation of what would be done before starting the work. They seemed to fix the problem fairly quickly and left the area clean. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they had installed new aerators on both my bathroom sinks. I really liked that John was great about explaining the problem and solution to me. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction, and he even answered my numerous questions about future plumbing projects. Even though I know that Sutherland Plumbing has a pretty busy schedule, I didn't feel like John was rushing through the job. I can't really comment on their prices since I've only used a plumber a few times at this house and didn't get multiple quotes for this work. I will definitely call Sutherland Plumbing again.

unbelievably responsive company. Contacted me by email within 1 hour and was on site in 4. Quickly analyzed and diagnosed that our water main was broken and helped us put in a temporary fix until they could come a few days later. Showed up exactly on time on promised day. Worked hard until done and cleaned up as if they'd never been here. Stayed until the inspector came and signed off on the work. I was highly impressed with the work they did. Top notch plumbing company!
