The job went very well. We initially called because we believed the seal had become so damaged that a bee had crawled through it. Mark and Dan arrived right on time, hopped on the roof and discovered that the skylight, which picture evidence proved had been poorly installed by some third party (considering the quality of the installation, it could've been the prior homeowner for all we know), actually had a seal so degraded that a small bee's nest had formed in a gap between the skylight and the roof. Not that they should have to play exterminator, but the men wiped out the bees with some on-hand insect repellent, and then replaced the damaged seal with a new, high quality version. (They also cleaned the skylight pane!) To top it off, Mark offered me a discount on a new skylight when I am ready to have it done. And, I plan to call for that follow-up service any day now.

Called three companies that all had strong ratings from Angie's List. Natural Skylight came in with the best price and they also were the only ones to suggest reinforcing an existing rafter that was next to where the skylight would be installed. They did great work.

They did an outstanding job and could not have been more pleasant to deal with. They were prompt, courteous, easy to work with and VERY fair priced. I would definately have them back!

My skylight blew off during a windstorm on Sat. evening. The next morning, Sunday, I checked Angie's List and called Natural Light Skylight at 8:00 a.m. Their answering service contacted the owner and he called me back immediately. After asking me to get measurements of the broken skylight which had landed in my yard, he provided me with some price quotes. He explained the cost of a standard replacement but also told me because of the size it might have to be a custom replacement. We agreed to meet at 11:00 a.m. that Sunday. Dan, an employee of the company, came promptly at 11:00 and was able to install a new skylight, the job was completed by noon. This company went above and beyond to get to me quickly.

I couldn't be happier. Mark arrived precisely on time for the installation, replaced the skylight, and cleaned up. When I asked him to return to inspect the integrity of the installation, he squeezed me into his schedule immediately. He was astoundingly thorough, inspecting the skylight from the bathroom, the attic, and the roof. We determined the installation of the skylight was fine, but Mark went above and beyond the call of duty to determine exactly where my problem originated. We discovered that my problem was a lack of downspouts on the upper level of the house to the gutter system. The lack of downspouts allowed a rush of rainwater to overflow the ridge of my roof and flood the valley, causing my problem. He spent a great deal of his time that day assisting me and making sure I felt secure about his work. I do! I will hire him again in a heartbeat!

Mark does a great job and is very professional. He does great work no complaints here!

We were absolutely thrilled with Mark's service and professionalism, and we couldn't be happier with our Sun Tunnels. Mark was responsive, prompt, quick, and thorough. He made sure to discuss all our options before cutting for the skylights so that we'd be sure to get the best results. We had a small concern a few days after installation, and he came out immediately to make sure it was corrected. He and his staff were friendly and pleasant, and left our home as clean as they found it. We'll definitely use him again!

They are professional as far as installing and maintaining skylights. They are wonderful and did a great job. The workers seemed professional as well.

Mark and I have had a long ongoing relationship spanning back to my first skylight in my former house in 1989 when I connected when I connected with Mark at a home remodel show at the Portland Coliseum. He installed my first Velux power-operative skylight in my dark master bath. This room was instantly transformed into great space. The work was done when I was away on a business trip. When I returned, the skylight was magically in place with no hint of construction debris. It did so much for my house that in 1992, I contracted with Mark to install another Velux power-operative skylight in my family room. In 1993, Mark installed another power-operative skylight in my kitchen. And, last but not least, in 1994, Mark installed a Sun Tunnel in my interior guest bath where, due to cross joists and ridge caps, a conventional skylight could not go. When I later sold this property, the new owners informed me that the many skylights were a great incentive to them in the purchase of my house. I have never encountered any leaking problems with any of the skylights that Mark has installed over the years. So when I purchased a new house in October, 2007, and it had a dark great room, I knew it would be easily fixable. Due to Mark's heavy work-load, it was necessary to schedule out several months in advance. In May, 2008, Mark and his crew installed a bank of 3 Velux power-operative skylights with mini-blinds which way exceeded any expectations that I might have had. He is still as thorough and meticulous as he was almost 20 years ago. The bank of skylights dramatically transformed my great room. Needless to say, I am absolutely delighted with the results!

They are just great! They were very responsive, came right out, did the job, and cleaned up very well after they were completed. Mark Slick, is the owner and was great to deal with. The approximate cost listed is per skylight. We would hire definitely hire them again for future service.

This was the second bid I got for the work. The other company offered to do half the job for 50% more than Natural Light charged for the whole thing. Work was done professionally and quickly.

I contacted Mark quite some time ago and learned that he does indeed have a very busy schedule, but because no one else has his reputation for quality of work and meeting his commitments, I was willing to wait until he was available. It was definitely the right decision. The job took a full week and throughout Mark did exactly what he said he would. He was always punctual and fun to work with. One thing I really appreciated is that he took the time to answer all my questions and discuss the project daily to make sure that all design considerations were taken care of. There was even a little 'scope creep' on my part regarding rerouting of some electrical service. Mark took it in stride without batting an eye. The difference the light has made in our space is phenomenal - the whole area looks bigger! I definitely plan to use Mark again and absolutely recommend him to anyone. I can't really comment on pricing - didn't price shop because I was convinced that I wanted Mark to do the work.

Mark was great. He called back right away and scheduled a time to come by and give me an estimate. Because the two replaced skylights had to be custom ordered, it took a few weeks for them to come in. Mark came by during the first week or so after I hired him to cover and/or re flash the leaking skylights so that we would not have any more leaking while waiting for the skylights to arrive and be installed. I felt that Mark was honest with his assessment. I did not feel like he was trying to sell me more than I needed. I would recommend him to others without hesitation.

The really neat thing is that I had called Mark on a Saturday - and he answered the phone - and he rescheduled his next week because my roof was leaking. He fixed the problem and I haven't had any problems since! He was very affordable as well.

Wonderful service. Mark responded within hours of my initial phone call. We made arrangements to meet at my convenience and had an estimate for the repairs within 24 hours. After checking with Angie's list and professional roofers, I knew Mark was my best choice. We scheduled the work, which was about four to six weeks out. Mark and his crew arrived on time and ready to work. After a few minutes meeting Dubahn (our very big dog) they went to work. The job was completed promptly and professionally. They cleaned up the job site, left nothing behind. Billing was prompt and exactly on the estimate. I would highly recommend Mark, he is very professional and courteous.

I contacted Mark Slick by email, based on positive comments from Angie's List. We played "phone tag" for several days. After discovering that my job would be a "full meal deal", he told me that his company was not taking jobs of this nature before April (6 months out), because he was too busy. I will not recommend this company to others.

Mark Slick came with helper to inspect our leaking skylights. He arrived on schedule, with helper. He removed the old skylights and immediately diagnosed the source of our recurring problems: The ever shrinking seal of Millguard skylights. Although the old skylights were under lifetime warranty, we decided to replace them since Millguard had not been able to fix the problems for longer than a couple of years at each visit over the past 10 years. Mark took the dimensions, ordered the skylights from Thermolite, came back with an impressive set of lifting equipment for the installation, shortly after we called him when our flat roof membrane had been installed. No surprises, just good work. We did not haggle so we don't know whether his price was right on or not. But we liked dealing with Mark. The work was done in December 2006, and as of Oct. 2007, we have had no leak: A first for our roof.

Mark met me after work to provide a quote and immediately I knew we'd found the right company. He didn't simply say, it will cost X, and will take X days to complete, he thought about the job, offering consultation about placement of the skylights; how if we put them in a particular location would provide a view of the woods we'd never even considered. Two days later we decided to move forward and Mark scheduled us for a couple of weeks out (with a day or two leeway). A few days before he confirmed the start date, and the night before called to confirm when they'd arrive. The next morning, exactly when promised, Mark and his crew arrived and went straight to work. They protected everything around the work area inside the house and spent the next 2+ days changing our attitude about our home. They were completely prepared for everything, including rain in July, and left without a trace (except for the 2 beautiful skylights). We couldn't be happier. We recommend them to everyone!

Mark was very prompt in setting up an appointment to give an estimate and in scheduling the work. Crew arrived on time and completed job in one day. They were very neat and the finished skylights look great.

Mark Slick came to my home to review the site and discuss with me my options for skylights and their prices. He gave me his prices in writing. Within a week he sent two employees to do the work. They were prompt, efficient, careful to cover the bath utilities and carpets to prevent damage while installing and cleaned up after completion. They also took time to give me instructions on the operable skylights. Mark followed up by phoning to see if I was satisfied with the installation.

Job 1: He kept in contact for the est., scheduling wrk, & follow-up. On time. He was able to perform the work frm o/side, I didn't need to be home. Hard to tell he d been there. He resealed all 3 of the existing s/lights. I noticed that the upstairs rms were staying warmer. He advised me that the s/lights were older than he originally thought & gave some pricing on replacing the 3 of them. He followed up w/a ph. call to see how I felt abt the work done. Job 2: I d used him before. I called & let him know that whenever he was ready & had some time, we could replace them. Mark is very flexible in scheduling work. We scheduled time as early as possible. He was calling to give me some options w/in a wk. The crew showed on time to begin work & got started after a quick intro. They covered the indoor work area. They showed me where the leaks were at & just how bad the seals had become. Work was complete with 2 hrs. Looking great! They showed me how to use the crank to open the venting one.

We were able to get an estimate within 24 hours and the skylights were installed in a very timely manner and very professionally. The workers were great and efficient. The owner has been very accommodating and concerned, that we were happy with the results. The day the lights were installed, the workers were here on time and created very little noise or mess. Everything was double checked and cleaned up very nicely. We are enjoying our new skylights, very much.

I called Mark Slick regarding a possible leak in a skylight that ended up being a roof leak. Though it turns out he cannot perform work in Clark County he gave me his email address to email him a picture of the skylight from the outside. He thought he could diagnose the problem that way and offer direction to me. I appreciated very much his willingness to do that. When I called the number for the company, a receptionist answered and said I would be called back, right away, I thought). She asked me where I had been referred from, so I said Angie's List.
