Milton Cleanup & More

The work was perfect. I thought I would have to use several contractors to accomplish what I wanted but nothing was beyond Milton's expertise. I am particularly pleased with the pond. With Milton's help, I obtained a wildlife habitat certification for my property. I will be placing raised garden beds in my backyard and I will use Milton's services for that as well. He steered me away from some ill-informed decisions and, in the process, saved me money. His suggestions were great. He was always mindful of the cost and his crew was diligent and conscientious. I've reccommended Milton to my neighbors as well.

After several visits, Milton contacted me saying he was going to focus his business on bigger projects, not small residential maintenance. He referred me to his father-in-law Esteban Pacheco and crew and they've been doing the maintenance on my property ever since. Esteban and crew come every 2 weeks. I am pleased with heir attention to detail and amount of time spent each visit. I think their prices quite fair.

Excellent from start to finish! Same day response to my initial contact through Angie's list. I live in Seattle and the property needing work is in Portland, OR. I met Milton at the property and he arrived right on time. I had chosen three possible companies to meet with and ended up choosing Milton because he was spot on time, very professional, had great reviews on Angie's, and the price was reasonable and appropriate for the work requested. We set a day and time to begin work. I had to drive home that day and return on the agreed day to oversee the work. The other owner of the home could not be there for the estimate, but was able to meet with Milton when the work started (a day earlier than expected, which was fine with us!) Of course the other owner came up with a lot more work than we originally had planned, and Milton was amazing at working with us to get everything that we needed done, done. He is a kind person and professional. The additional price was right on, the work was completed on schedule as revised due to the extra work involved. He was great at working with the two of us. The other owner was not available to oversee due to his job, so Milton worked with us using phone conversations and texting to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. The whole family, renters and the neighbors are very happy with their work. Several neighbors stopped by to compliment us on the beautiful result! We will definitely use Milton's again in the future to help us maintain the property.

They helped me find affordable stone(ManorStone) for a 52ft. retaining wall at the front of my property and up my driveway.Since I live on a cul de sac on a hill, with a steep driveway, building the wall was more challenging than a flat surface and we had to stay at 4 ft or under according to city code. They were eager to share every step with me and made a number of trips to my house to get my approval of the stone colors, and to secure a mailbox. They also came back and cut and fit a piece of stone cap that needed to be specially cut. ....see above category for more details.

Milton has worked for us for many years. Over the years, our neighbors have all begun to use him. We use him for all yard maintenance, and any heavy jobs involving trees, hedges, and ground cover. He fits his schedule to meet ours. His crew arrive on time and work tremendously hard and efficiently. You hardly know they're there. They leave everything clean and spotless. And his prices are reasonable. He's the best.

This company was extremely responsive to my call for service. They came out right away to see the job and gave me an estimate. I wanted to have a very tall (12-40 foot) hedge tamed. They were able to schedule the job within the week. Two men worked almost all day on the hedge. They worked very hard and hauled away everything. I have hired several Maintenance people in the past to trim this hedge and it never was done so well (which explains why the more challenging areas grew so tall). Now my yard looks so much better. I will be using this company every year to maintain the hedge. Although I always like to pay less, the price was quite reasonable given the difficult work that had to be done.

Milton and crew were excellent! I'll hire them back in an instant. Milton showed up promptly for a review of the work and was able to give me a very reasonable quote on the spot. The work was scheduled through Angie's List. Again, Milton's response was quick and easy. Milton and crew showed up this morning, we reviewed the work and they busted it all out super fast with nothing left for me to haul away - they did it all. Milton's Yard Maintenance is top notch, professional and thorough. And, they don't only do yard maintenance, but landscaping, as well.

First inquiry call was returned very promptly, as was our first consultation meeting. His crew showed up on time and finished the job in exactly the time he had estimated. They worked swiftly and professionally. Cleaned up everything! A huge transformation! We will call them back in the Spring!

Milton met me at my house to give an estimate at the time he said he would be there. He gave me a quote and had a crew there to perform maintenance as agreed. They work hard and it my yard looks great!

The response to a quote request was prompt and professional. The work was timely, thorough and professional. The debris was hauled away and everything cleaned up. Milton followed up on their work to assure my satisfaction and to see if I had any questions. I pkan to hire them for some additional work.

My Saturday April 24 call was returned promptly, a visit scheduled for Sunday resulting in bid of $250 for leaf, weed and fern removal, minimal trimming and general (small) yard cleanup. I offered to get rid of leaves, dropping bid to $200. Milton arrived approx noon as scheduled on Monday with two helpers. Milton left early for another previously scheduled job, remaining two workers left at approx 2:20 p.m. All three were courteous, professional. They did a more thorough job than others have done. I have checked that I would use provider again because they were so well organized, pleasant and professional, but they are pricey.

Went very well. Milton and his crew were very professional. The two men who did the work were hard workers and did an excellent job. Will definitely use again. As time goes on I will probably use Milton Landscape for full time landscaping.

What amazing work! We are standing here (pleasantly) with our mouths hanging open. First, they were the first and only company to respond to our request for information. They arrived the next day to give us an estimate. We were impressed that the truck was clean, Milton was professional, well dressed, etc. He told us what he could do, how much it would cost, gave us options (i.e.: do you want the debris hauled away?) He made the appointment for two days later. Milton and his worker showed up on time. We watched him show the worker what he wanted, demonstrated the exact technique and then he left the worker to do the job. We watched this man diligently and competently perform the job we requested with excellence! He worked the entire time. We told them we just wanted them to trim down the ivy, that we'd do the raking and removing the debris. He raked it all for us, put it in nice piles. We are so very pleased with their service. For us, it was expensive, but also well worth the expense. As my husband said, what took them two hours took us two days...and lots of ibuprofen and many trips to the chiropractor. My husband looked at the finished work, put on a big smile, stretched and said, "My back feels better already!" Would highly recommend this organization to do your yard work. Great, great, job.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Milton and his crew! I called to request an estimate and he responded right away and met with me 2 days later to discuss our project. Milton removed a huge area of overgrown blackberries from our back yard. He removed them from the roots so the plants wouldn't grow back from where they were cut, as well as cut all of the other overgrown grasses and shrubs along the back walk. He also cut back 4 trees that had branches blcoking the area I plan to install a fence, and hauled all the debria away. He came early to start the project and was completed in record time. I truly can't recommend him enough, you will be very satisifed with his work!

Milton was quick to come provide the bid and his was able to get his team out quickly. The primary reason for his visit was for tree removal, but I also needed a tilling job done. I informed Milton that the tilling area was for a garden, confirmed that it would be 6-8 inches of tilling, and explained that the yard had quite a lot of debris and rocks that are an ongoing archaeological project. To determine the scope and plan for my projects, I asked for a quote for the trees/stump grinding, the tilling job, and then together if I did them both. I chose the latter, $500 for both projects. It was quite dry that day, but upon my review, Milton stated that his team already removed quite a bit of debris from the yard and took it to the dump (or wherever) along with the tree trimmings. He pointed to a pile of debris that was left aside for me to dispose of and then made a point to say that "the reason the tilled area was flat was because they walked on it".Milton then made it difficult to pay by credit card and didn't have any sort of invoice for me. I refused to pay without at least that, which they later emailed and I was to mail a check. Upon later inspection and actual measuring, only the top 2-3 inches were disturbed. As I recalled from another tilling job that was done, the tilled area should have been like walking on marshmallows for 4-6 weeks. I called Milton, stated my issues and claims. He did offer to go back to correct the job, but since I couldn't be there to fully supervise the job, I declined. Instead, he agreed to a reduced payment of the job (less most of the tilling job). In short, I feel that the job was rushed and that they/he was hoping I wouldn't notice. I stated all of this to him on the phone. To be fair, he was quite responsive to my claims/statements and agreed easily to my solution. I paid $400. Additionally, I realize now that the stump grinding may also not be the 6-8 inches as promised, but I'm hoping the salt treatment and soon to be landscaping overlay will adequately cover it.

Milton and his team came on time and finished the job very well. They cleaned up after the job is done. The team is punctual, professional and did a great job!

They do an amazing job of keeping the yard trim and tidy. They know what to do and when, and they do it properly.

The workers were on task the whole time they were here. They did what I asked, but were not always as thorough as I wanted. They were hired for two hours, but sometimes they left ten to fifteen minutes early. I did not have a specific schedule of the day they were coming, so there were a few times that I was not home when they came. That meant that I unable to communicate my requests and had to wait a whole month to have a specific thing done. Milton was accommodating, but I had to contact him more than once to clarify the time his crew was coming. This is the first time I have had help with my yard so it is hard to judge this company in comparison to others. I may interview other sources before I decide if I will have them back this spring.

Have used Milton's Tree service for years. Believe they do the best job for the price. Very responsive and dependable.

Milton and his crew were all professional, punctual, and diligent. They removed all of the debris from their work, and also some that we ourselves had left in the work zone over the years. They left zero mess around the loading area at the end of the day, which was much appreciated since we were borrowing our neighbors' driveway so they could more easily load their truck. We will be asking for their help again when we re-design our back yard in the Spring, and then will be looking to hire them to maintain it.

They showed up when scheduled and worked very hard and also did a great job cleaning up. They were also careful of nearby fence and other plants. Milton's price was competitive and seemed the most reasonable of the three quotes we got .

I did research on Angie's List to find a local crew to clean-up our neglected yard. The results of reading reviews lead me to Milton's Yard Maintenance. I contacted him via email on Labor Day and I received a call that day within an hour. Since I was available on that holiday, we arranged a visit that same day! He came out to view our project and told me his price and schedule. We scheduled for 9/11/14 after corresponding via email with a confirmed list of detailed work to be performed. He and his crew promptly showed up on our scheduled day. Milton and his crew worked hard all day, very professionally. I am thrilled with the work! It was a big project and one that my husband and I would never finish on our own. When I was researching for a yard maintenance crew, here are some additional details that I would be looking for(and found with Milton's Yard Maintenance): - Thoroughness- They worked all day and clearly knew how to organize such a project. - Considerate and detail-oriented- We had high wind that day and opted to not spray the weed killer until the following day so as to not affect the neighbor's plants. - Thoughtfulness- I was not at home while the work was being done. I had marked the plants to save, but missed a few. Instead of just pulling the plant, they had my husband call me to verify what I wanted to keep. - Expertise in his craft- Milton was very responsive and confident in his crew's expertise. We have a few more yard projects and his crew does all of it including tree-trimming, routine yard maintenance. We will be contracting with them again and we will be recommending this crew to our neighbors.

These guys are amazing! Only yard company we've ever had that got absolutely everything done as we wanted with no messes. The crew even pulled dandelions out of the lawn that was not included in the order. wIn otherwords: thorough. Even the correction of one problem far exceeded our expectations. Power wash took too much stain off several spots. Milton came back to do what i thought would be touch-up with my stain cans. Instead, he recoated the entire upper deck. He said we would be completely satisfied before he left and we were more than satisfied! We immediately called Milton back to thank him and put in an order in for him to deliver and spread barkdust.
