 + -1 moreTHE PLUMBER WHO WORKED ON THE DRAIN WAS PLEASANT AND CAREFUL WITH THE FLOOR AND FIXTURES. HOWEVER I THOUGHT A $20.00 CHARGE FOR THE USE OF THE "SNAKE" WAS A VERY POOR WAY TO ADD AN EXTRA CHARGE TO THE HOURLY RATE OF $108.
Description of Work: ASKED THEM TO REPAIR SLOW DRAINING BATHTUB. THE PLUMBER USED AN ELECTRIC "SNAKE" 3 TIMES TO REMOVE HAIR FROM DRAIN. THE TUB DRAINED WHEN HE TESTED IT, WITHOUT THE STOPPER IN PLACE. WHEN THE TUB WAS USED THE NEXT DAY, THE DRAIN WAS AS SLOW AS BEFORE. I CALLED KENNEDY AND THEY SAID THE MAIN LINE MIGHT NEED TO BE REPLACED. I CALLED ANOTHER PLUMBER AND PAID HIM $150.00 TO TELL ME THE STOPPER SPRING WAS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. I REPLACED THE STOPPER ASSEMBLY MYSELF FOR $6.95, AND THE TUB DRAINS PERFECTLY. I CONTACTED ROY AT KENNEDY WHO OFFERED TO REFUND 1/2 HOUR LABOR FROM MY BILL (I ASKED FOR 1/2 OF THE TOTAL BILL), AFTER MY CHECK CLEARED. IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS AND NO REFUND.

 + -1 moreThe folks at Kennedy were lovely to work with. The scheduler was very friendly and made us an appointment for the next day, then rang me back and said she could squeeze me in that very afternoon. Fabulous! The man who unclogged our drain was also very friendly and professional. He didn't even mind our daughter watching him work the entire time. Before he left, we chatted about drain maintenance and future things to watch out for. Very educational. $128 seems like a lot for a 30 minute drain cleaning, but I couldn't have done it myself. So there you have it.
Description of Work: They unclogged our laundry room drain.

 + -1 moreCliff was excellent. He worked quickly and efficiently and explained each step. He was patient and tried his best to solve the problems with the shower. The shower fixtures are old and the problem probably is in the valve in the wall. To repair that would require major removal of the bathroom shower tile. He was, however, able to get the drip reduced. Due to a cancellation, I was able to get same day service. I was called before the established service time, which was very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to use Kennedy Plumbing in the future. They are an excellent company.
Description of Work: Cliff, from Kennedy Plumbing, made several repairs to a shower, toilet and leaking bathroom faucet. He got the toilet back in good working order.

 + -1 moreI called on a Monday afternoon and the plumber visited on Tuesday morning, arriving earlier than scheduled after calling in advance. He was courteous and explained what he was doing as he worked. I had tried and failed to repair it myself and he educated me on the assembly process should I encounter the same problem again. He charged the same price the dispatcher quoted when I scheduled the service.
Description of Work: The provider repaired a leaky Delta kitchen faucet using a standard repair kit.

 + -1 moreTried to install water filter; still leaked. Recommended another brand of filter which he had in his truck. Installed that and it worked. Unfortunately, discovered that there was another leak inside the refrigerator whenever the Dispense Water button was pushed. He said he was not an appliance repair person and that I would have to arrange for any repairs. He worked quickly and efficiently in installing the water purifier system in the water line to the refrigerator.
Description of Work: Called in to install a refrigerator purified water filter that I could not install without getting heavy leaking.

 + -1 moreThe plumber, Joel, was very pleasant, and fast working. He removed all of the debris, and when I returned from taking my son to school, he was gone and the only trace of him was the new sink! The price was by the hour starting from the time they arrive, (he called when he was on his way,) I still can't understand why the other company was going to charge me $200 more for just a disposal replacement! I feel that the work was worth the price, if you have decided you don't want to do it yourself. I also believe that it would have been twice the amount of time had we tried to do it.
Description of Work: After a previous plumbing company quoted us $500+ for the replacement of a broken garbage disposal, we decided to purchase our own and replace it ourselves. Of course, we visited the hardware store and decided on a new sink, faucet, and disposal. We then realized we were taking on a bit larger job, and lacking the time to install it, we decided to try to have it all installed by a professional. Kennedy was able to come out within a few days, and was very courteous. The plumber added about $70 worth of new plumbing and parts, as well as worked on the counter a bit to make the new sink fit. It all was finished in a couple of hours and we have a beautiful new working sink, faucet, and disposal!

 + -1 moreKennedy Plumbing called us back within five minutes of leaving a message on their emergency line. Other plumbing companies did not ever return our call. Dave was great to work with and did a quality job. The price reflects the quality of work and timing of our plumbing problem.
Description of Work: When we got home from work on Friday night our neighbor had told us our main water line was broken and water was flooding the street. The city had already turned off the water for us. We called Kennedy Plumbing and they came out first thing Saturday morning (at our request). Dave was on time and extremely friendly, he identified the problem for us and got right to work. We will call Kennedy again for any future plumbing needs.

 + -1 moreCliff was 1 hour late. However, once he arrived he was the ultimate professional. He covered his shoes, cleaned up after his work and replaced only the parts that needed replacing. He also was very informative about ways to maximize the life of the toilet. I felt like I was charged for an extra 1/4 hour in labor but wasn't enough to haggle about. Cliff represented Kennedy Plumbing quite well.
Description of Work: Replaced several parts inside the toilet tank & repair leaking tank.

 + -1 moreJoel the plumber arrived on time. He was very polite and went to work to discover the source of the leak. He brought the cracked drain to me to explain the problem and was clear as to what needed to be done. The work was done successfully and Joel advised me to wait on the ceiling repair to make sure that all of the leak was taken care of. He also pointed out a thin crack in the grout of the tile surround, which could have added to the problem. So far, so good.
Description of Work: Water dripping from our master bath, down through to our dining room ceiling. Plaster was beginning to fall from the ceiling.

 + 0 moreI was told the plumber would arrive between 3 and 5 and he arrived at 4 o'clock. Very professional and very courteous. He not only fixed the pipe that was broken, he looked over all the other pipes under the deck to make sure there were no problems and added tape where two different metals were touching to avoid electrolysis. Also told me about ''bleed'' valve at the water shutoff in the house. I would definitely call Kennedy again if I have a plumbing/water pipe problem in the future.
Description of Work: Outdoor pipe under the deck had a hole. New pipe was installed (cut and soldered into place).

Description of Work: Repaired 1'' PVC pipe by meter. Water leaked and had to have water turned off. This had to be done on a Sat (time and half) Neighbor had done digging to have access to problem (this saved billed time) I had another company's estimate (Casey's est of $600, flat cost!!!)

Price was completely reasonable for the peace of mind in understanding the problem and knowing it was repaired correctly.
Description of Work: Repaired a leaking water main (copper). Replaced main shut-off valve, and re-aligned the pipe to take the pressure off and prevent future problems.

 + -1 moreThe plumber was very friendly and prompt,and let me know what he was doing as he did everything. The service was priced about where I thought it would be. He let me know that there was a 99% chance it would not leak. Well, it did the next morning (Saturday), so we called and left a message, but got no return call. We had one more drip on Sunday, but the next day there was nothing. It has been two weeks now and it seems to be fine; otherwise, I would very much be at issue with not getting my call returned.
Description of Work: Replaced shower drain that had cracked and was leaking into garage.

Mike called when he wss on the way and showed up within the estimated time promised. He explained what he would be doing to correct the issue. He worked efficiently and checked his work before he left. Mike was very professional and taught me how to clean the filter on the faucet for maximum water pressure.

 + -1 moreA fellow by the name of Roy Pierce came out to do an estimate. He seemed in a hurry. It was very hot that day, and he wanted to get back in his air conditioned truck. He never sent an estimate.

 + -1 moreThis is the second time I have used this company. Both times they have been prompt, courteous, and efficient. Though this was not a major repair it needed to be done quickly and they were able to accommodate. I'm not sure whether they are a bargain (is there such a thing with plumbers?), but I would not hesitate to use them for lerger jobs.
Description of Work: Part of our outdoor piping, which carries water down a hillside, had sprung a major leak--the kind of thing that seems simple to repair, but we were unable to and therefore were unable to water. They replaced the damaged pipe and coupling.

 + -1 moreI called the office and they were very courteous and able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Jorge was right on time, professional and efficient. He was very knowledgeable. He had a good idea, as to the problem with my leaking toilet and had it fixed very quickly. He installed a pedestal sink for me and double checked his work before leaving. It was not inexpensive, but worth having a knowledgeable person doing the job. I will call them in the future for any plumbing needs we have.
