Perfect - Kennedy Plumbing was on time, professional, friendly and quickly completed the job.

Overall it went well, however there was a little lack of attention to detail that I remedied myself

It went quickly and without any problems

It didn't. We were told that no one would come to bid our work unless the projects would cost $2,000 or more (how would we know?) and that for anything else, the plumber would charge $126/hour to visit and review our proposals. They must be busy. We're disappointed with this response from a firm with Angie's service awards.

They were here July of 2015. It cost $150.

They called and canceled our appointment 15 minutes before they were supposed to show up. They said they don't have any other plumber to send out. I asked to speak to the owner and was told "he's retired". They were completely indignant, didn't even apologize, and don't deserve your business.

I had a plumber come out last week. At that point, I was told how much it would cost per hour ($126). I was not informed that they begin the clock when the plumber's previous destination. Therefore, prices will vary and depend upon the location of the plumber's previous job. The plumber did a fine job. When he arrived, he said, "I will not spend more than 10 minutes and I will not see you anything that you do not need." He arrived at 11am and left at 11:30. I was charged for an entire hour's worth of work, $10 for glue, and $16 for a part. I called the office to question the fact that I was charged $10 for misc items and the entire hour when it was just one half hour of work. Joel was defensive from the beginning of the conversation. He informed me that there is a minimum charge of one hour (and paying for the driver's time) and I was charged for misc supplies such as glue. Keep in mind that all this plumber had to do was replace a valve - so could not have used more than a nickel size worth of glue. If you read Angie's List reviews on Kennedy Plumbing you will note that Joel informs clients that they have "upfront pricing" When I asked Joel why I was not informed about this he said that he has had clients for 10 years that do not ask, therefore I am not entitled to upfront pricing unless I ask for it first. I guess what he writes on Angie's List and what he tells clients are not the same. Joel also stated that this is how they have been doing business for 40 years and so it must be right. I believe that all we need to do is look in our history books to remind us that policies and procedures which have been in place for 40 or more years do not necessarily make them right or ethical. As I proceed to ask another question, Joel interrupted me before I could get through half a sentence. When I told him that it was no use to continue the conversation because I was not given the chance to speak he replied: "Well, you are just going to write a bad review of us anyways, so go right ahead." It is unfortunate when a consumer does not get the opportunity to ask questions and speak their mind about the way they have been treated directly to the contractor.

The plumber arrived quickly and promptly on the doorstep the same day that I had called. Upon his arrival, he told me that he was not going to take more than ten minutes and not sell me for anything unnecessary. He was extremely polite and competent in what he performed. I have an issue when I called the office to discuss the bill. I spoke with Joel who was extremely defensive and combative. I explained to him that I was not sure about the $126.00 per hour charge when he was only working for 30 minutes. Furthermore, he stated that we are responsible for the driving time of the driver. He then agreed with my logic that the previous destination will determine one's bill. I then asked him about the $10 I was charged for misc supplies. The plumber did not use more than a quarter size of glue. My issue was that this was not explained to me previous to the invoice. Joel had instructed me that because he has worked with some many clients who have been with him for a while he does not feel the need to explain pricing to any clients. WhenI prompted him with other questions, he was hostile and interrupted me with the reply: "You're obviously going to write a bad review..so just go do what you are going to do." I was hoping to get more reasonable explanations when I called before writing my assessment. If you choose to use Kennedy Plumbing, I urge you to lower your expectations in customer service from Joel. He is defensive and unable to reasonably provide an explanation for his charges. You might also have to forego any explanations because his other clients that he has been working with do not ask.

The serviceman who came out, Clay, was dressed nicely and was a pleasure to deal with. He was on time and did not waste any time getting the job done. I was satisfied with everything.

Plumber was even able to do this making careful adjustments so my new 12" offset toilet fit the very close space to the wall. The 10" toilet, which I thought I was going to have to switch to, was going to cost $100 more. Now I have a good flushing toilet and saved that extra money. Worth paying the professional.

On his job invoice dated 31 December 2015, plumber stated "I made a repair to a irrigation pipe that I broke while making a repair to the WS...." He had done a good job repairing the break in the water line from the meter to the house on 29 December 2015 (Job invoice for that work was $533.40) My family (son & daughter who live out of state) said they did not believe I should have to pay for the irrigation pipe repair. I am a senior widow living alone on a fixed income and although I too did not believe I should have to pay for the repair, did pay with my credit card the amount on the invoice - $318.03 (hourly rate of $126 for 2 and 1/4 hours - $283.50) plus cost of materials $34.53. After using Kennedy Plumbing for several years on previous occasions and always happy with their work, I probably will be looking for another plumbing company for any future plumbing needs.

I submitted an Angie's List inquiry on Sunday and received a call back Monday morning. Very responsive. They were able to get me in that day, and the plumber called much earlier than expected to let me know he was available. He explained all the steps he was taking and also gave me a cursory review of the plumbing in my basement. Always helpful to have a professional opinion. He was finished up within an hour with virtually no trace of his work. I am always pleased to find a reliable plumber to hit these little jobs, especially when they're backed by AL. There's no doubt that we would hire Kennedy Plumbing for future work.

The repairman called to say that he was able to come early. This worked for my schedule. He finished the work requested and made a further helpful suggestion. I agreed and he finished all within an hour. I presented an Angie's List coupon, which was honored. I use Kennedy for all of our plumbing needs, when they are available.

The next day it plugged up again. They were also supposed to clean the drain in my shower and I ended up doing it because it got clogged up again. It was disappointing because they didn't anything.

He was professional and courteous and completed his task quickly.

He was on time, efficient, and cleaned up after himself. He was willing to explain what he was doing and why. He made helpful suggestions. He was friendly. He liked to talk but if I excused myself he was respectful of my time.

Joel called and even though they were unable to schedule something right away, he was able to walk my husband through diagnosis by phone. The leak was found and fixed on our own (with their expert guidance). True customer service like that is rare. So glad we called Kennedy Plumbing.

Water was leaking in the crawlspace. They came out and discovered there were rusted out pipes. Kennedy plumbing replaced all of the old rusted pipes quickly and efficiently. They also looked at a toilet and replaced that too.

They were on time exactly early. The quality of the work was very good. I even got a few tips from the pro.

Setting up the appointment was easy and he called when he was on his way. He was very professional. It took about little over an hour to change both of them. Everything works great. This is the first time we hired a plumber and we were surprised they charge for travel time to your place as well. Other than that, everything was great.

The plumber (Clay) came at the time promised, calling ahead that he was on his way. He assessed the leakage problem, shut off the water to the house, drained the system, removed the defective pipe, replaced it with copper (and brass) fittings, tightened a fitting that came loose in the process of removing the defective pipe section, sweated on the new pipe, and cleaned the flux from sweated-on section. Beautiful job, quickly and professionally done.

Excellent, dogged job. Well-done!

It turned out very well. They were prompt and on time. They called to confirm appointment. They did a great job.

The job was done in approx. 1/2 hour. He checked my other faucets and said they were ok!!

The provider didn't do the work because I found someone else who was able to do the work before the provider was available and for less money. I needed to get the job completed as soon as possible since I was unable to use my kitchen sink.
