Generally...it did not go at all....they reneged on our contract. See the description above.

Very well they came to the door and made clear who they were and that they would start the process. We saw the latter go up and I was pleased that they did not place their latter directly on the gutter. They started cleaning the roof and washing out the gutters shortly there after. When the gutters were flushed out they put the screens in and were of the roof. They cleaned off the areas on the house and the Gutters where dirt was present.

They were very quick to send out the estimator and the price was very fair. When they came out to do the work, it was very late in the day, but their team of 3 people performed the jobs very quickly. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. We had sheets of water pouring out of our gutters before they came, and now everything is working JUST the way it should. We are happy with their work.

Calls from the company were courteous; workers were prompt and pleasant; very thorough job. Tom even sent a note thanking me for my business! Wow! That's a first.

I called for an estimate and Rodger came out on 7/10/10. He did the estimate without coming to the door and I had to call and see if he was coming. He said he had already done the estimate and would send it to me, which he did. I tried to schedule an appointment but the office said they would put me on the schedule and call the day before to let me know when they were coming. I called to check in August and they said they were still booked. I called again in September and it appears that they had lost my paperwork so they had to put me on the schedule. They cleaned the roof on 9/17/10. The crew missed a part of the roof and got a large amount of debris in the air conditioner. I called them and they came back immediately and rectified the situation. They could not put the moss killer on at that time and had to return due to weather. I paid the first billing of $484.00 which was less than I thought it would be, but the worker assured me that was the price and it states on the billing that the amount covers both the moss removal and moss killer application. When the crew returned for the moss application they left another bill for $138.00 with the same description on the billing. I called Amy at the office and she said, "Oh, that's just what it says but it's wrong, so you owe the additional $138.00 for the moss application." I told her it did not state that on the billing, instead it said that the moss application was included in the total. She said, again, that it was a wrong amount and I should have referred to my proposal from 7/10/10. I told her the billing was unclear and unprofessional and while I was going to pay it, I was unimpressed with their attitude and that I expected an apology. She gave an an insincere apology and I did let her know that I would let Angie's List know what happened so other people would not be caught off guard. So... you should be aware that while the work appeared to be of high quality that what they say and what happens is different, even when it is in writing.

Call was professionally answered. Estimator did not arrive but received call that substitute would come that afternoon. Did not clarify when the cleaners would arrive so expected them in AM. and they did not arrive until 2 PM so unable to observe the work ongoing but assume that it was completed correctly.

Arrived on schedule. Excellent workers. Very professional. Cleaned up after. Checked back to see if all was well.

Outstanding. I don't think there is any reason to call anyone else in the future. I called six companies and had to leave messages at most. Five called back eventually which was too many bids to get, but didn't realize many of these firms are likely one person using a cell phone. NOT SO with All Surface. They have an office where you deal with a person who sets things up on the spot. The estimator came five minutes early, had a uniform and gave a firm estimate and told how they do the work: brush scrape, sweep, not high pressure hose which can harm shingles. Gave two options on putting on a moss resistant coating, one for one year and one for three years. They came exactly when the said and were very professional. We have a three story home plus a one story addition and so roof was high and steep and they had all the right equipment. I highly recommend them. The bid was actually the best of the five and about 60% of the highest bid.

The crew showed up promptly in the morning and worked professionally to clean the areas we had requested. The appearance of these areas is now very good.

I have used this vendor before for roof and gutter cleaning and was pleased with their work. I called them again. They came out and gave an estimate on cleaning gutters, roof, moss inhibitor, deck cleaning, brightening, stain, plus pressure-washing the house, driveway and exterior of gutters. Decided on the roof and gutter cleaning plus pressure-washing and brightening pressure-treated wood front porch and back deck, Then staining porch and deck. Decided not to do the other things estimated. The estimate was free. They broke out each item in the estimate so I could pick and choose the services I wanted and easily calculate the cost. There was a 2-week wait list. They called 2 days in advance of when they could do the work per my request. Everything had to be moved from the decks and porches, and we live on sloped lot which required some planning to get things moved off the deck. They came just when they said they would, calling ahead that day with the time. Did the roof and gutters, blew the debris from the roof off the porchs and driveway and cleaned and brightened the decks. Then we had to wait, because it rained. The deck took longer to dry as a result. This was the only hitch. Almost had to wait until after a long weekend, because the workers weren't going to be able to get back. The weather warmed up and Amy called back saying they would come the next day to finish the job, which they did. Very pleased with the results. Despite quite a bit of abuse and being in the shade most of everyday, the back deck looks awesome and the roof looks as good as when it was installed about 10 years ago. It's amazing how long things can last when the proper care and treatment is given. I trust All-Surface Cleaning to do a great job. They always have. I will definitely use them again when it's time to clean the roof and gutters again. And next time I won't put off getting the decks done, because their cost was reasonable and the work was excellent.

They did a great job over-all. I've had this Company do work for me before, so I knew they were good.

Because of the poor communication with the office about my first house, which they had cleaned the day before, I insisted that the crew be punctual this time, and they were. I walked them around the house and told them that when it was time to clean up, they were NOT to use their leaf blowers because of the residual mess this creates on the sides of the house and on my plants. They were to simply rake up the fallen debris and take it away, which they did. After the roof was cleaned, the pressure washer was set up next to it on the ground. I was in my house and looked out the back window to see how the deck clean up was going and was surprised to see a white foam on the deck, which indicated that some chemical substance had been applied to clean it. No one had told me (or asked me for permission) that this was going to be used. If I'd known, I would have told them NOT to use anything but water, since the chemicals wash directly off into my yard and I had no idea if it would harm my plants! As the pressure washer machine was running, it leaked a big pool of water around itself. When the deck cleaning was finished, I asked what the chemical cleaner was and was told it was a type of "bleach" used to lift off the dirt for extra cleaning. After the crew left, I saw that the excess chemical cleaner had been dumped out at the curb, staining the concrete. Again, as it was with the first house, I was left with some extra yard work, cleaning up the mess from the spray of the power washer and raking up any missed roof debris. At this point, I'm writing a letter to the company, making some recommendations for improved communications between the office and the customer, as well as suggestions for improving their on-site performance. Will I use this company again? I honestly don't know.

When the estimator (Adam) came out, he was friendly, informative, and answered all my questions and concerns. He told me that the office would call to schedule me in 3 weeks time, then call me the day before my appointment to confirm. The office called and we set the date; however, the day before, I heard nothing from them and had to call myself to confirm. I was told the crew would arrive the next morning between 8:30-9:30 and that they would call when they were on their way. The day of the clean-up, the arrival time passed with no crew arriving. I called the office at 10 a.m. and Amy told me that they'd had a "small job ahead of yours and they are probably on their way now." Time passed and NO crew. So I called the office again at 11:45 a.m. and got an answering machine. Amy called me back and said she had no idea where they were, but had left a message to have them get back to her. Finally, the 2-man crew arrived just before noon, driving a rented U-Haul truck. I asked if the company truck had broken down, but was told it hadn't; the reason they were late was because I was the THIRD job on their list for the day. They got to work immediately on the roof. I called the office and spoke to Amy, asking her why it was, if the crew got their work orders at 8:00 a.m. that morning and THEY knew I as third on the list, WHY DIDN'T I ALSO KNOW THAT??? She apologized and told me that the crew had "switched things around on her." Overall, I was very disappointed in the poor communication with the office. As far as the overall clean up, I was happy with the job they did on the roof. It was the ground work with which I wasn't too pleased. The crew used their high-powered leaf blowers to blow the debris into piles. This meant that a lot of dirt was blown up against the house AND directly into my planter boxes and flower beds, covering the plants with a fine layer of dirt. The men took away the bulk of the debris, but I was left with the job of raking the dirt away from my house foundation and sweeping the dirt off the siding, all the way around the house. I also had to clean up my plants so that they would not suffer any damage. (I forbid the crew from using their leaf blowers to "clean" my plants, as it tears the leaves to shreds and breaks the stems from the force!) In the end, I consoled myself that at least I had a well-cleaned roof, even if it meant the frustration of poor customer service and extra yard work for me. Would I use this company again in the future? Angie's list only asks for a Yes or No reply; in truth, I'd have to leave it at MAYBE.

All Surface was out to provide the estimate exactly when scheduled, I got a start date about 2 weeks away. They gave me a reminder call the day prior (exactly on time), and a heads-up call (at my request) when they were on the way. They finished the job in one day a pretty mossy roof on a three-story home, with lots of fir and cedar needle litter stacked up on the roof as well. They roof came out looking great and the gutters are clean, including the three-story-up gutters I really, really don't want to do myself. I'm a very satisfied customer.

After moving into our new home, we had some severe overflow problems with the gutters during the heavy rains in late May. It was clear that the downspouts were clogged and needed cleaning badly, and rather than have water in the basement, we got right on task. After a quick search on Angie's List, All Surface had good marks and we decided to call for an estimate. Bob from All Surface came out to check out the gutters and give an estimate on a Thursday afternoon. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the company's services. He showed me a list of their gutter cleaning services, and I chose to have the gutters cleaned by hand and opted to have screens installed on the downspouts. There was a little back and forth to schedule a date for the crew to come out, complicated by the fact that a.) it's spring in Oregon and b.) there was a small mix-up over the installation of gutter screens that resulted in a few more calls and the need to send a crew out to the house a second time. Responsiveness was good. The All Surface crew came out and did a fine job with cleaning the gutters, as far as I can tell. It really hasn't rained (of course), but from what I can see, everything looks clear. According to my girlfriend (who was home at the time), one of the workers was using a hose that hit one of our larger, windows (fairly hard) on the side of the house while he was cleaning the gutters. I wouldn't be overly concerned about this except that our house was built in 1915 and the window in questions is super old with single pane glass. No damage done, but I graded Professionalism a B. All in all, this was a good experience with All Surface and the price was excellent. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs gutter cleaning, as they have some great options for a very reasonable price.

Company was flexible and did what I asked them to do. They sent two people who were friendly, worked hard and were successful. Our gutter works now.

All Surface cleaned my roof despite the steep pitch (two other companies declined to do the work because of the steepness). They were delayed in arriving from another job but stayed late (until around 6:30 PM) in order to finish my roof in one day. The crew was pleasant to deal with, and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves. All Surface's scheduler worked hard to schedule the work in a timely manner. I was very happy with the work and the people at All Surface that I interacted with and will use them again the next time my roof needs cleaning.

They were very professional, courteous, and prompt. They came out right away and gave me a written quote.

They did a great job, and were able to complete it the day after I called due to a cancellation. The work was completed while I was at work. Because I was not home, I would have liked a note or summary on how it went and if there were any additional comments.

We scheduled an appointment for an estimate, which went fine. The estimator arrived promptly, was courteous, and even had a sense of humor. When we scheduled the work we were told it would take several weeks (they gave us a target date range) and that they would call us the day before they came out. We were disappointed by that, but went ahead and scheduled. Then at the end of the "target date range" the temperature fell below freezing for a couple weeks. They called us and said that our job would be delayed again because they couldn't work in below freezing conditions and that they would call us the day before they could come out. The continued delay was frustrating. We canceled the appointment and will use a different company.

Responsive to my request for bid. Once I selected their firm, I was told it would take several weeks prior to performing the work due to backlog of other jobs. Contacted us the day before the work performed, as per expectations. Showed up punctually and performed the work professionally.

This was the third time I've used this company to clean my gutters. The first time was in 2006, the second in 2007. I did not get my gutters cleaned last year because I had new ones put on. Overall, I've been pleased with their service. I like the fact that they will come out late in the year, after all of the leaves have fallen, to clean out the gutters. I would have given them an 'A' for punctuality, except due to a mix up, they didn't service my gutters on the day they said they would and due to the poor weather that occurred afterward, they couldn't service them until a week later. They did offer me a 10% discount, which I appreciated. I will probably use them again and don't expect a mix up in the future.

The do excellent work. Flexible with their scheduling, come out when they say they will, do good job and they have charged the same price to the past three years.

We asked for a gutter cleaning bid and received bids for all kinds of things: 1. cleaning - 3 level of service...you *have* get get the hand/bucket cleanout...really, there should just be one level, which is high quality. 1. basic 2. hand/buckets 3. +cleaning I believe? 2. moss removal 3. metal inside down-spouts (Angies thing) [up to 5 FREE or something like that] The company was professional. In any case, the price was over 2X! the second highest rated company on Angies...You read that right, 2X! for comparable service level (level 2 with hand scooping and buckets)...even more for Level 3...They talked about having the most ratings, but if you look at the current numbers, the second highest rated company (Gleaming a View) is very very close and I am not sure that the extra ratings is even statistically significant. My recommendation is to get bids for bigger jobs and pick your best option. We didn't have work done, so we cannot compare the quality and they were professional, but at 2X it's very difficult to justify...I could almost understand 10%, maybe 20%, but 100%+ more seems ridiculous: F for price, reasonable ratings otherwise, and N/A for quality.
