I was told by another co. that it would cost $4850 to replace bad parts in my heat exchange. So I was calling and asking for prices to replace system instead or repairing my old heat pump. Well Morris Heat and Air came and looked at the heat exchange and told me they could repair for less than $700, So Mr. Morris replaced the bad parts and work with my crazy schedule to repair my exchange for $680. I am very impressed with his honesty, knowledge and professionalism. He answered my questions about some of the other things that his company offers like the energy audits and the sealant they use to seal holes in the duct system. I am very happy with the job and the services that he performed. I would recommend Morris Heat and Air to friends and family.

Having previously had a positive experience with Morris Heat and Air, I decided to return to them when my AC unit was having additional issues. Unfortunately, this second service call was a different experience from the first. John spent more time discussing why we should consider replacing our HVAC system and was overall less interested in troubleshooting our current system. He seemed more inclined to propose a $4K+ system, than a few hundred dollar repair. Additional, what repair he did do was simply guesswork on his part. I can't fault him entirely, I did authorize his guesswork, but I guess I expected more from a professional, and therefore trusted him too much. In the end, we're still having the same issues, despite paying for "repairs", and I'm left to find a better technician to help. Additionally, he felt the need to put stickers on my AC units outside with his name and phone number. I'll certainly be removing those - very unprofessional to put stickers on others' property without permission.

After thoroughly going through your air conditioner system I could not find anything wrong with it that would cause it to freeze up other than the evaporator being wider than your furnace and butted up against your furnace without a transition duct and the only thing out of the ordinary and verifiable was a weak capacitor which was recommended to be replaced. Why you call that "guesswork" I dont know. I told you a weak capacitor would not cause your unit to ice up. I cleaned your outdoor coils gratis to better determine if your unit was low on refrigerant and upon checking was not. We are an open and honest company laying all options on the table. As discussed upon leaving your home and based on the information you had provided and the information gathered from your unit, it was likely a bad control board intermittently malfunctioning or a motor failing if you were being truthful about the unit freezing up. You and I agreed that it would be better to wait until the problem occurred again so that we could have evidence of the problem without guessing. I offered to replace both parts and you did not want to replace them. At no time did you ever call to inform me it was malfunctioning again, otherwise, I would have been at your home immediately to determine what the problem is. I dont feel it is fair to give us a D review, but at the end of the day, that is your choice. We keep detailed records of all service conducted on equipment by address, and yes, we do place stickers on the equipment we work on to give people a chance to call a company that is familiar with the products installed on your home. The unit offered to you for your room upstairs is a Daikin LV Series Heat Pump. You have one room being conditioned by a 10 SEER Carrier unit that is poorly installed. Before giving us a bad review, I would highly recommend tracking down the installers of the equipment on your home who installed a horizontal furnace/coil with no drain pan underneath and no float switch to prevent drain overflow which appears to have allready caused ceiling damage in your kitchen. If you would like a drywall professional to repair the obvious inconsistencies in your kitchen ceiling, let me know and I will give you his phone number. Since the initial installers did not size the duct system to ACCA Standards or even install the equipment to the minimum code requirements, YES, It would be better to have a long lasting installation covered under a 12 year warranty and capable of achieving 22 SEER. We set our customers up to have long lasting systems installed on their homes in hopes of getting their house to Net0. I offered 0% interest financing to help you have a high efficiency Daikin product installed on your home for a reason. Your home is also in need of being sealed and insulated correctly. As always we are not interested in working for people who are not willing to give us an opportunity to earn 5 stars. Why you didnt call back when the problem occurred, I dont know. You declined to replace parts that could have caused your problem and I offered to come back at no charge if the unit broke down again. You never called back. Because you never called back and put up a bad review on Angieslist, it is obvious that you have intentions outside calling us to fix your air conditioner. We serve 4-6 people a day every day of the year and you are the only one out of a customer base of over 10,000 customers that wishes to let the world know how bad we are. $800 down and $70 a month for 60 months to have your heat and air problem fixed and your utilities decreased with a 12 year warranty. Your only response to that was "Im not up there that much. Your unit is not fixed nor is it installed correctly. You have a 12" Return on a 2 ton unit that we typically install an 18" return on. We can help you have a more energy efficient home and we offer 0% interest financing to help you get there. We have NO PROBLEM fixing broken parts and diagnosing and repairing old air conditioners. At no time did I tell you your unit is irrepairable. I only informed you that no part is showing signs of failure nor is your unit showing signs of possible freezing. We have several homes at Net 0 in Oklahoma and those customers pay $20 a month for electricity every month. As much as we would like to be friends with all of our clients and have open conversation for the betterment of life in Oklahoma, it is obviously not possible. I do not appreciate your feedback. Had it been backed by knowledge and good intentions, it would have been greatly appreciated. I know that you mean nothing less than to destroy our reputation online and only you know the reasons why. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts. Not sure how you can extend a D for quality. We havent did anything we have proposed to do on your home outside of what you approved us to do. I recommended replacing your poor quality equipment installation the first time I laid eyes on it. At that time it was a bad blower motor capacitor causing your unit not to blow. And given repair and replacement options at that time, you chose to have the unit repaired and still have a 5 year warranty on the part installed through us. You chose to keep a poor quality system in commission. The part we installed is of the highest quality and is backed by a 5 year warranty. I think its possible that you are unable to afford to do anything outside of cheap repairs to keep your old system going. Its unfortunate, because your home needs a lot of work. And your system is pushing 20 years old. If you plan on living in Northeast Oklahoma, its gonna need to be replaced sooner or later. If you dont believe me, stick around for awhile. Im not going anywhere, Its strange that you would take Properties Plus Inc to court but wouldnt take time to put up a bad review for them. Maybe you should. You would fit in better over there.

I called Morris Heat and Air after my AC unit for my upstairs stopped working. John was immediately helpful and went out of his way to make me feel like I was his top priority. He arrived at my home when he said he would, and immediately went to work diagnosing the issue. He was able to immediately identify that my blower unit had a blown capacitor, and had me up and running in no-time. Additionally, John offered me a much-needed recommendation and quote on additional services - not in a pushy way, but in a very much welcomed way. I'll certainly be returning for future work if/when needed!

It went exceptionally well. John Morris, owner of the company, is a man of few words but his recommendations were right on target. Our system, all of it, was old and the house full of leaks. It was explained to us that we needed more than a new A/C unit - we needed to thoroughly repair the whole system in order to achieve efficiency and conserve energy. We understood the concept and are so happy with the results. A first class job.

John and his crew at Morris Heat and Air worked hard for us to get the systems replaced. It took a few weeks before all the work was done. They had to wait on parts and for the electric company to run tests, but once they came to work they would stay until they got it done. One night they were there until about 10 pm with our permission. Both systems run great and we will call John if they ever break down.
Description of Work: I had a problem with my downstairs A/C not working. John Morris came out within hours of me calling and diagnosed the problem quickly. We ultimately decided to replace our upstairs and downstairs systems rather than fix them due to the ages of the units. John ran extensive tests and calculations allowing us to downsize our units, but make our upstairs more comfortable. He recommended multiple ways to insulate the house and seal our leaky ducts. He was knowledgable of all the rebates we would qualify for and worked hard with the electric company to get them for us. I would definitely recommend Morris Heat and Air for anyone that needs an HVAC contractor.

Thanks [Member Name Removed]. I appreciate you guys letting us fix your house. I cannot emphasize enough that those neighborhoods in your area have a few things in common. Oversized Units, Undersized Ducts, Leaky Houses and Leaky Ducts. In your case the home leakage was 3200 and we got it down to 1950. And your duct leakage was 212 and we got that to 96.5. We reduced the overall cooling capacity of the house from 6.5 tons to 3.75 tons and I am certain you will be more comfortable. Though the rebates help, I wish there was more to be done to build homes right. However, if homes were built correctly, people probably wouldnt be foreclosing on them and moving as frequently. Nonetheless, I really do appreciate you and your family taking the time to review us on Angieslist and hiring us to make your home more energy efficient. If you ever need help with anything please let me know.

The Technician was quick to respond and identify the problem. He was able to repair the leak and recharge the unit in a quick amount of time. He also was able to identify a capacitor that was almost ready to fail and replaced it. That will save me from a future service call to replace it. The Technician has an extremely good knowledge of AC/Heat function and repair. He was fast and the price was fair. Can't ask for much more than that so I will use him again if needed.

see above. Great work. They even got the closed parts store to open special so they could get the fan motor they needed in order to make the repair immediately and not wait until Monday!
Description of Work: called at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. Showed up by 6:30 pm on that same saturday. Had unit repaired by 9:00 pm on that same saturday. Temperature in house was 88 degrees (set point of 75). Looked at a variety of things. Diagnosed it as a fan motor. While John went to get the new fan motor, his colleague stayed behind and cleaned the coils on the broken outer unit as well as the functioning second outer unit. John got back, they replaced the fan motor. And within 12 hours my house was back down to set point of 75 degrees.

My wife and I recently purchased our first home and about 30 days after we moved in the central air conditioner wasn't blowing cold. We were told that the unit was only about 7 years old. I called Brian Heat and Air and spoke with Brian. I told him that the unit was blowing cold air when we first moved in but stopped blowing cold a few days ago. I told him that I thought we only needed to have Freon added. Brian could not make to do the service call so he outsourced the job to Morris Heating and Air. John came to check the unit and he told us that our coil condenser was not compatible and that we will need to replace our whole system cheapest rate was $1200. He also told us that the Freon needed for our unit was no longer available. We were refereed to another company after we got the quote from Brian's Heat and Air. The other company looked and the unit and saw that the outside connection wasn't welded properly and that we had no coolant in the system. He fixed the weld to prevent the leak and charged the unit with Freon. They also let us know that our unit was using the most update date coolant and not the out of date Freon. He was in and out with in 45 mins and fixed the issue for about $300.00. I feel that John was trying to find an easy fix and charge more money by trying to have us replace the condenser coil. He also did not mention the leak that was coming from the bad weld job on the outside connection to the unit or tell us that the unit was out of Freon which was what we suspected in the first place. John spent more time talking to me about converting my home to solar than he did on the issues with my air unit.

Thank you for your review for www.morrisheatandair.com. In response to your F rating, I feel obligated to rebuttal what you have written. For starters, Brians Heat and Air does not out source work to Morris Heat and Air. John Morris, an employee of www.morrisheatandair.com has also worked for Brians Heat and Air since 2011 and met him through another company called Enterprise Compressed Gas where John Morris worked as a sales representative. I have talked to John regarding this review and finally understand everything as it really is. John is a very thorough heating and air conditioning professional and holds certifications for Mechanical, EPA Refrigerant Handling, OSHA, NABCEP, and Building Performance Institute Energy Analysis and Duct Leakage Testing. John Morris speaks at local area tech schools and educates students about refrigerant recycling and technical processes in diagnosing problems within air conditioners, heat pumps, and gas furnaces. I saw all the pictures that were taken at your home as well as the service report and it looks like John was correct in his diagnosis. Your Condenser Coil is a Concorde Model Number 4AC13L36P-3A and Serial Number 1910A02280 and is designed with a factory charge of 5 pounds 9 ounces of R-410A. Your indoor evaporator is a Trane Model Number 2TXCB042BCHCAA and Serial Number B143X505G and is designed for "R-22 Only" which is what the data plate says and I have a picture of it. I would like to encourage every angies list customer to contact both tech support departments for both manufacturers and ask if these coils are compatible. O'Connor Company Trane Tulsa can be reached at (918) 459-2000 just ask for tech support and Concorde Tech Support can be reached at 1-800-448-5872. Just ask for tech support. John Morris Never suggested or imposed the changing of the entire system, just the evaporator coil. There were 2 options. One was a Goodman Brand Evaporator all aluminum evaporator with a 10 year warranty for $1200 see the link below to be directed to the product brochure http://www.goodmanmfg.com/docs/librariesprovider6/air-handlers-and-coils-brochures/cb-evapcoil-g.pdf?sfvrsn=2 and the other option was an ADP coil for around $950 which was verbally mentioned, but not seriously considered due to the fact ADP coils have copper/steal coils that allow for formicary corrosion to set in within 6-15 years. John Morris never said the refrigerant is unavailable for either types. John Morris is a sales representative for a refrigerant recycling company that has access to all refrigerants across the board. It is our opinion that it is impossible to fix a leak and pull a deep vacuum below 500 microns in 45 minutes or less. John Morris also notated on his service report for your address at [Removed Personal Info] that your capacitor on your outdoor condenser was weak on the fan side. It was rated for 45-5 at 440VAC and was at 45-4.3 at 440VAC. Anytime your capacitors are out of range by more than 5%-10% they need to be replaced. If not, it can cause permanent damage to the motor associated with the weak capacitor. In this case, your condenser fan motor. John Morris never adressed a leak because you have incompatible equipment. Had you moved forward with his recommended repair option, not only would you have had the proper evaporator installed with a 10 year warranty, but he would have also found that leak and fixed it for free. I guarantee that! John Morris is a Solar System Installation professional and mentions the benefits of solar to all of his clients no matter what company he works for. I feel like it is unfair that you have placed a bad review for a company that doesnt even advertise in your area and you never called. It is very disturbing that you claim to have paid Morris Heat and Air $75 when you havent and Brians Heat and Air reimbursed you the entire $75 you paid to his company. I could not find an invoice for you initially but after talking to John Morris and Brians Heat and Air we did some research and got to the bottom of it. I also took time to conduct a search into public records for Andre Code at www.oscn.net for Tulsa County. We are not at war with your pocket book and are very happy you have purchased a new house and are newly married. At no time did we ever rip you off or try to lie to you to benefit financially. We are a service provider and are here for our community. I apologize in advance if you really feel like we deserve an F, but you have never called our company for services. In most cases we take care of customer complaints immediately because we take them very seriously, but in this case, there is nothing that we can do.

I called John Monday morning with a request for him to come take a look at my furnace because the pilot wouldn't stay lit. He came out the same day checked the furnace all out and called me back with the potential problems. The Blower had a bad capacitor and it was dirty which was cutting down on the airflow, while he was at it he checked the evaporator coil and it had the same problem, it was clogged with dirt. He give the price of $435 and I give him the go ahead to clean it all up and fix the problems it had along with replacing my filter and capacitor. He informed me that ONG was giving rebates for getting this kind of service done. In all John was very pleasant and professional to deal with, in the future I will be calling Morris heating and air for all my HVAC needs and would strongly recommend that you give him a call before you call anyone else.

I called in the afternoon to see if someone could come out because my heater would not get warm. It took a while for John to make it to my house. It was almost 9pm, but I was shocked that he still came out that! He stayed in contact with me the whole evening to assure me he would be out. He had to order a part and came out on a Sunday morning to install it. He was quick and courteous. He even told us about a rebate from our gas company that we qualified for. I will definitely call him again in the spring to service the air conditioner.

John is a very professional repairman and we were a new customer so he had to work us in. He is very knowledgeable and has the latest equipment needed to make a good repair or new install. I stayed with him while he and his helper installed my new outside AC unit. I was very surprised that before he started up the new unit he went into my breaker box and replaced my 60 amp breaker with a 50 amp one. He said the new unit was more efficient and didn't require the 60 amp breaker and it would be too large for the new unit. You don't usually get someone that pays that close attention to detail. John also went online and registered the new unit so the warranty would be there if ever needed. He also has great communication skills that allow him to explain in detail and keep you informed of the progress. Give his company a try, you won't regret it.

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Angieslist. We really enjoyed working with you and your family. I really hate that your existing Armstrong Air system had a hole in the condenser coil after just 8 years. I am very confident that this will not happen to your newly installed Goodman Manufacturing Company condenser. If it does, your newly installed system is backed by a 10 year parts warranty. Thanks again and be sure to sign up for annual maintenance to ensure your system continues to operate optimally year after year and we will guarantee the unit for Life!

I had John with Morris Heat and Air come out to work on my AC unit. John was very friendly and professional. He came out the same day I contacted him and was willing to work until he got the job done. John worked from 8 PM until 10:30 PM on my AC unit to repair it, clean it, and place protective sheathing on the wiring that the previous installers failed to do. Everything that John did he was willing to explain to me and if there was a cost involved he let me know and got my approval before doing the work. I wish that I had known about Morris Heat and Air prior to having my system updated and installed as I believe that I would have received a better job than what I got initially.
