Our garage door spring broke on the 27th. I looked up garage door contractors on Angie's List on the evening of the 28th. I called Mr. Barksdale at about 8 PM, just wanting to get his phone number in my cell phone so I could call him in the morning. Much to my surprise, he answered and, after I explained my problem, said he would be over to fix our door in about an hour!! Now remember, this is at 8 PM on a Monday night! He arrived in about an hour, quickly diagnosed the problem, and recommended that I go ahead and replace the other torsion spring as well. I agreed and he proceeded to take off and replace both springs in about 15 minutes. Not only did he replace the springs, he lubricated the tracks and the screw drive as well. I was so impressed with his dedication, his good work, and his willingness to come work on our door at 9 PM, I gave him a $15 tip. He was very professional and personable and you can tell he's a hard worker. I highly, highly recommend Mr. Barksdale. If you need service on your garage door, he is the man to call.

It went very well. He gave us a free estimate and his pricing was very reasonable. He was quick to respond, showed up on time, and did quality work. We wish more of the people working on our house were as careful as he was.

19 degrees outside; two days after the blizzard of 2011 and my attempts at getting out of the driveway and to work were exacerbated by a broken garage door. Once I got to work I found Rick's company on Angies List; they were close by and had excellent reviews. I called and within an hour they were to my house and to work. Rick diagnosed the problems, quoted only a $70 service call fee to do the work but then discovered one of the tracks had to be replaced which added a mere $20 bucks to the job. They were done in under an hour. A great job, professional and informative every step of the way. Will definitely use the company again - have already discussed adding a seal around the opening when the weather warms up.

Mr. Barksdale was very punctual on a Saturday morning. He explained each step as he was working because I had never seen a seal replaced. When he operated the door (manual operation) he noticed that it was hard to open. He indicated that he could fix that and he lubricated rollers and channels at no additional cost.

I couldn't have been more impressed with Rick. I called him in the early afternoon and found him to be very nice and easy to talk to on the phone. He came over to work on the garage a couple of hours later, which was amazing. The other company I tried before this one never even returned my call. The price was reasonable and he did a great job!

After reading reviews on Google, I decided to give Mr. Barksdale a call. Rick didn't disappoint. He was super friendly, fast, helpful, and his services were very reasonably priced. If you're in the south metro and need work done on your garage door, I encourage you to give him a call.
