Brad was the general contractor for all the work done on our pool. He coordinated with the crews who did the actual work. There were different crews for each job that was done. Overall, our pool repair project went quite well. It took about one month to complete all the work - which is what we had originally scheduled with Brad. Brad had some problems scheduling the subs to do their jobs - getting them to work on our pool. But he persevered and everything got done on time. The quality of the work was very good. We are very happy with our pool and used it a great deal during the hot summer we just experienced. The appearance of our pool was greatly improved with the new tiles, flagstone coping, and refinishing the concrete deck. And eliminating the air bubbles in the pool water by replacing the skimmer and lines was a big improvement. We are very happy that we did the upgrades and repairs to our pool. Brad was very good to work with - very accomodating to our requests and helpful with ideas on what we should do to improve our pool. He is very knowledgeable about swimming pools and their operation. We have continued to use Brad for ongoing service to our pool - opening it, closing it, etc. We are very pleased with the work that he did for us.

Brad Segard does appliance repair in addition to pool service, and during pool season is of limited availability for other work. He does fine work, backs up his work, is honest and receives high marks from me for telling it like it is. Occasionally he gets stacked up and has to reschedule. I gave him a B on punctuality because if your time is inflexible and your priority is getting somebody who is perfect at arriving at a certain time to work on your appliances then Brad might not be your guy - especially during pool season. Brad's priority during pool season is the pool service, but he is always my first call when I have an appliance repair need no matter what season it is. I am on my 4th dishwasher since moving into this house in the fall of 1998. Before that I had purchased a dishwasher for our old house in about 1994, and oh how I wish that I had brought it with me to the new house. It was a Kitchen Aid, but since they don't make 1994-style Kitchen Aids any more, that really is irrelevant. If memory serves me correctly I found Brad between dishwasher number 2 and dishwasher number 3. (He had acid-washed our pool, did a great job by the way.) Dishwasher number 1 was a cheap contractor grade appliance that came with the house that did not wash the dishes. I am trying to remember what happened to dishwasher number 2, but it didn't last more than a few years. Dishwasher number 3 was replaced last spring after a piece of broken glass broke the impeller. Now, I know something about pumps and impellers - for example, to save money, I learned to clean the heavy duty plastic impeller on our pool pump myself. The issue with the dishwasher impeller as explained to me by Brad, was that a piece of broken glass had in turn broken the cheap plastic impeller , and that the impeller was integrated into a part of a larger modular unit that to replace would have cost more than half the cost of an entire dishwasher. There was no guarantee that this wouldn't happen again because the impeller in the replacement unit was cheap plastic, too. So, I opted to junk dishwasher number 3, went to the library and read Consumer Reports and then got a sturdily constructed Bosch from Harry's TV and Appliances. Unfortunately the Bosch doesn't have room to accomodate my desire never to have to hand-wash pots and pans. It also requires more thought about the best way to load than your average American model, which irritates other family members. There are trade-offs, folks, and no they do not make things the way they used to. It might have have been worth it to pay the extra hundred bucks or so for the silverware baskets that ran in a single line for the entire length of the bottom rack instead of two columns half as long, in order to be able to accommodate more stuff in the bottom rack. This dishwasher holds a phenomenal number of plates, but if you have deep soup and cereal bowls instead of more broad ones, they are hard to fit. Also, this time I chose a washer with a removeable filter which has to be removed and cleaned periodically, but that means that once the filter is clean the dishwasher actually gets the dishes clean. By the time I got around to replacing the dishwasher it was pool season again, and I took Brad's advice and had the folks at Harry's install the dishwasher. They did fine.

Brad measured twice to ensure he had the correct measurements for our vinyl liner of our pool. removed the old liner, thoroughly cleaned the pool area before installing the new liner.

Brad did an excellent job. He showed up when he said he would and was very professional. The first pool liner was defective and he came back a month later and put in a second new liner, at no additional cost. I used him later to repair a belt on my dryer. I would highly recommend him.

I really like him. He's someone who really cares about getting the job done properly. The first time he came out, we wanted him to put in a pool heater. He was going to put one in that was half the size of what it was supposed to be, which my husband found out through his own research. There was also another issue when a pool cover caved in. In the end, he has come out and made sure everything's okay. He will make the necessary corrections.

Brad could have scheduled a service call and, of course, charged me and given the same advice. Instead, he saved me the charge and generously gave me the information I needed. When I need pool service in the future, I'll be contacting Brad.

Brad is very nice, prompt, honest, and professional. He showed up when he said he would, fixed the pump in just a couple of hours, and was gone. He did a great job. I would recommend him.
