Turned an outside water spicket and it must have been frost frozen from last winter, so I turned it off to deal with later. Didnt realize there was a problem till water till I walked into my office to find it had flooded my office and garage from inside the wall. Must have been going for 5-10 minutes. Luckily I was able to turn of the main water shut off and stopped the flooding. Called two people on Angies List and they were all too busy to send someone out. Called two people on Angies List and they were all too busy to send someone out. Could even pormise someone from tomorrow. Frantic as I waterless! Kept going down the list of all "A" providers. Ruth heard my stress and said a crew just finished a job and she was sending him over! 1/2 later he showed up! Even after works hours! Working on it now! What a relief! Thank you WyattWorks Plumbing! Super nice guy did the job and we are all good. So freindly and helpful! They should be top on the list!

We had two plumbers come to give an estimate on this work at our rental property. WyattWorks called me to confirm the appointment and again when they were on the way to the house, as promised. (The other plumber, which I had used before, came several hours late and didn't call at all.) The two men who came were very knowledgeable and experienced. They were wonderful about reassuring me when they said they had to tear the living room wall section out and they kept the damage to a minimum. They were able to do the work right away, which was very convenient for us. They were clean, polite, neat and cleaned up the mess when they were done. I liked that they used latex gloves because the job really was a dirty one. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for more competent & pleasant people to work with. The price both plumbers quoted was about the same, so though it was expensive, it was also a lot of work and the cost was understandable and fair. I felt that the plumbers from WyattWorks really cared about doing a quality job. I couldn't have been more pleased.

We had a hideous sewage order coming from our basement and we could initially thought it was because our sump pump stopped working. We called Wyatt and they were very responsive and came within a couple of days. They replaced our pump and cleared out the main line to the street which they could see was clogged (or so we thought it was clear!). After trying to access the line outside of the house to clear, they stopped and decided to access from the inside. They were very friendly and explained everything. The smell was gone, was back within weeks. We called Wyatt again and they were very responsive again, this time the owner came and it was determined the main line had to be flushed yet again! The owner and his assistant luckily were able to find the access point from the outside which was much more effective when they cleared it out. They even marked it so it would be easy to find in the future. They were able to fix fortunately! Good job, wish it was fixed the 1st time though!

There were a few glitches and I can't help but feel better organization and communication between staff would be an improvement BUT when Andy was made aware of a problem, he responded very promptly and the situation was resolved each time. After resolution, he actually called to be sure I was satisfied. The gentlemen that did the work might have been a bit more thorough in checking but in fairness, some of the work could not be checked until caulk dried 24 hours later. There was no critical problem or problem that couldn't be quickly resolved and it was very obvious that Andy and Ruth in the office wanted the work done correctly and promptly. WyattWorks is among the best I have ever dealt with regarding communication with my husband and me. We were kept informed of when they would come, if there was a delay due to parts not coming in when expected, etc. This is something that I feel is very important and I could not have been more satisfied in that area. I would definitely use them again, in fact I plan to in the next year. Andy also was helpful in suggesting people who can assist with other matters I have with things he does not do. I chose good rather than excellent because of the glitches but I was very happy with them and feel that I do expect a lot. Very nice, very accommodating people. Just improving communication and double checking before leaving when possible would make them perfect which is very hard to be. I do feel they strive for perfection and they are close.
Description of Work: Andy first came out to determine our needs and the best solution. The work was then scheduled and completed. On our jetted tub in the master bath, a faucet was replaced and a hand held spray was added. A back up sump pump was installed in the basement. Andy located, ordered, and brought along all parts and materials which was very helpful. We felt the price for the materials and labor was very reasonable.

I called them because of my sanitary sewer was backing up in my basement when my wife did her laundry. They told me that it was best to water-jet the sewer from the clean-out in the front yard rather than from the basement drain. They were only able to go about 30 feet and couldn't go any further. So they sent a camera down to see what was blocking the water-jet from going any further. They discovered that my sanitary sewer line was collapsed about 8 feet in front of the house. They charged me full price for the water-jet even though they were not able to completely get through the line, which I do not think is appropriate. The camera charge was something like $185 which was agreed upon before they sent it down. They gave me an estimate of $5995.00 to dig up and replace the broken sanitary sewer line. They said the dig could possibly go up to the tree in my front yard which was not quite in the middle of my yard. They also said that I would lose my shrubs in the front yard where they had to dig. I was told that if I hired them to do the job that they would deduct the $555.95 that I already had paid them. I called up another contractor and got a quote that was much less than Wyattworks plumbing, so I went with them instead.

These folks are awesome. I've been wanting to write it here for a while, but one of the things you should look for in a plumber is consistency, so I held back reviewing until I felt I could judge that. We own an older house with a lot of plumbing. We've had a few companies through over the three years we've lived here, and none has been as reliable and quick as WyattWorks. In the three instances we've used them so far, they have responded very quickly, and within my availablility. They are extremely professional, personable, trustowrthy, and clearly knowledgable regarding their trade. Their work has been excellent. Josh and Jamal fixed our water heater last summer, the first time we called WyattWorks, in maybe an hour - after three fruitless (yet costly) visits from our previous plumbers. Luke and Ben have aced the last two problems, remarkable given the tricky old pipes they've to work with at times. I've had absolutely no problems with any of the work they've done, it's been excellent, although they offer a guarantee in case I did have problems. Also, and importantly: Cool employees all around, very attentive, offering different approaches (when possible), always telling you the exact cost upfront. Willing to work with your schedule. Professional and friendly. They clean up after themselves, they're nice to my cat and don't let him out. I don't have kids, but imagine they're great with kids. I really like these folks. I can't recommend them enough. They've got a loyal customer in me. Because they've earned it.
Description of Work: This visit: replaced the guts of a leaky showerhead, stopped the leak. Previous visits: replaced leaking tub pipes that were at tricky angles. Installed a new sink faucet. Installed new line/shutoff to outside spigot, and new spigot. Fixed leak and installed bladder on water heater.

Team: Luke and Ben (trainee) were extremely professional, clean, and prompt. Work: My bathroom tub was not draining properly. I tried to manually snake the drain myself but was unsuccessful. They used an electric snake to clean out old galvanized pipes in a 1920s home. The blockage was beyond the trap. They needed to put a device in (PVC pipe t-valve) to allow easier access to the trap/vent apparatus. This little maneuver made there snake job easier and any other drain unclogging that may follow much easier. They were extremely clean, polite, and fast. Price: High. Originally wanted just over 300$. Most plumbers were quoting 100-160s for snake jobs. Of course these numbers vary based on the charge for the technician to come to the home/mileage/depth of snake job etc. Lowest quote I had was 50$ from a local solo plumber and he never called me back. Advice: If you are up to it... go to home depot and rent an electric snake (1/4 inch) and give it a try as it will probably save you some money. I will trust the Wyatt team with any future jobs, although I know that I will need to do my homework on pricing and try to come to a reasonable deal with them.
Description of Work: Used a electric snake to clean out old galvanized pipes in a 1920s home. Also cut into vent PVC pipe apparatus and added a (t-valve?) entry point to allow easier access to snake the drain.

The problem with the hotwater took place in a house I am renting out. Because of this when I got the news of that Thursday evening I knew I could not use the plumber who usually works for me as a second job and is in high demand. Thus, following the reviews on Angie?s list, I contacted WyattWorks Plumbing Service around 7pm. I was attended immediately and we agreed they were calling me at 8.30-9.00. Not hearing from them, at 9:15 I called them. The service men were already at another job, but they should have been available around 10:30. We agreed that I was going to be called when they were ready and we would have met at the service location. This what happened and everything worked well. Josh Wyatt and another guy arrived perfectly on time, looked at the faucet and decided the problem was the valve. If everything worked fine, the price to repair it would have been $225, which looked reasonable, given the situation. Of course, the valve was around 50 year old and it was impossible to repair it. This meant that they had to substitute the entire block of valves and mixer. Fortunately, they had with them one kit that fitted. It was the simplest 2-handle MOEN set. However, the price went up to $800. I thought it was very expensive, but paying the call-fee and work they already had done and looking for another person would n?t have been much cheaper. So, they started working and in two hours the new valves were in and everything was working and clean. Overall, they were fast, punctual, the work seems well done, and I got a 2-year warranty on parts and workmanship: grade A for all of that. The only problem is the price: I checked with homedepot and the material cost was probably $150, $200 in worst case scenario. This left $600 for less than four hours of work: $150/hour during normal working hours. Of course, I know you pay also for the telephone service, the hardware wear, all the replace material inventory, the truck they must have to carry all, the accountant, etc. that you do not pay to a handyman doing it in his spare time. But, I had professionals coming to repair my oven, dishwasher, and even to replace my AC unit on July 4th, and nobody has charged such high price, maybe with the exception of a couple of guys who came to break a large icedam on my roof at 20-30F. It may be that a private would pay less for this service (I had the work done as a landlord, not as private), but still?.
Description of Work: The bathtub hot water stopped running (the cold water continued running). The plumbers first tried to repair the hotwater valve, but it was not possible because it was too old. So,they substituted the valves and handles of the bathtub faucet. No masonry work was necessary because a panel allowed access to the valves from behind. All the work consisted in taking off the old valves, put a new two-handle Moen set of valve and handles they provided, and make the relative connections.

Great! I called on Sunday to get something reserved for Monday evening or Tuesday morning. Got a call back after hours to come out Monday morning. It was excellent. They were early for our appointment, which was a surprise because they were not sure they would be able to come today. They were very courteous, polite and professional. I thought I was going to need a new garbage disposal, but they were able to find a small piece of plastic in there that was making all the noise, so they did not charge me anything extra for that. They also snaked a sink for me, which fixed the drainage problem I was having. I purchased a product from them to help prevent any future drain problems.

HE CAME PROMPTLY AND REPAIRED THE TOILET WITHIN MINUTES. WHILE HE WAS HERE I HAD HIM QUOTE REPAIRING A MAJOR IN-WALL LEAK. WE WERE UNCERTAIN OF WHAT WOULD BE FOUND IN THE WALLS AS THE HOUSE IS APP. 100 YEARS OLD. HE COULD ONLY GIVE A VERBAL ROUGH ESTIMATE, BUT WE AGREED TO REEVALUATE AS THE WORK PROGRESSED. WE SET 3/10/2014 FOR THE STARTING DATE. FROM THE OUTSET WE WERE IMPRESSED WITH THE CARE AND NEATNESS LUKE AND HIS HELPER EXHIBITED. AS THE CEILINGS AND WALLS WERE REMOVED WE REALIZED MORE WAS LEAKING THAN WE ORIGINALLY PLANNED. AFTER THE PLASTER AND PIECES OF WOOD WERE VERY CAREFULLY REMOVED, THE ARDUOUS TASK OF GENTLY, PIECE BY PIECE REMOVING THE LEAKING CAST IRON PIPES WITHOUT DAMAGING THE ANTIQUE WIRING WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT CUTTING AN ELECTRICAL WIRE OR CREATING MORE PROBLEMS. WE WERE GREATLY IMPRESSED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND THOUGHTFULNESS WITH WHICH THE MEN WORKED. ALTHOUGH WE HAD NOT EXPECTED THE JOB WOULD COST AS MUCH AS IT DID, WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR THE QUALITY AND CARE AND FEEL THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. THROUGHOUT, LUKE KEPT ME APPRISED OF THE INCREASE IN HIS ORIGINAL ESTIMATE AND EXPLAINED WHY THE COST WAS GOING TO BE MORE.

Awesome experience. Andy arrived within 2 hours of my initial call. Service took only a couple of hours and he had a selection of replacement faucets on hand to choose from. Andy took care to wipe feet and put on booties before walking into my house. He answered all my questions courteously and professionally. I had a little sticker shock at the final bill, but I had also asked for weekend service and chosen the more expensive faucett model, so I knew it would be high. I am very satisfied with the experience and would highly recommend them to anyone.

From the time that I contacted Wyatt's Ruth till the time the guys finshed the work and left was a total of 2 1/2 hours. Now that is customer service!!! Josh and Jamal showed up with a professional, no nonsense, but friendly, demeanor. Josh assessed the broken water line and faucet and within seconds had his plan in place. He thouroughly explained the most economical, yet effective, fix to the problem. (ie. remove old faucet, extract broken piping, replace with latest "plastic flexible pipe", furnish and install new faucet, furnish and install new shut off valve in the basement and repair foundation with hydraulic cement). As he worked iin the basement, Josh answered all my questions and he educated me regarding latest plumbing materials and their installation. Meanwhile Jamal was doing the outside work removing as much old pipe as possible, retreiving the new "plastic flexible pipe" and fishing it through the side of the house to the basement, attaching the flexible pipe to the new faucet and finally reattacheing faucet to the house. Once finished outside Jamal helped finish the cement work in the basement. These two plumbers make a great team! My background in construction management covers large industial, oil/gas and power staton projects. Now this may be a small plumbing outfit but they definitely know how to do quality, cost effective work and conduct business in a professional manner.

Josh Wyatt arrived on time with a younger partner, very clean and professional. They were both polite, clean, well dressed, and wore booties over their shoes when entering my house, which I appreciated. Josh explained exactly what he was going to do, and gave an accurate price up front. Fortunately (or unfortunately), they had the problem resolved in less than 15 minutes. Once he was finished, Josh explained what he did, and was able to answer my questions and concerns about the future. I cannot tell they were here - they left no mess or evidence, other than my working sink. This was a small job, for sure - but Josh's performance and professionalism has given me a local plumber I will certainly call in the future.

Andy Wyatt, the proprietor, returned my phone call within minutes, even though I called well outside of business hours, and he sent two highly trained, professional, and personable technicians the next morning--Luke and Ben. They clearly knew what they were doing throughout the project, offering me alternative solutions to the problem and updating me on progress along the way. At each stage I was informed of the estimated cost; I also felt as if I was given enough information to make good decisions as the scope of the problem became clearer. The end result was a much improved drainage system--and the prospect of much sounder sleep during the spring thaw. I would recommend WyattWorks enthusiastically for the company's know-how, professionalism, courtesy, and value.

Called Wyatt works on Saturday morning because of a leak coming from under the washer. Friday night I discovered it was coming from the hose behind the washer. We tightened the connection of the hose where the leak was coming from and then we turned off the water in the laundry room to stop the leak. When I called Wyattworks they came out within an hour and a half. He fixed the hose and tightened the faucets. After he left I started the wash and the water did not work. So I checked the faucets and they were on. I called the repairman back and he returned within 10 minutes. Don't know what we did but we got it to work. I am so happy to beable to call someone and get a response without having to wait two weeks for someone to come out. What great service. I have used Wyattworks previously and was very pleased with their work. Thank you so much for your help.

January 29th at 10:45 pm we called WyattWorks Plumbing because a frozen pipe had burst and we heard and saw water seeping from behind one of our bathroom walls. We spoke with Jamal who had Josh call us within five minutes. Josh had us shut off the main water valve, told us to relax because now nothing more would happen, and said he would see us in the morning. At 10:30 the next morning, Josh and Jamal arrived and explained everything they were probably going to have to do to repair the pipe. We appreciated the fact that in order to make the repair, they made sure the holes made in the ceiling were as small as possible. While they were here, they also noticed a problem with our toilet and repaired that as well. After their work was completed, Josh advised us that before we restore the ceiling, we should insulate the area around the pipes to help prevent this from happening again. Both Josh and Jamal were courteous, quick to get the job done correctly, and cleaned everything up before leaving. There was a $50 Angie's List coupon they honored which was a nice bonus. Although they are not the least expensive plumbers, sometimes it is worth spending a little more to get the job done right and as soon as possible, and this is what WyattWorks did. We would definitely use them again.
