Rippe Brothers Appliance Repair

They are good. We have had them come out twice. They put all the things in, they cleaned up.

Called ahead and showed up on time. The technician seemed very knowledgeable and installed the dishwasher in about an hour. He wasn't rushing at all. He took time to test it to make sure it was working properly. Then, he took the time to show me the features...how to set up a wash and the different options also how to clean the filter. I had checked two hardware stores for the longer drain hose when BestBuy couldn't provide one. Rippe Brothers ordered the part, and they came out and installed the dishwasher and brought the new part within two days. BestBuy even agreed to pay for the part since I had the extended warranty. I am very pleased with the installation especially since a plumber was going to charge $250, and I doubt they could have done any better. This is my first experience with Rippe Brothers, and I will call them next time I have a major appliance break down since that seems to be their main type of service.

Was more than the washer was worth.

Technician came within time promised. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what needed to be done. He worked quickly, and was thorough in explaining what was wrong and how it could be fixed. He had the needed part with him. Gentleman was pleasant and very helpful. Thanks very much!

Our Kenmore dryer was putting off any heat. It is out of warranty, so I wanted to try to fix it on my own if possible. With the help of the female that answers the phone, we were able to narrow down the potential issues. I then tested different fuses, and found what I thought to be the issue. I took the different fuses and parts in, and they tested them for me as well! They had the part that we needed, advised on the installation, and then I went home and fixed it. Now the dryer works good as new. The professionalism and support from Rippe was fantastic! I only marked the price as a "B" due to the part being less on some online sites. But, when you need a dryer to run that day, you go for it. Plus we like supporting local businesses.

While they didn't fix the dishwasher- they advised us that we could still use it or get a new one, but that for him to repair it would cost more than half of what the dishwasher cost one year ago. He suggested some ways to "help" it not be so noisy, like dishwasher cleaners. He was nice and professional.

While attempting to dry a load of clothes last week, my wife and I thought that something within the dryer had broken. The drum would not turn. Pressing the "on" button produced a quick hum, as if the dryer was activating. But the drum didn't rotate and when we stopped pressing the button, all mechanism activity ceased. So, I came here to Angie's List, and given Rippe Brothers performance review, called them to schedule an appointment. No problems there. I scheduled the appointment for today. The repairman arrived within the agreed upon window. He took a look and a listen to the dryer. Then he opened the dryer door, pressed the "door is closed button" with his foot so the dryer would "think" the door had been closed and then pushed the "on' button while rotating the drum counter clockwise with his hand. The dryer responded instantly, turning on while he held the "door is closed" button in with his foot. When he shut the door, the dryer also turned on. Problem solved. All of this took less than one minute. He did not perform any other diagnostics, or "open up" the dryer to take a look at the mechanical parts in any way. He didn't have to do so. It was working again. He explained to me that sometimes a spring catch mechanism behind the door casing doesn't catch (or release) all of the way. By turning the drum while activating the dryer, one can get the spring to catch/release. That was great to learn, and I'll know what to do in the future should this ever occur again. Then he told me that the charge for the service call was $75. The repairman was professional and friendly and courteous. I don't have an issue with him in terms of conduct or performance. He was perfectly fine and helpful. But I take issue with the fact that I was charged the full service and diagnostic fee of $75 (which was after an Angie's List coupon). Everything I described took place within about a minute. It took me more time to write the check than it did for him to "fix" the dryer. I understand perfectly that Rippe Brothers is running a business and that the $75 (again after coupon) is the standard price for a service call. And I certainly would have expected to pay some type of fee for the repairman's time ---- and would have done so gladly. But the full fee for a minute of work is unreasonable and certainly doesn't encourage me to call Rippe Brothers in the future. Perhaps the repairman doesn't have the discretion to make adjustments on his own. That would be understandable. But if that were the case, perhaps it would have been appropriate to call into the main office, let the manager know of the special circumstances of service call, and ask if a reduced charge could be approved. I am grateful that the dryer is working, and I am pleased that that even more expensive work was not required. Again, what the repairman did for our dryer was perfectly fine and appreciated. But I do not believe that his efforts were worth the full price of s standard service/diagnostic call.

I was very pleased with the technician. Was able to suggest and execute an inexpensive fix to the problem.

Ken was the Rippe brother that came out to our home. He obviously has a lot of knowledge and experience with large appliances. He explained what he was doing and why - I want to understand my appliances and find the insides interesting. I felt comfortable with Ken in the house and liked his approach to diagnosing the problem. He works quickly and efficiently and cleaned out the lint on the inside of the dryer with his shop vac. I would this company's services again.

I got their name from a neighbor. They were very knowledgeable, professional and cleaned up their mess. They were very good. I am very happy with the services. I figured the price would be cheaper than a new one and that is what I was interested in. It is still washing dishes. They were very good on responsiveness. Professionalism was very nice.

The repair man showed up within the window of time stated by the office. Diagnosed the failure and ordered the part. Returned at the agreed to time and finished the repair. Everything went as it was agreed to.

Rippe Brothers came to my house on time. Looked at the dishwasher said it was the control panel. Tried to order the part, the part was unavailable. Told me I would have to buy a new dishwasher and my service charge would go toward the installation of the new one. Before the new one was delivered, Rippe called and said my old dishwasher was on recall. The lady gave me a number to call and the authorization number to use to have my dishwasher fixed at no cost. I called the number, set up an appointment and was very happy when my dishwasher was good as new. I would call Rippe Brothers in the future for all my appliance repairs.

They answered the phone right away. I was able to make the appointment the next day and they were right on time, professional a d priced fairly.

They came out to fix the dryer and had the whole dryer apart in about 15 min, pulled the lady's nylon hose that was stuck in the gear of the motor, and put the dryer back together. He was very professional. We would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to others as well.

Over the past 15 years we have had Rippe Brothers do the service on all our kitchen and laundry appliances. We have always found their prices to be reasonable, there technicians to be on time and very professional in their manner. Our dryer quit working and I called and had them come over. The broken circuit board was discovered and instead of replacing the circuit board, a $120.00 part, he simply repaired with solder the broken component in the board. We will continue to use Rippe Brothers for our appliance repair.

I couldn?t be happier with the service we received and the amazing customer service provided by our Service Technician Mike. He arrived promptly and within the timeframe we were given. He spent an hour and a half working on our 3 year old GE dishwasher. He quickly detected our problem with the dishwasher?s draining issue. He went right to work on fixing the problem. I feel he went above and beyond when he not only cleaned the inside of the dishwasher, but went into great detail on how to properly maintain it. He explained the process of troubleshooting issues ourselves in case we encountered problems in the future. As my husband said, ?You can?t beat the price for the level of service we received.? We will absolutely use Rippe Brothers for all of our future needs. They guarantee all parts, labor and service so how can you go wrong. Thank you to Mike and everyone at Rippe Brothers!

The technician was very knowledgeable and thorough in their work. They took the time to disassemble the inside of the dishwasher and clean out all the built up debris causing our dishes not to be clean. We appreciate the attention to detail, while working quickly.

Just from telling them what was happening, they knew what was wrong. They were there within 2 days after ordering the part they needed. They gave me a phone estimate. They did the work to my liking. It was all in budget and well done.

Excellent in every way! I called Rippe Brothers as they were A rated on Angie's list. I was calling after their normal work hours. They returned my call early the next morning and scheduled to come within two days, giving a two hour window of 4-6 p.m. Joe did a great job. He was punctual, pleasant, capable and efficient. He also reminded us of Rippe's $10 coupon to reduce the bill. We will certainly call on Rippe Brothers again and also recommend them to others.

Overall experience with this company is very bad. Ridiculous charges. They are 3 miles away from my house but I still got trip Charges for $59.95. Then there is another charge for diagnostics which is for $80. When I asked about the charges they said that I did not ask about them when making an appointment. I called and said that my microwave is not working. I don't know what all failed but they came and fixed it. After two days I realized that the light is still not working. I called them back and asked about it. The lady who picked the phone bluntly said that I did not request for it. The one good thing with them was I got my broken microwave plate replaced with a new one which is around $65. They did not charge me for it. May be I'm one customer who did not get proper service or may be I did not communicate properly. Whatever let this one bad experience not take the credit away for the good work they have done in the past.

Overall, the service, and the repair were excellent. The problem started on New Years Day morning when my wife stepped in a puddle of water, right in front of the frig. We discovered that despite power going to the frig, and the fan blowing, the temperature inside was about 60 degrees. We knew something was wrong. We surveyed Angie's List to find a local, reputable repair shop that would come to fix it. We found Rippe Brothers Appliance, and called them the next day. Luckily for us, they had an open slot and came over in just a few hours. He did a quick inspection. replaced a relay, and was done in less than an hour, and for a reasonable cost. I would call Rippe Appliances for my next appliance repair.

They schedule the appointment during the christmas week, they arrived on time perform the check and found what was wrong. They had to return because they need a replacement part for my washer machine. They came back and fix it for good. Is working fine since them. Very polite and right to the work. Will definetely call them again if need and will recommend them to anyone who needs their service.
