Rippe Brothers Appliance Repair

Did a competent service call. Determined the washing machine had broken welds on basket and the main bearing was shot. Time for a new washer. They did a timely, competent job and service call charge was typical for having someone come out right away. Though the old machine was not repairable, I would call them again if the new machine started acting up.

He took the time to investigate the most obvious areas that might have caused the noise and then move to the less likely. He was comfortable with my input and history about the dishwasher which helped in the final solution. I would use them again. I also have friends that have used them and been pleased. He seemed very knowledgeable. I have the feeling that Rippe Brothers was less expensive than having a Maytag repair person come from the Dayton area.

Great! Repair person showed up on time, was able to quickly diagnose the hose had failed due to the heat of the machine (had been years since I had cleaned the back of it. He explained how the hose was damaged, noted where it was split. Repaired it with the existing hose. Used a Angie's List coupon that took $10 off.

Phone representative was great , she did an awesome job. We had to reschedule due to our driveway resurfacing had to get done when it was good weather, and it was no problem, they rescheduled it for the following day. He got their on time and found the problem with the refrigerator within a few minutes. Minor adjusting of a small reservoir and cleaning out of the tubing due to it having some junk in it. The dryer was also a quick fix, with a replacement of a solenoid. I was worried that we would need two new appliance (they are both quite old). But now they are both back to working order. The disposal was a bust, but I knew that anyway and don't use it.

When I called, I pleased to be offered an appointment first thing in the AM the next day. The repairman (Mike B.) arrived on time, worked quickly and methodically to solve our problem and was very polite/professional. Based on this experience, I would not hesitate to contact Rippe Brothers in the future for any appliance repair work needs.

The microwave was having multiple problems: 1. It sometimes doesn't heat the food while on. 2. It sometimes stays on past the input cook time. 3. It had sparks shoot out of the inside of the microwave while cooking. All of these issues were described in detail to the folks at Rippe. I was in contact with someone in their customer service department (Brittany) while the microwave was in the shop. I would often write an email and wouldn't hear back for a week or more. I wondered if I hadn't followed up multiple times if they would have ever even gotten to it. Ultimately it took a month for them to tell me that they think they fixed the issue by adjusting the hinges on the door, but didn't know for sure if it was fixed. I even asked them to make sure it was fixed before I came to pick it up. When I got home and remounted the unit, I had the same problems I had before (on the first use). When I requested a refund of the diagnostic fee ($30) because the problem wasn't successfully diagnosed or fixed, I received a response 11 days later that I would have to bring the microwave back in and they would re-look at it again. After such a bad experience, I wasn't willing to do that. Had they simply apologized (which never happened) and refunded the diagnostic fee, I wouldn't have been so disgruntled. An additional note; most of the email responses were less than professional. The manner of communication did not make me feel like a valued customer.

We have a 2007 GE profile French Door Bottom Freezer PFS22MIWAWW refrigerator that stopped cooling in both the bottom freezer and upper refrigerator compartments. We called Rippe Brothers, gave them the information and set up an appointment. Mike, the repair tech, was there when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem as requiring a new mother board and relay. These items were installed immediately which cured the problem. The service call together with installation took approximately 30 minutes. The job was done professionally and Mike was pleasant to deal with. The price, we felt, was a fair one. We would highly recommend this appliance repair company.

Technician was on time. Analyzed and identified problem within 10 minutes. Left and returned with needed part within 1 hour. Had job completed in 2 hours total, including picking up part. I was expecting to replace a 14 year old unit, instead it was repaired at a very reasonable price.

The first time they came out about a year and a half ago, their guy spent hours at my house getting ice out of my refrigerator and replacing the faulty drain probe heater thing (clearly not the technical term) and I was not charged more than $200. When our ice maker (which has never worked very well) gave out, they took care of that as well, and they were very reasonable. Even made an extra trip out without charging me, so that we could try one other possible fix before spending the money on a new ice maker.

Rippe Brothers will have all my business going forward. I've never had such a positive repair experience. Mike, the repairman, was knowledgeable and gave me information on the repair as well as an estimated cost, ongoing maintenance information and opinion on the dryer's long-term viability. He ordered the parts, completed the repair, saved some parts to reduce the price and had us back in operation. I was very impressed and recommend this company with great confidence.

He was great. Very friendly and professional. Didn't have a part he needed but he came back a little with the part and fixed the refridge when we thought it was going to be unfixable. Very pleasent experience. I would recommend him to everyone.

Bought new appliances, the wall oven and microwave required a reconfiguration of cabinets. They went far above and beyond calling in cabinet specialists to help put the puzzle together. They were great to work with and gave sound advice along the way. I would hire them again without hesitation and have already recommended to several friends.

Repairman said the commuter indicated that it is working okay. We explained that the timer or spin cycle must be off. Repairman ran washer without clothes in it and said "seems to be working now"??! Called as soon as I ran a load of clothes to tell them that washer still has the same problem. Offered to send someone on Monday, After paying $85 to be told "everything is fine" I decided to call someone else. Since this company is one of your "award winners", I am starting to re-think using Angie's List.

Refrigerator does not cool but the freezer part works well. He looked in freezer, it's froze up. Why I ask, Let's find out he says and starts pushing buttons, like turning off the seat belt dinger in your car push this pull that light on light off jump on one foot turn around three times twerk a bit and the defrost switch is broke. He defrosted the freeze replaced switch and life is good. He cleaned up very little mess, wrote the BILL. Case closed in 1 hour and I don't have to buy another d*** frig. Had part with him in the truck - showed up early, fixed the problem promptly. Cleaned up great after work was complete. Will use again when or if needed. A+!

Service tech arrived within the first hour of the "window" that was given for arrival. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the failed part, and restored full cooling function of the refrigerator. He was courteous and explained the fault completely. He checked to be sure that there were no other issues. I would use Rippe Brothers again.

I'm so glad that I hired Rippe Brothers to repair my washing machine, instead of buying a new one! Joni in the office arranged for our repair to be done 2 hours sooner than projected, and that was great for my schedule! Mike came over promptly, assessed the necessary repairs, discussed my options with me, and got to work. He really listened to me when I said "that's the noise it shouldn't be making," which led him to check out some things further. He triple-checked his results and explained to me what repairs might be needed in the future. He said that my 1999 machine is a good machine and worth repairing - I'm grateful for that!

Dryer was making a screeching noise. Called provider, discussed problem and had an appointment scheduled for the following day. Tech Mike arrived at 8:00AM - the start of my appointment window. Diagnosed the cause of the noise and had the part with him to fix the problem. Could not be more pleased with services provided. Mike was knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Would request Mike on any future appointments.

They were good. They were just friendly and on time. So they were good. My interactions with them was positive. The repair work turned out well. It works. I didn't spend any more than the big deal amount. They came out the same day the deal was purchased.

They had the parts, and took care of the problem. The price was in the ballpark of all the other service providers.
