Went great!

I had quite a good deal of heavy furniture and appliances, along with many boxes and clothes. They never stopped, never slowed down, and never complained. These guys know what they are doing. They are polite and professional.

Overall good experience. The staff and moving crews were very nice and professional. The office manager was awesome communicating with me and was a big reason I chose MVM. I had to play phone tag with the persons providing quotes but in the end all was ok. The only bad thing was I requested 4 movers and only 3 showed up to work. I was not told this when the crews contacted me stating they were leaving the warehouse nor did I receive a call from the owner/person in charge. I know it's not MVM fault that this mover was a no show, but they should also have contingency plans in place for when this happens (Person in charge should have personally called me to tell me that there were 3 instead of 4 movers coming). These are the reasons I gave C's in the two categories. The move took a little longer with 3 workers but the job got done. Again, really nice men moving us that were very professional. I would hire again.

The move went very well. They were on time and took care with what they were doing. The team had to get the piano up a flight of stairs. When they arrived they moved anything that might be in their way and put down pads to keep the carpet clean. When they finished they returned everything to it's original location. The guys were polite and we're careful with their work.

I could not have been more pleased with the service. Approximately 5 years ago I hired a different "Glass City" :-) mover and it was a disaster. They moved almost the identical items but it costs over $200 more and they broke, dented, or scratched various item. Maumee Valley Movers was the exact opposite. I have told everyone at work that these are the people to hire. There is a reason they have such a great rating with Angie's list. Thank you-thank you!

They provided 2 trucks and 4 men to do the job. They were very efficient and careful with our furniture and moved it all without any damage. They also set up the baby grand piano and carefully reattached the legs and foot peddles after delivering it to our new home. They were all very personable, polite, and trustworthy. I recommend them highly.

Maumee Valley Movers were great every step of the way. Kim was very nice on the phone, Tony gave us our estimate and recommendations, and the movers themselves were careful, courteous, fast and friendly. They did an excellent job with two fully packed trucks and a long hot day of hard work. I have already recommended them to several people, and will hire them the next time I need movers.

They did everything they said they would do. Nothing broken and absolutely no issues of any kind. Well worth the cost. Priced three movers all on Angie's list. They didn't have all the bells and whistles as one of the other movers but were 2K cheaper and followed through was 100%. No hesitation using them again. The two men they had moving us never slowed down, worked from the time they showed up until the time they left.

They did a very good job, were fast and took care to not damage anything. They were friendly and very efficient.

Fantastic. There were some unpreventable problems which Tony handled with the greatest professionalism. He and his crew were wonderful. Such hustle, amazing. I highly recommend them.

The movers were great. Very careful with delicate items. Explained how they were going to handle these items. Worked continuously for eight hours. Very friendly and helpful. Will use them again.

My daughter moved from Pittsburgh to Toledo. The guys arrived with an empty truck ready to move everything out of a second story 2-bedroom apartment. The movers were friendly and did a great job maneuvering heavy furniture in a tight stairwell. They let my daughter know when they were about 20 minutes away from her apartment and did the same when they got to her new house. I would highly recommend Maumee Valley Movers.

I called Maumee Valley Movers based on recommendations from Angie's List, despite having had a wonderful moving experience with another company just two years ago. Knowing that moving is a young person's game and turnover is high, I decided to go with the company that is well rated today, not yesterday. My initial impression was very positive as Kim and the owner were very pleasant on the phone and discussed my needs in detail, particularly my concern about difficulties in getting large furniture through my tight front entry space. The gentleman I spoke with suggested using three movers instead of two, saying the extra cost would offset by a quicker move. The crew of three arrived pretty much on time and the load in went well, although the third person did not seem to speed things up. Three hours later we hit I-75 for my new home and then stopped dead in traffic for nearly 2 hours due to a major accident that closed the road. Got to my new house and things went a bit south. The couch that I desperately wanted in the house apparently would not fit, although one of the movers pretty much gave up before they event attempted getting it in the house. He kept saying "It will never fit, why are we event trying?" At the end of the day, the couch is in my garage and the movers cracked my entryway light fixture. The overall experience was not horrible, but nothing great either. The three movers were just ok. When all was done and it was time to pay, the bill was $960, about 40% more than I paid to move from Wauseon to Perrysburg with essentially the same stuff. They charged me for all the wait time in the truck sitting on I-75! Long story short, I expressed my displeasure to the office and Maumee Valley did try to make it right. They paid for and installed a new light fixture, re-attached the feet to the couch that was put back footless into my garage and refunded an hour's worth of the wait time labor. However, the high price and overall lackluster service from the actual movers would make me think twice about recommending this company. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day?

Moving is a very stressful time for most people, but the team at Maumee Valley Movers made it a pleasant experience for me. Kim is the staff member who helped me coordinate the move. She was incredibly friendly & patient, and went over all of the details of the move with me in advance. She even called me the day before to verify everything we discussed. Jared & Max helped me with the actual move, and they were so professional and respectful of all my belongings. They used pads on the door entrances so not to cause any damage to entryways or furniture. They carefully planned how to fit the large pieces in the truck so everything made it to the new house safely and securely. They also gave me time to decide how I wanted the furniture arranged in each room of the new house. The whole move took about 5 hours, and they worked without any complaint. I would recommend MVM to anyone else without hesitation!

Very professional company. Owner goes above and beyond to facilitate your needs. Movers were hard working and took great care that nothing would be damaged. They were a good group of workers. Definitely would use them again.

3 guys and 1 truck moved our 1400 square foot ranch with a basement into a 1800 square foot 3 story home. The men were very professional and worked very hard the entire time. They completed exceeding my expectations. Highly recommend.

The manager arrived promptly to make a quote for service. On moving day the manager and two movers loaded items onto truck efficiently.The two young men who drove the furniture down to Columbus from Toledo were polite and friendly. One complaint is that my rolling office chair was broken and I couldn't get a replacement for that. Also they scratched the bottom of the piano by the pedals ---part of the wood finish was torn off. When they put together a double bed frame, they put the sliding wooden door in the track incorrectly and I am unable to fix that. I wish I could. I didn't realize the problem with the bed frame or the piano until after they had left.

Great job, fair price, prompt. Actually made the move fun. Kim in the office is the best! Hire them!

They were a little late in the morning but they made the lost time by working very quickly. They were very careful with my kitchen stuff. I have used movers before and this is the first time that I was impressed by any mover.

Tony provided an estimate of the cost to move, which was significantly less than the quote received from a local firm affiliated with a nationally-based moving firm. The date I wanted to move was reserved and Kim, the Office Manager, kept in contact and confirmed the final moving day schedule a few days in advance of the move. A crew of 4 came to my home and loaded the truck the afternoon prior to the move. The next morning, a crew of 2 drove the truck to my new home and unloaded the truck. Everything happened as scheduled. Both crews were timely, worked hard, and treated my property carefully. The move went very well, in large part due to the help of Maumee Valley Movers.

After searching for some options on Angie's List, we called three places for estimates. Maumee Valley Movers were the most responsive, professional, and competitively-priced (not the cheapest but also not the most expensive of the companies we contacted). We moved most of our boxes ourselves with a Penske truck on 3/28 and asked Maumee Valley Movers to move our bulkier furniture, washing machine, and dryer. Two movers came on time and were very careful with our furniture. They were professional but also friendly and funny. For us, their humor was welcome to lighten the mood since moving can be a stressful experience. They finished quickly and came in under their estimated costs.

They were fantastic, worked nonstop. They took no breaks.
