Maumee Valley Movers

I had Brian or Tony (?) come to my home to provide an estimate of how much the move would cost. When he gave me the estimate, it was for 4 movers to pack the first day and 3 movers and 2 trucks for the next day. I then planned the move for July 5 and 6 (thursday and friday), with the understanding that friday would cost more per hour. Thursday packing went well, they were very professional and finished packing at the estimated time. Friday was an extreme ordeal, for both the men and I. only one truck was available and the move required two trips. I was supposed to get 3 men and 2 trucks, I received two steady guys, with a revolving third "newby" in training. The result was that we did not finish until 11 pm, boxes and furniture were not put where I wanted them, a desk was broken, tempers were short We did not finish until after 11 pm, the movers and I were all exhausted. One of them resisted moving what I wanted to move, lost some parts to my bed and stated it would fall apart quickly, did not want to disassemble a piece of exercise equipment that I had pointed out would need to be disassembled during the initial walk through. . Tony was the only one to keep us persevering until they finished. The boss came and told them to finish up and leave now - before the truck was unloaded. The final bill was $4,805 which was over $1500 above the estimate, which is a hefty addition of 46%! This was due to the extra hours that would not have been necessary had two trucks been involved as planned. I will now have to find someone to move the furniture to where I want it, and find someone to haul away an office desk that was broken by the men when they tried to move it, but which had to be moved anyway as the house was going up for sale. The men were as professional as they could be under the circumstances, the company did not run this job well and it cost this customer far more than anticipated. 46% above the estimate is absurd. I emailed them to indicate my displeasure on 7-15-18 and have yet to receive a reply from them.

MVM was professional from the start of the move to the end. The two young men that showed up with the truck worked as hard and as professionally as I have ever seen anyone work. They were polite, courteous and respectful of all of our property during the entire move. They finished the entire move in 6 hours with a lunch break in the middle. Simply stated, I could not recommend a company more highly than I would recommend MVM. They made our move easy and worry free.

It went perfectly. The 2 staff providing the work were courteous, considerate, skilled, and professional in their demeanor.

My movers were Vince and Jaylyn. They were professional, friendly and efficient. They were able to successfully pack 90-95% of my belongings from a 1344 sq. ft. home into a single 16 ft POD. They were conscious of my priorities of what had to go into storage. They brought the remaining items downstairs for my easy access later. Though I completely understand why given I was not the first appointment of the day, the only critique I would have is not having an approximate time of their arrival. When I called to setup the appointment, Ryan was professional and friendly, taking the time to not only setup my appointment, but also answer general questions I had about packing the POD and storage.

Bo and Vince were fantastic last week when we did an in-town move on a rainy/windy day! They were friendly, careful, professional, and pleasant. They treated our belongings like their own. We received superb customer service!

Movers James, Darius, and Mack did an excellent job of disassembling, moving, and reassembling large items to our new home. Took extra time to make sure everything was right.

From the moment I spoke with them via phone to the movers themselves they were professional, friendly, and fast! They took great care of our furniture and were like the energizer bunny. It took more time than we originally thought but we added an extra place to stop. Would highly recommend!

The company charged $150.00 to move a bed one foot away from the wall. I felt this was excessive for the service performed. The company was going to charge another $150.00 to move the bed back, but my painter felt that was ridiculous and moved the bed as best as he could himself.

Just moved AGAIN for the 2nd time in a year. The first move went so well we didn't even think to call anyone else. This time Ricky & Ryan went above and beyond! So polite, careful and fast! They did an EXCELLENT job! Everyone hates moving but Maumee Valley Movers sure make it easier!

We just used MVM to move our office. As you can imagine, we had over 400 boxes of just files along with large desks and file cabinets. The team of Levi, Zach, Josh and Cody were very professional, arrived on time and were very accommodating to all of our needs. This move was a temporary while our new office is being built. We will definitely be using them in about a year for our permanent move. I would recommend them to anyone!

The men were prompt; arriving on time. They efficiently loaded two large trucks and delivered them to my new house. They were energetic, well-mannered and extremely cooperative. I highly recommend this company.

It was a terrific experience...perhaps the best moving experience we've ever had. Lance was incredibly responsive on the phone and gave us an estimate and possible dates with just one call. He returned all calls (our questions) promptly and couldn't have been more professional. On the day of the move, the lead mover was Levi Fox. Again a terrific guy. He was helpful, personable, and got the job done without hesitation. The delivery end of the move was into an assisted living facility where a common elevator had to be used. Levi was careful and considerate to staff and residents and helped us get everything set up quickly and correctly. We would highly recommend Maumee Valley Movers to anyone!

Ryan and Zach did a phenomenal job! Rarely do I give such an unqualified endorsement. They were careful with my property, hard working, fast, and had cooperative and pleasant personalities. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

I could not believe how easy it was to set up these folks to move our "large" items from our previous home to our new one. Tony and Steve arrived on time, looked over our items and set to work. They were done within several hours and everything arrived safe and sound. They were pleasant to work with and I would certainly use this company in the future and would recommend them to anyone else.

We just had our move done over last weekend. Tony and Jordan are very professional. They arrived on time and never wasted time during the move. We have a very heavy king size bed set from Costco. They managed to move them upstairs without damage any wall, stair rail or the furniture itself. This is the third time we moved these items, they did the best job. Both me and my husband were amazed. I will definitely hire them again.

Tony and Chaise were my movers, and they did a spectacular job. No lollygagging, these guys worked hard to get the job done as quickly as possible. All total time with travel was only 3.5 hours. Very professional and hard working!

Movers were prompt and professional. Mat and James had to disassembled some furniture to get it down the staircase and quickly emptied contents from second floor. Tony and Jeremy returned the contents. They were very careful not to damage newly painted walls and were masterful in negotiating large furniture around new staircase railings. Reassembled furniture. Nothing was damaged in the move and return. Both duos were careful backing up moving van not to run over yard or garden. Very satisfied with service. Note price included both moving and storage in warehouse for month. We determined it was cheaper than renting Pod, paying storage of Pod and hiring movers (we are not capable of carrying furniture up and down stairs). Plus we dealt with same company for moving and storage.
