"I WAS SURPRISED THAT THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINED ABOUT THE PRICE WEEKS AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED BECAUSE SHE DID NOT MENTION ANY OBJECTION AT THE TIME WE WERE DOING THE WORK. HOWEVER, SHE IS NOT CORRECT IN THE STATEMENT THAT SHE GOT 9 ROOMS CLEANED FOR $700. WE ALSO CLEANED TWO SOFAS, ONE LOVESEAT, ONE CHAIR AND ONE OTTOMAN AT A COST OF $260. THE COST TO CLEAN THE CARPET WAS ONLY $392.80, NOT $700. WE CLEANED 2084 SQUARE FEET OF CARPET OF WHICH 863 SQUARE FEET WAS BERBER AS WERE THE 11 STEPS. THERE WERE NUMEROUS PROBLEM STAINS ON THE CARPET THAT THE CUSTOMER WAS ADVISED IN ADVANCE THAT THEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED. WE ALSO ADVISED THAT THE FURNITURE IN THE BASEMENT WAS BADLY STAINED AND WAS NOT WORTH CLEANING BUT SHE INSISTED IT BE CLEANED. IF SHE THOUGHT THE AMOUNT WAS HIGH SHE COULD HAVE REMOVED ALL THE FURNITURE FROM THE ORDER OR AT LEAST THE BASEMENT FURNITURE. AFTER WE COMPLETED THE WORK WE WAITED AN ADDITIONAL 30 MINUTES FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO LIGHT A BASEMENT GAS GRATE IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE HEAT IN THE BASEMENT SO THE CARPET AND FURNITURE COULD DRY PROPERLY. OUR INVOICE ASKS CUSTOMERS TO REPORT ANY PROBLEMS TO US WITHIN 48 HOURS SO WE CAN RESPOND WITH A FOLLOW-UP VISIT TO CORRECT ANY PROBLEMS THAT WICKED TO THE SURFACE OR VERIFY THAT THE STAINS CANNOT BE REMOVED. WE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY CALL."
"WE RESPONDED TO THE CUSTOMER''S CALL AND PICKED UP HER SYNTHETIC AREA RUG THE SAME DAY. THE RUG WAS NOT DAMAGED. IT MERELY RIPPLED ON ONE EDGE. IF IT HAD BEEN A BETTER QUALITY RUG, IT WOULD HAVE REGAINED ITS MEMORY DURING DRYING. WE RECLEANED IT, DRIED IT, ROLLED IT UP AND RETURNED IT WITHIN A FEW DAYS. APPARENTLY, ROLLING IT UP MADE IT RIPPLE SLIGHTLY AGAIN. SO WE TOOK IT BACK, CLEANED IT AGAIN AND PUT WEIGHTS ON IT DURING DRYING. WE RETURNED IT TO HER WITHOUT ROLLING IT UP, LYING FLAT IN OUR DELIVERY VAN. THE CUSTOMER CALLED US ABOUT 15 TIMES DURING THIS PROCESS. SHE WAS VERY IMPATIENT WITH US AND THE PROCESS. WE WERE FRUSTRATED WITH THE SITUATION AND WITH HER IMPATIENCE BUT WE WERE NEVER RUDE TO HER. ON ANOTHER OCCASION SHE WAS DIS-SATISFIED WITH THE WORK OF ANOTHER CARPET CLEANER AND WANTED US TO WRITE AN UNFAVORABLE INSPECTION REPORT. SHE WAS UNHAPPY WITH US AT THE TIME BECAUSE WE REPORTED, WITHOUT CHARGE, ONLY ON WHAT WE SAW, NOT WHAT SHE WANTED US TO SAY."
