Beware Caring Transitions of Dayton. Horrible experience. Horrible. Horrible experience, horrible. At best incompetent, at worst, dishonest. We contracted with Caring Transitions to handle an estate sale of my mother's home when she moved into Assisted Living. They did not live up to their word, they did not act professionally. We met with Jonathon who came out to assess the property and give us a time estimate. We were told it would take at most 25 hours to set up the sale. We were specifically told we would not be charged for clean out, that that was covered by the 35% share of the sale. We were charged for 125 (!) hours to set up and 68 hours to clean out. There was never any communication about the increase in hours In effect, they made sure that we did not realize anywhere near the profit that we should. We barely came out with a profit. Seriously. We did not even make 10% of what they did. We were charged for supplies we were never told we would be charged for. My mistake for relying on their word, we were not given a copy of the contract. We lost the buyer of the house because of the condition of the house when the sale was completed. It was a horrible experience and I regret ever getting involved with the new owners of Caring Transitions of Dayton. Hire someone else, anyone else.

I hired Mark and Bonnie to sell my late husbands things after moving out of our home. I was promised an itemized list and told I would make well over 6000 dollars. I received no itemized list and only 2000 dollars and had my house trashed. They tried to say they only made 6100 for everything. All of the valuable things disappeared well before the sale and according to them they made less than 2000 dollars for them This included a baby grand piano , a green house, a large amount of expensive power tools,a generator, antique furniture and glassware including Roseville pottery , train sets, coke and bar collectables.large ship models and a number of kitchen appliances, including a stove and fridge, golf clubs that included a 300 dollar new driver, autographed golf card, a very expensive pro bike numbered autographed artwork, two toque res star boats, computer equipment and electronic equipment from his business to name just a bit. . They destroyed furniture and valuable paintings and threw away bibles as well as threw the flag on the ground outside by the trash. They also took all the coins from a mounted collection and when confronted said they put the coins in an envelope to return to me, instead they stuck a ten dollar bill in the envelope that didn't even cover the face value of the coins they stole. When confronted by channel six news they put the company name under someone else and tried to hide. Their contract basically gives them leeway to steal you blind, and everything they tell you verbally is a lie. Their Caring Transition business is listed as out of business on this site, but as you can see by their names being in the review they changed the name and address to someone across the street because of the three F reviews on their site. Don't under any circumstances use this company!!! They basically prey on the elderly and widowed.

Bonnie and Mark did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is trying to clean out a house in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Their services were fully covered by the sale of house items that I was unable to take to my new condo. I even made a small profit.

James is a professional. He met with me and explained the process and how he would manage the tag sale, donations on my behalf and the cleaning up afterward. James kept me informed at each level of the process. He was caring and understood this was difficult for me to go through. He handeled everything for me including donations to a charity of my choice, running the sale, advertising, researching items in the house. He researched and listed items for sale on line and he has many connections that I would not have access to. I was very successful. I would recommend James Rosario for anyone looking to downsize, or hold an estate sale. t was my pleasure to do this review for James.
