We had a wonderful experience with them. We just finished the project a week ago. We kept finding more things for them to do while they were here. I think they were fair in their pricing. We would consider using them in the future. We are already thinking about what we are going to do next.

They offer the highest quality of work. They are responsive to homeowner requests, and are very professional.

I found the company on Angie's List and left a message in the morning requesting a quote. Vance Barta called back later in the morning and actually stopped by the house that same day. Vance was very professional and personable. He was well prepared and had many samples of available moldings and photos of previous jobs. I was so impressed, I authorized him to order material and to schedule the installation as soon as possible. The work was competitively priced, and I did not even bother to get any additional quotes. On the day of the job (about 10 days later), Vance and crew showed up exactly when they said they would. Even though their schedule was quite full, they managed to fit in our job because we are preparing to put our house up for sale in the very near future. The work took about 7 hours. The workmanship was outstanding. Having an older house, the corners and ceiling lines are often times not very straight. They did not rush the job, and the quality of their work was clearly evident . . . especially on the inside & outside corner joints. It is obvious that they take pride in their work. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up afterward. I have been proudly showing off the new crown molding to friends and neighbors. To top things off, I received an unexpected rebate check from Vance a few days after the work was done. It was for the Angie's list discount, which we forgot to take off at the time of the initial quote. Honesty, integrity and excellent workmanship. What more could anyone ask for? I would definitely have additional work done by this company and I have not hesitated in recommending them to friends & neighbors, as well as my Realtor.

The job in 08 was to design, build and install a built-in TV cabinet with decorative shelves and cabinets/drawers. Vance was open to our ideas and suggestions. He took our wish list and made it fit exactly to the space. In addition, Vance and Matt installed a new triple door and hand made trim. The job in 04 was to remove existing staircase, design, build, and install a new one. While they were at it, they designed and built a matching window seat that sits at the bottom of the stairs in the foyer, looking out the window. Vance and Matt were courteous, responsive and professional. They were great with our two young children. They were very concientious about safety, as well. Vance & Lightner are excellent craftsmen!

Vance met with us several times to discuss the project and changed and reworked drawings until we were completely satisfied. He then completed the work in a timely manner and even arranged to do the actual installation while we were away on vacation at our request. When there was a slight error in measurement after the project was completed, he came out the same day we called him about it and then replaced the piece within a very short time. We were very impressed with his professionalism and the quality of his work. Vance is definitely a master craftsman and we will absolutely hire him again. We highly recommend this company.

Vance was quiet, professional and polite. He worked in our home alone while we were at work. He proved himself trustworthy. Job was completed on time. Vance and his assistant were considerate and cleaned up at the end of each workday. He is an excellent carpenter, and we have received many compliments about his work. We will hire him again to add a mantle to our fireplace.

THE QUALITY OF THE WORK ON ALL PROJECTS WAS ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. VANCE IS A PERFECTIONIST, AND MAKES SURE THAT THE SUB-CONTRACTORS PROVIDE A QUALITY PRODUCT, EVEN IF IT TAKES A BIT LONGER THAN ANTICIPATED. HIS PRICE MAY BE A LITTLE HIGHER THAN SOME OTHERS, BUT THE QUALITY OF THE OUTCOME IS WELL WORTH THE EXPENSE. THE WORKERS WERE CONSISTENTLY POLITE, CAREFUL, AND NEAT. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO CALL ON THIS COMPANY, AGAIN, FOR ANY REMODELING PROJECTS.

THEY ARE EXPENSIVE BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THEY ARE SMALL COMPANY THAT DOES QUALITY WORK. I HAVE USED THEM OVER THE LAST COUPLE YEARS FOR MANY RENOVATIONS. THEY CAPABLE OF DOING ALMOST ANYTHING OR IF THEY CANNOT DO SOMETHING THEY ALWAYS KNOW OTHERS WHO CAN.
