They did a great job. They had us in and out within a half hour.

One of the employees was holding the bed frame in my room, leaning up against it. I noticed that my bedroom door was closed, and I went over and re-opened it. When I went into my bedroom to shampoo the carpet again, I noticed that the leg of my bed was broken. I called the company and they came back. One of the employees offered to fix it for me. He offered to pay to fix it. They finally told their manager, and she said they weren't going to fix it. They will not send me the sleeve back.
Description of Work: I'm so upset, I have Henry Don Furniture - the furniture is very expensive. I have had mine for years and have taken care of it. A friend of mine recommended Kirby to me to have them clean my rug. She said I would haven't to buy a sweeper, that they would just come in and clean my rug. He talked me into buying the sweeper that also had a shampooer. He came out with another guy, and said he was training him to become a sales rep. He was cleaning my bedroom carpet, and showing the new guy how to do it. The manager then came by and introduced himself. He left and then came back with 3 more people with him. They asked if they could use the restroom. I didn't want all of those people in my house at one time. I said it was OK, even though I didn't want them to. Then they sat down on my couch, and even put their feet up on my coffee table. I asked them to put their feet down. The manager then asked me to purchase a sweeper. I told him I didn't need one. He offered me a discount, saying he was trying to become a supervisor and win a vacation.

Two gentlemen came to do a free carpet cleaning with their products but I had decided to cancel the free service. I didn't find a phone number for them (because I didn't look hard enough I guess?) so I told them when they came to our door. One of the two gentlemen, Joe, did not want to take no for an answer. He continued to pressure-sell me until I asked "Do I have to shut the door on your face to get you to leave?" "Yes" was his reply. So I did. No means no, right? I did call the company to complain, and the woman who received my call did apologize. She even stated "don't let one ignorant person ruin your experience with our company."
Description of Work: They called earlier in the week offering to come on Saturday to do a free cleaning. They said they were looking for new customers.

I have used the Kirby store on 161 since I bought my Kirby three years ago and have gotten so fed up with their rudeness and unwillingness to even answer a simple question that I went to this location to get my supplies. They were wonderful and the repair tech (Ronnie Harris) took time to come out and talk to me about the problems I have with my machine; he spent over an hour with me showing me how to use the shampooer, making small adjustments, and making sure I understood how to take full advantage of the machine. He also recommended certain Kirby products (which were just as he said). After I was home, I had problems again with the shampooer and called; he offered to come immediately to my house to fix it and took the time to walk me threw a checklist to see what the problem was (which we managed to fix over the phone) and he called the next day to make sure things were okay. Excellent service; Mr. Harris is wonderful!
