Description of Work: I had a wall clock and the hour hand came loose. Dan was very responsive and patient with my busy schedule. I just swung by at the last minute this evening and he fixed the clock in minutes! Saved me money from buying a new one. His shop is amazing and he has amazing clocks in there. If you need work done there isn't a better guy willing to help you out and he has all the equipment to do anything you need. Excellent doesn't describe the review. Thanks Dan!!!

Description of Work: Grandfather clock I got from my mother's basement wouldn't run. He came out, check it out, replaced a spring and did some basic PM. Runs great now.

Description of Work: I was really impressed by this company. The owner arrived on time and was very meticulous in cleaning and repairing a grandfather's clock that had never seen any maintenance in over 40 years.

Description of Work: Completely cleaned and oiled our Grandfather Clock and did an analysis of any problems and found none? He taught us how to take care of and wind the clock properly and how to look for problems. This company's price was more reasonable than others we had contacted and he did more. Wonderful experience, very knowledgeable.

Description of Work: We bought a mantle clock at a flea market which did not work because one of the winders did not turn. I took it in to Dan, and much to my embarrassment, discovered the two winders turn in opposite directions! Dan greased it up for me and told me a few other particulars about the clock, then told me to have nice day - no charge. I will definitely come back.

Description of Work: We tried for 2 months to contact This Olde Clock Repair. He was never in, never answered his phone, and never returned any messages. Either he's out of business, deceased, or is a poor businessman - we're not sure which. Either way after 2 months we've given up trying to give him our business.

Description of Work: We had a 42 year old mantle clock that had never been serviced in that period. It had been loosing time for several months, so we contacted Old Clock Repair and arranged to take the clock in. We spoke with the owner and he very quickly knew what the problem was and explained it to us. He said a part would have to be made and the clock would be ready in about 6-8 weeks, which was pretty much what we expected. About a week later we received a call and our clock was ready. It has been running fine and actually keeps better time than it did over the last few years. This is a very competent and courteous business. All you have to do is check the ratings on Angie's List-it presents a very accurate picture of this shop. A fringe benefit is that the shop is absolutely fascinating and is just full of all kind of clocks-it looks like a clock shop is supposed to look!

Description of Work: Old French clock was not working. The owner fixed the hands, installed a nut(and a new battery)within minutes. I was still shocked by the speed and price of the repair by the time I got home. Needless to say, I'd recommend this busy to everyone.
