 + 0 moreUnfortunately, I was never able to reach a representative of Buckeye House painting. I left 4 messages over the course of 1.5 weeks trying to get a return call for an estimate on interior and exterior painting. I was persistent because of the other glowing reports in Angie's list about Buckeye painting, with exception of one person who had my same experience. I was very disappointed and even if Buckeye Painting is too busy to accept more work, a courtesy return phone call would have been enough to satisfy me. The lack of responsiveness from Buckeye Painting says a lot. This is our first bad experience with any member of Angie's List. I feel bad having to write this report, but I wasted a lot of my time trying to reach them, and patience, in hopes I could use them for our job.
Description of Work: I was planning to request exterior front door and two windows to be painted, as well as interior painting of a sunroom, kitchen, 2 hallways and a dining room.

 + -1 moreWe had an appointment scheduled for them to paint the exterior doors of our house. They did not show, so we called them, because we thought they were just running late. At that time he told me that the sprayer was broken, and in the shop. He apologized for not calling to let me know. We rescheduled for today. My husband called yesterday to make sure they were going to be here. They said that the sprayer was still in the shop, but should be out in time and they would call us to let us know. They did not call or show. Now they are not answering their phone.

 + -1 moreThe painting was excellent, with very sharp lines where the paint met the woodwork. Dan saved me some money when he quoted the job suggesting we skip some closets that he felt didn't need painted. The job was actually completed early and Dan or a crew member kept me up to date on the progress in a timely manner. The cost was several hundred dollars less then the next higher quote.
Description of Work: Painted all walls including closets. This home has lots of stained woodwork and vaulted ceilings. This was a large 4 bedroom home with family room, den dining room, and living room.

 + -1 moreThis company was great. They were on time. They were polite and courteous, and very respectful of us and our belongings. They did a great job of painting, and the job looks beautiful. If we found a small problem, they would correct it right away. They said it would take 5 days, and they finished it on time. I could not believe that they cleaned up so well when they were done, to include running the vacuum cleaner and dusting some furniture. Dan, Calib, Bob, Cliff and Tony are the best.
Description of Work: Prep and Paint all interior walls of 2800 square foot home. 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, great room, den, dining room, sun room, kitchen, halls, and foyer.

EVERYONE ON THE JOB WAS POLITE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. PREP WORK WAS OUTSTANDING ON A HOUSE THAT HAD BEEN NEGLECTED. WHEN THE PREP WORK UNCOVERED DAMAGED TRIM, MR. MCCLURG PITCHED IN AND HELPED WITH THE REPAIRS, THEN REFUSED MY OFFER OF COMPENSATION FOR WORK CLEARLY BEYOND THE SCOPE OF HIS BID. ALL OF THIS FOR A VERY COMPETITIVE PRICE. THIS COMPANY IS FIRST-CLASS IN ALL RESPECTS.

I WROTE AN EMAIL, AND CALLED TWICE, GIVING THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. I SAW OTHER REPORTS SAYING THE SAME THING, BUT I HOPE THIS WAS ONLY A PHASE FOR THE COMPANY. AND, THEIR BID WAS MORE THAN A $1000 LOWER THAN THE OTHER TWO. IN FACT, I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE THOROUGHNESS OF THEIR BID, I MAY HAVE HIRED THEM REGARDLESS OF PRICE.
