Buckeye House Painting

Buckeye House Painting did a fantastic job. They were prompt, reliable, performed work of an exceptional quality, and completed the job ahead of schedule.

They did a good job and were very neat. When the work was completed the painter insisted I fill out an evaluation form right in front of him, which was odd and I did not like. There was an issue with them painting the windows shut, but they came out right away and took care of it. Lastly they neglected to screw in one of the metal window frames completely, they finally did come back and correct that as well. I would use them again.

They came out a week before painting and power washed. This was a bit of a surprise, since I had explained to the scheduler that I needed to be there since the house bib was in the garage. Fortunately I was there when they showed up. They scrapped all loose paint, caulked where need and painted. The site was clean when they were done. You almost couldn't tell they had been there (expect things were painted). Initially they missed some additional caulking that I had added after the job was scheduled. The crew leader came back the next day and finished that.

Excellent work. We were very pleased with all aspects of the work. They were neat and clean. We'd recommend them to anyone.

We were impressed by Katie, who was prompt and professional when she came to do the quote. Jose was very friendly and professional when he was doing the actual painting work.

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Dan McClurg, the owner, came on time to give us an estimate, including an Angie's List discount. He spent a long time explaining the system they use to paint a house (start on the front and do everything to complete each side of the house at once so nothing gets forgotten or missed), explained that he hires non smokers, that they tend to be steady, long term employees as they are treated well, and that they do a clean-up ever night before they leave. Caleb was our foreman and he kept in touch with me constantly. There was never a time when I did not know their schedule for arrival. All the employees (Tony, Jimmy, Adam, and Andrew, in addition to Caleb) were top drawer. They were diligent and very hard working, efficient and tidy. The house looks wonderful and I would strongly recommend them and hire them again.

It went very well. Communication was very good, from arriving on time to give us the estimate, to frequent follow-up calls to let us know when they were coming to do the prep work and the actual painting. They always came when they said they would, or called if weather delayed the work. The quality of the work was excellent. The crew cleaned up the area very well, with the exception of a paint spill in the grass that we found after they left. A call to the company resulted in someone coming out a few days later to clean it up and plant new grass seed. We would use Buckeye again for exterior or interior painting.

I received an estimate on time and within the agreed upon time. (Dan arrived exactly on time.) There was no pressure, and the exact quote was put in writing, good for one year. When we agreed to have the house painted, the crew came to our house, and continued painting until the whole job was finished. Everyone was polite and considerate. The house looks great, with several neighbors commenting on how nice it looks.

The crew came when they said they would and did an excellent job. From the power washing and scraping, there were hundreds of little old paint chips on the ground all around the exterior of the house, and they did an excellent job of cleaning all that up.

Absolutely wonderful. Had an illness on job leader, but rearranged so that my painting was done on schedule. Two painters -- did a great job, quiet, careful and even ran the sweeper to clean up when finished. They moved everything -- took things off the wall -- replaced everything. I could not have asked for more !!!

I had the complete interior of my house painted and the exterior garage doors. Everyone at Buckeye House Painting was very professional and very kind and respectful. I had picked many different colors from many different paint companies. The colors were matched with Sherwin Williams paint and look great. I am very particular about painting and anticipated difficulties with clean up and messy paint edges. I was overwhelmingly impressed with the entire job. Clean up was immaculate. Wall edges, baseboards, and ceiling edges were done very well. I felt very comfortable with the whole team being in my house. They were also very quick and completed the whole job in 4 days. Overall I am very impressed!! My neighbor even witnessed a small paint spill in my driveway and stated that the individual scrubbed diligently to remove it. I would have NEVER known the accident occurred had she not witnessed it. She was very impressed as well, and intends on using them for her next paint job. A+++

Dan and Katie came to my house on June 29, 2007 to give me an estimate to paint the exterior trim of my home. They showed up on time and basically walked around my home with me and told me that they just needed about 10 min to give a estimate of how much it would cost. Again, they were quick and to the point with the estimate - which included my garage door (of which I had forgotten about)- the estimate also included putting two coats of paint on my house. I was told that the painting would start and finish within the next two weeks and it did. Week #1 they came and powerwashed my house and the second week they came and finished the job. The overall painting took 2 1/2 days and they apologized - but it was not their fault that it rained for 1 1/2 days that week. Overall my house looks very, very nice and they also did a very good job with the clean-up.

Great job. The employees were very thorough. While they cleaned the deck, my daughter watched them as she has a playhouse on the deck. The employees asked her if they should clean her house - they washed it and made my toddler very happy! The workers were very nice and friendly. My deck looks brand new.

Service is friendly and professional. Phone calls were returned promptly. The house looks great.

Dan responded quickly to my call for an estimate. He suggested that he power wash the deck, scrape off peeling areas, and apply 2 coats of stain. He told us that due to the previous owners lack of deck maintenance that we would probably have to repaint with 1 coat in about 2 yrs. When I called to okay the work I was told that it would be about 3 weeks to get to us. It took about 5 to 6 weeks to complete the job(possibly due to weather). They power washed and came back a few weeks later to paint. It took less than a day to paint. The paint bubbled on a board, due to sap seeping, and we had a few spots that we felt had not been scrapped adequately. When I called Dan to discuss that, he came out immediately and promised to take care of the problems. He returned when promised and fixed it. Dan was very helpful and promised he would come back again if we had any other concerns. His very quick response was admirable and shows the pride he takes in his companies work.

Aside from painting all trim they also replaced two decorative shutters as well as missing wood trim near front door. They did a great job, even fixing my mailbox upright and painting it.

I'm very pleased with the job performed by the staff. I don't see any paint on the brick or stucco and they did NOT damage any of the landscaping. We have a lot of flowers surrounding the house - they did a great job of staying off them. It did take them a while from the time I called them to get them out to paint the house, but it was spring, and that's understandable. I wasn't in a hurry, so no issues. They did get oil all over the street in front of the house. I was told the truck they brought that day had busted a seal and was leaking. Looks bad, but not a big deal. At least they didn't park it in my driveway, that would have upset me.

The painting portion went very smoothly. My painters where Jim and Andy. They were both very courteous and informative. They did a fantastic job. My porch needed painting especially. They preped, caulked and painted the wood. The porch looks better, than it did when MI built it. Their pricing was much better, than any other bids that I received as well.

The crew from Buckeye House Painting did a wonderful job. Very professional and would recommend to anyone. Several of my neighbors ended up getting estimates to paint their houses. The company was not the cheapest estimate but by far not the most expensive.

The work was scheduled and completed promptly. The painters were all very courteous, respectful, and professional. The quality of their work was excellent.

Everything went great! Dan McClurg showed up promptly for the estimate and was very thorough to the procedures. He anticipated that he may come in higher than other contractors for my project, but he was actually less expensive. He answered all questions that I had and was very flexible with the start day for the painting. He confirmed paint colors with the paint supplier. He estimated about 2 to 2 1/2 days for completion. The day the project began, three gentlemen showed up and worked continuously. Even during lunch break, there was at least one gentleman still working. Other than lunch, they never took a break. They moved and covered my furniture. Took paintings off the wall as needed. The job was completed in 1 1/2 days. They put everything thing back in its place. Even my drapes were hung perfectly. The three gentlemen were very polite and never wore shoes in my house. I thought that was very considerate and impressive.

They did a good job. They cleaned up well every night and the workers were friendly and easy to work with. I would use them again.

They came out the first nice day and took care of the work. They made the entire process painless. The entire crew was great. They did a good job and the price seemed fair to me.
